another sad day for America

It was another sad day on December 22nd, 2010 for America with the signing of the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell which will allow homosexuals and lesbians to serve openly. Sad is putting it mildly.
The Obama administration promised change and we are getting it. By the time he is done so much damage will have occurred that it will take years if ever to put this nation back to where it once was, a Godly nation that was feared, respected and envied by the world. We are now no better then any other nation, maybe worse.
The allowance of sodomites to serve openly is a travesty as far as I am concerned. It is one thing to allow homosexuals a job, everyone needs to earn a living and everyone is entitled to certain unalienable rights but when actions cross moral boundaries and the laws of nature that's where those rights end, the public should not be forced to accept that kind of behavior, especially when representing a nation.
Homosexuality is a behavior problem. You will never convince me otherwise. Even in the homosexual community there are arguments as some say they are born that way while others get upset and say no I wasn't its my choice. And I agree with the later, it is a choice and a choice that should not be forced on me to accept.
All the problems our nation is facing but Obama decides to have our congress and courts tied up with something like this. Even worse we are still in a war, this is not the time to reinvent our military that could unravel our cohesiveness. I thought the armed forces were all about getting the best personal to defend this nation? But now our military is part of all the other social experiments and tinkering that is going on in America. Is this where we want experimentation? What will happen when a homosexual is refused entry or gets a dishonorable discharge, can he scream discrimination like so many others have and win? And what does the term to serve openly mean? Can men now share bunks? I just don't understand this.
All major religions preach against homosexuality and it is the only act mentioned in the bible that it is an abomination to God. If God created people this way then why would he condemn them? Only recently with revisionist fighting to change religion are some churches accepting it. I believe these revisionists are also part of the communist push to do away with religion and this is an avenue to do it. They could never attack our beliefs straight on but they could by eroding the foundation of it. Soon it will be hard to preach what is right and what is wrong. This is nothing more than social engineering at its purest sense. Can a state sponsored church be far off that will tell us what is acceptable to preach and what isn't? We are heading in a dangerous direction.
You wanted the change, I didn't.

I would be willing to bet that none of them ever served in the armed forces. The issue of privacy, actually the lack thereof in military situations, will cause this policy to weaken our armed forces and endanger us if we are ever attacked.

The slow but sure demise of Christmas

The slow but sure demise of Christmas. Oh this has been going on for sometime now. The rulings that have outlawed manger scenes from public displays unless you give equal time to other religions such as Islam and the acceptance of pagan holidays such as Kwanzaa, hearing more and more about the madness of black Friday and whether sales figures will be up have all contributed to the watering down of the Christmas season.

But the elimination of Christmas was never more evident than at the 2010 Winterfest held in downtown Cleveland this past weekend. Maybe I shouldn't of been to surprised because the name does give a hint as to what the festival was to hold but I still was taken aback.

I have been going to see the light display in Cleveland since a child when my parents would drive the family down there. I carried on the tradition of making it habit to see the display all but the last five years or so. This year I went with my best friend and his family because his children never got to experience it. I wish I would of not attended so my memory of how things were would not of been ruined by the present. It's sad what the Christmas season has turned into.

The name of the event held in Cleveland says it all - Winterfest - which is a joke because we are not officially in winter yet. A winter fest should be held when? in winter, say January or February. This is the Christmas season - period.

The light display itself was lame, just lame and not worth the gas to go see it. I saw no theme. I saw no wreaths. I saw no bells. No snowmen. No trains, nothing! And definitely not a sign or hint of the word Christmas. Nada!

The MC's of the event did all they could to try to keep the crowd enthused and build they hype of the lighting ceremony. Mayor Jackson said a few words welcoming everyone and so did other notable people and councilman of Cleveland. Unless I missed it, I didn't hear any of them say Merry Christmas. I did hear welcome to Winterfest. The entertainment was OK. Even though a few of the songs we scratched our heads trying to figure out what that had to with Christmas. And the girl group the Pink Stilettos were good but they came from Salt Lake City. C'mon Cleveland you couldn't find a local group?

After the square was lit and the fireworks display we ventured inside of Tower City and were greeted by the same thing inside. Lame! The decorations were sparse and we couldn't find much of anything that said Christmas. We quickly left.

I brought home two things from the event. One was the program of the Winterfest. I grabbed it so I could send it to my over seas friend as a souvenir of an American Christmas celebration. But upon reading and witnessing what I saw, the booklet ended up in the trash. In the whole fifteen pages of the program were only three mentions of the word Christmas. Two of them were in ads from the Old Stone Church on pages 8 & 10 and on page 9 was an ad for Scrooges Night Out. That's it! No other mention or hint of Christmas.

The other thing I brought home was a political paper someone handed to my friend. He gave it to me cause he knows I am into politics. The paper was a newspaper from the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. I will quote just one sentence from it.

"The truth is, there are no gods... and we don't need them."

Judging from the Winterfest Cleveland has really taken that communist message to heart. As I never saw or heard mentioned God or Christmas anywhere in downtown other than from a group from Akron Bible Baptist Church preaching the gospel on the street.

Merry Christmas,
Carey Masci

For those who may be upset about what I said about Kwanzaa, just do the research. This is only one I pulled off the web.

During the early years of Kwanzaa, Karenga said that it was meant to be an alternative to Christmas, that Jesus was psychotic, and that Christianity was a white religion that black people should shun. However, as Kwanzaa gained mainstream adherents, Karenga altered his position so that practicing Christians would not be alienated, then stating in the 1997 Kwanzaa: A Celebration of Family, Community, and Culture, "Kwanzaa was not created to give people an alternative to their own religion or religious holiday."

Keep an eye on my You Tube page, humminaaa, as I will be posting some clips on it soon, one is from John from the Akron Bible Baptist church.

What is one of the things needed to turn America around? Here is what Dave Macko running for State Representative has to say about property taxes, zoning and all regulations:

A license is permission to do that which is otherwise illegal. Therefore, in a free country there should be no licenses to heal, travel or exchange goods or services.
If you accept the concept that the government has the power to protect people from themselves then there is no limit to the creation of a totalitarian state.

Finally, communism is the abolition of private property in land. Property taxes, zoning and all regulations such as were mentioned above are huge steps in that direction. Zoning must be phased out gradually to preserve property values and the concept of restrictive covenants to voluntarily limit abuses must be reinstated.

Coming to Ohio? Lets hope

OHIOANS - Conservative Republican Ohio Senator Tim Grendell supports the Ohio Sovereignty Amendment and I have found that Sen. Grendell supports 99% of what I support 99% of the time. He's a good man that I've consistently voted for for every position he's run for and I have never regretted my vote. -- Donna

Residents may be putting one vote on many issues

Registered voters might be asked to read a lengthy document for November ballot placement, then read it again to approve or disapprove the issue in the actual final Election Day decision.

That’s the Ohio Sovereignty Amendment.

The proposed Ohio Constitution change “expressly declares that Ohio citizens declare sovereignty over the state and their authority to alter or abolish government,” according to the amendment.

Among many issues, voters would be asked to:

* Give the people new power to recall any public officeholders by means of petition “whenever they deem necessary.”
* Mandate that recall vacancies be filled by the governor only with applicants nominated by citizens.
* “Substantially redefine the people’s right to bear arms (excluding explosives, biological and chemical systems).”
* “Secure the people’s right to operate their militia.”
* Require that all Ohio laws be “constitutionally compliant” before being enacted.
* Make the sheriff’s office “expressly preserved” in the Ohio Constitution and “not subject to infringement” by state legislators.
* Prohibit “federal or foreign agencies from enforcement activities in Ohio except through the sheriff at his sole discretion.”
* Give the Ohio Supreme Court new power to suspend “any law it deems to be unconstitutional.”
* Mandate that juries “may be comprised only of Ohio citizens.”
* Mandate that sovereignty “be supported in all schools in Ohio.”
* Declare that any attempts to “subvert the Constitution” are “not pardonable” by the governor if such acts are “deliberate or substantial subversive acts.”

In literature being distributed statewide, Michael Young, leader of the People’s Constitution Coalition of Ohio, wrote:

“The proposed amendment is not an attempt to secede from the union, to overthrow government or attack any race or culture. It simply provides the means by which the people can protect their rights and liberties with minimal government interference.

“(The proposed amendment) was constructed to hold government in compliance with and accountable to our state and federal constitutions. It provides the legal mechanisms that people need to ‘effectively and efficiently’ fulfill their duty in holding government accountable.

“There has not been a constitutionally compliant government in the United States for over 150 years. As a result, we find ourselves suffering today from a collapsing economy, perpetual debt, loss of our industrial base, surrendering of American sovereignty and destruction of our Christian heritage.”
