I received a notice from Etsy regarding the new tax laws. I will not comply so my Etsy account will be stagnant.

Then I received this a few days ago in case you missed it or didn't receive this notice

"Hi Carey, You're receiving this email because you're offering shipping on listings that you've chosen to list in the miscellaneous category. Due to new tax restrictions, miscellaneous listings will no longer be eligible for shipping after Dec 31, 2021. If you'd like to continue offering shipping for miscellaneous items, update the listing to a specific category by Dec 31, 2021. If you no longer wish to offer shipping on these items, no action is needed and your listing will default to local pickup after Dec 31. Thanks, The Facebook Marketplace Team"

 For all you Obama/Biden lovers who thought ONLY the rich would be taxed you are woefully misinformed.

You very breath will soon be taxed.

I sell on Etsy, making a few extra dollars per month on old items that were already taxed multiple times.

This is the notice I received from Etsy:

Your taxpayer information is required

Due to new United States tax regulations, Etsy and similar companies will be required to report your 2022 sales to the IRS in 2023 if you make over $600 in the next year*.

Starting in January 2022, shops that don’t have taxpayer information on file will be suspended as they near this threshold. In order to ensure there are no disruptions to your selling experience and payouts, please add your taxpayer ID and address now.

$600 is the new rich threshold!!!

Banks will report this $600 level also.

When you go Socialism no single dollar is safe

This will crush many people, the elderly who supplement their income, the person trying to make ends meet, the unemployed who use this as a stop gap
