hey moammar want to go cruising

America begins air strikes and Moammar Ghadafi goes cruisin' with his sun roof open.... Details at 11.

What the heck? Did you see that clip of Ghadafi cruising around, sticking out of his sunroof, pumping his fist in the air? WOW! He was acting as if the Browns had just won the Super Bowl.

How different things are compared to when the US had a real president. Under President Reagan, Moammar Ghadafi acted up, Ronny Raygun bombed his palace and killed one of his family members. But under Obama, he orders air strikes, Moammar goes driving around as if its spring break in South Beach. Strange days we live in indeed.

But Obama did allocate millions for boots, tents and essential food items. Oh not for the thousands of homeless in America but for the Libyan Rebels of this non-war war. Who knows, maybe we are using non-bomb bombs. Anything is possible with a Nobel Peace Prize Liberal in charge, especially one that by passes Congress's declaration for war.

Speaking of things that are non non or something like that. How is everyone doing with this non-inflation inflation we are all suffering? I am quite puzzled by it. My house insurance went up but my house value has fallen. Could this be a definition of non-inflation inflation? Or is that deflation inflation?

My house payment went up by $26 per month caused by property tax and insurance increase. To go along with those increases my auto insurance went up by $50 per year. Why? According to the different insurance agents I spoke with it could be lots of reasons. Number one on the list, the rates went up.

I was told by one agent the insurance industry went to the government and they OK'd the increase. Is this state or fed? Was it under Strickland or Kasich? Even though I doubt if it was Kasich.

One lady agent I spoke to got me so upset that I wanted to pull her hair. She said Well they take into consideration many things. One is your credit. I said My rating is 810. After going no where and back she says again well you should start with your credit report. LADY I TOLD YOU I JUST GOT IT BACK AND IT IS 810. I realize that sir but that's where I would start. GOOD BY! Unless she meant what someone makes in a year. So if that's the case, many people right now are making less, should we all expect an increase? How sad is that.

Another said the economy is bad so more people are calling in claims.

And finally one other agent said this wacky statement. Actually the rates have gone down in recent years for auto insurance but if you haven't had an increase the last few years that's why yours went up? Please someone translate for me.

And gas, the sky's the limit it seems. But because of that, one thing gains in value, my vehicles. Every time I fill up, they double in value. Another non-inflation inflation example?  Or is that inflation inflation?

I guess maybe I should go visit Libya. The way Mommar is driving around having a good time it seems like he can afford the gas and the insurance. Hey Mommar what are you doing Friday, want to go cruising and watch the air show?

This article is from a few weeks ago. Something caught my attention and had to share it with you.

AP - President Barack Obama moved aggressively to show his government is in charge of the Gulf oil spill on Thursday, calling the spill an "unprecedented disaster" and blasting a "scandalously close relationship" between oil companies and regulators.

Ok did you see it? Let me point it out in case you didn't. I will highlight what jumped out at me.

Since when is this Obama's government? I don't ever remember our American government being referred to as President Reagan's or President Bush's or actually any other president as His government.

We have a problem folks. Correct me if I am wrong.

carey's humorous and serious thoughts

I've received that email that's been circulating of President Obama with his feet up on the desk. That made me think of President Reagan who had so much respect that he would never take off his suit jacket while in the Oval Office. At least you can say this about President Obama, he didn't remove his pants like Slick Willy.

Another disheartening fact. 30% of our food will be imported by 2012. Now heres the irony. Our government is so concerned about our health and the environment that they have very stringent controls that its now cheaper to import our food where there is much less to no regulations in foreign countries. So we go from one extreme to another.

Tourism is down in the US but up in many other countries. We are even losing our tourist industry.

The Chilean quake was so strong that the earth shifted on its axis and shortened the day. The length of the day lost about 1.26 microseconds. Well that explains why I wasn't able to accomplish everything today.

Apple Computers have been repeatedly criticised for using factories that use child labor and abuse workers. Their motto at the factories - An Apple a day keeps the whips away.

A couple of thoughts about the Olympics. It may seem like they sort of contradict each other and maybe they do.
The first thought is about America's medal count. We won the most medals - 37 total. BUT we did not win the most gold. Canada set a record with 14, Germany had 10 and we tied Norway with 9. This made me think of this Socialist move in America where everyone is equal. More moderation instead of excelling. We best regain our personal freedoms that encourage greatness as the rest of the world is starting to pass us by.
The other thought.
I watched the closing ceremonies. Players of the different countries paraded around proudly representing their homeland. And then they showed America and the different races and nationalities that made up our teem. It just hit me that even though we have serious problems in this country, this is what makes our country so great. As different as we all our when we come together we can accomplish great things.

Big Gains for the GOP in 2010?

Word is already circulating that there will be big gains for the GOP in 2010, not so fast. While its true a large majority of Americans are disillusioned with President Obama's broken promises, big government policies, trillions of dollars of debt and the fact that America is not ready for socialism this will not be enough to ensure Republican gains let alone victories. Fresh in everyone's mind that call themselves Conservative, Christian or a true Republican is how we have been pushed aside and forgotten in the last election up until the last ditch effort of choosing Governor Palin to woo us back.
The Republican Party is as much to blame or more so than the Democratic Party for the condition that America is in. Moral conscience voters and believers of freedom have not voted Democratic in some time. They have never hinged their hope on the Left for restoring America to where it should be. They have looked at the Republican Party as a beacon of light to lead us back to the Constitution and Godly principles. When the Republican Party failed to capitalize on their gains when they controlled the White House voters strayed or stayed home. So it isn't a given that the Democratic/Socialist Party will lose seats until the Republican Party learns how to rebuild and bring back to the fold voters who left and now call themselves independent or a member of another party.
For this to happen the GOP first needs to police the party and weed out elected officials for moral or other inappropriate actions, such as the behavior of South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, and failure to support the Constitution. All Republican leaders should of immediately demanded Sanford step down and strip him of any further party affiliation. WHY would you expect people to support the GOP if these misdeeds go unchecked, the party is no better or different then the Democratic Party.
Next our Republican Leaders then must ask themselves is it country or party first? After President Reagan the Republican presidential candidate it seems has been chosen or pushed to the front by the party elite or the media while the lower tier candidates have been silenced or ignored. I am tired of hearing I am voting for the lesser of two evils. The voice of the people is not being recognized. The Tea Parties that are breaking out all over the place are a product of this. The protests and anger being shown is aimed as much at the Republicans as it is against the Democratic regime now in office. We have little time to get the Republican Party united and back in shape, if not it will stay a minority party but more importantly America will continue its slide into complete socialism.

The Obama Fervor

Friends,
I was driving through Euclid the other day and saw a poster of Obama in a store window. I am sure you have seen this popular poster. It is his profile colored in red, white and blue with the words hope under him. But suddenly it occurred to me that I have seen this poster before, way before Obama ran for president. Trying to jog my memory, I believe it was possibly of Stalin or of one of the communist leaders of the 60's. I decided to research this online and lo and behold I was not the only one with this thought. So instead of writing what someone else has already I ask you to please take a look at this article.

This is disturbing. President Obama was a senator for only a short duration with no accomplishments that I know of and has been a president for less than 2 weeks and people are carrying on like he is God. Posters, coins, tattoo's, it is bordering on idol worship. All presidents have had drawings and photos taken but they always represented America. For instance one of my favorites photos of President Reagan is of him wearing a cowboy hat and smiling. That photo signifies America's heritage. I could give a rundown of some of our other presidents and what visual comes to mind. And each visual signifies one of their traits which in turn represents America. With Teddy Roosevelt I think of hunting which in turn represents America's wilderness and strength, Lincoln you think of freedom, Carter - farming but none of them have been lifted up as high or as quickly as Obama.
If its his race than why aren't we thinking of that? We aren't, we
think of Obama. His looks, his speeches, people think of Obama as their savior. I respect President Reagan and think of a great leader, a leader that represented America well but I don't think of Reagan as my God and he served two full terms as president with many accomplishments and was a successful governor before hand. What has Obama done?
This Obama fervor is way more then a celebration of the first African American being elected. The worship people have bestowed upon Obama has been seen in other countries where rabble rousers incite the masses with class warfare and words of change. Is America to the point where we need a savior that promises to help in every area of our lives and grow the government to accomplish it or do we just need a leader with a vision to limit government and allow more self responsibility? The course America is on is very dangerous. We have handed the keys over to Obama without any track record and along with it our hopes for change. It is the change that I am fearful of. We don't need change. What we need is to reverse the course America is on and return it to where it once was, a God fearing nation. Thats where you put your hopes, not in Obama.

1. You shall have no other gods before me.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
