Update on the Constitution Party of Lake County and the 14th district race

First an update on the Constitution Party. Currently in Lake County it is still a party of one – me, Carey Masci.

To be a recognized political party in the state of Ohio you need three positions filled, those positions are chairman, secretary and treasurer. I am doing all I can to promote this party. It is an easy sell as most people who have dropped out over disgust of the two party system would and want to vote for Constitution Party candidates - the problem is... people don't want to get involved to party build, they want a ready made party.

HOWEVER there is someone in Lake County who is fairly well known that heads a liberty group who is intrigued by the offer I made to him of stepping down and letting him take chairman and I would become vice chair. I have no problem with that as this is not about me but doing what is right for America. This person is currently involved with this coming election so we will talk further after November.

Some have asked and questioned if as Lake County Chairman of the Constitution Party would I endorse Dave Macko who is running as a Libertarian. The answer is no, as chairman it would violate the party rules. Besides there are some differences between the Constitution Party and Libertarians and if I would endorse Dave Macko I am in essence saying I agree with the Libertarian platform which I do not. BUT as an individual I believe Dave Macko is the best man running for congress in the 14 district.

Our other options are Wager who is a Democrat. I just do not agree with the Democratic Party on much of anything especially a candidate who is for Obamacare. Then there is incumbent 48% Dave Joyce, a LaTourette puppet, who ran a complete smear campaign against a good man Dave Lynch, a tea party favorite just to win a primary. Why do I say 48% Dave? Because in Conservative grading he scores only a 48% at best and other score cards have him at 45% or lower.

I feel as probably a lot of you do also that I am just treading water trying to educate people. As bad as things are voters are still clinging to the notion that voting for the lesser of two evils is the right thing to do. Using Joyce as an example, I have spoken to people who are not for Joyce, they don't agree with his record but they refuse to vote for a candidate even though he/she is closer to their thinking because they are either a long shot or have no chance of winning so they vote just so the opposition doesn't win. I ask and challenge this type of voter with this question... how can we build momentum to finally have a strong third party candidate or steer the nation back to the right if you keep voting for someone who does not stand for true American principals? We can't.

But does this mean that I am contradicting myself for voting for Dave Macko and voting for the lesser of evils as some have proposed? Not at all. I am in no way voting for the lesser of two evils, I am voting for someone that I have a few differences with. Overall I can not argue with someone who has preached the same message over and over again of downsizing the government, abortion is wrong, securing our borders is a must and repealing Obamacare plus he even utters the forbidden – IMPEACH OBAMA which not many dare say, not even Conservative Republicans.

Just think if all the voters who say a third party is needed actually voted for a candidate that didn't have a D or R by their name. We possibly could already have a third party candidate elected.

So be it, lets all rush to the polls to vote for someone we don't like, vote for the lesser of two evils and then immediately afterwards complain of who we have in office and the condition America is in. After all isn't that the American way? Or is that the two party way?

Trayvon Martin - FURTHERMORE - The news letter of America News and Views March 22

Host Bob Murphy, Our Tea Party Liaison Carey Masci, and Senate Candidate Dave Macko were discussing events and news.
I was asked why a Libertarian in the booth? Well to that I ask is it God, country and then party? If it is then what matters is the person’s stance on issues.
Dave Macko is pro-life, in favor of removing the US from the UN, limiting if not eliminating the EPA, and would love to see Obama impeached, all Conservative stances.
Our country is in trouble and anyone who recognizes this and is in the battle to restore freedoms to our country we should give an ear and listen.

Now to the newsletter:
Trayvon Martin
Racism is alive and well when it should be dead but the blacks and liberals keep fanning the smoldering ashes to bring it back. When I first heard about the murder of Trayvon Martin I didn’t jump to conclusion I needed to know more.  The first thing I did was research the crime statistics for the area where the altercation took place. Researching the crime stats would tell more of the story or fill in some blanks.

According to Neighborhood Scout (http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/fl/sanford/crime/) the city of Sanford has a crime index of 3 – which means the city is safer than 3% of the cities in the US. A score of 100 is safest. A score of 3 wouldn’t make you feel so secure would it?

The specific area where this happened was the gated community of Retreat at Twin Lakes but from another article taken off the web I found this …police had been called to the 260-unit complex 402 times from Jan. 1, 2011 to Feb. 26, 2012. Looking at these stats puts things into a little bit of a different perspective.

I am not giving George Zimmerman the shooter a free pass but the point I am trying to make is the real victims of a killing like this are the people who live in these crime ridden areas that are almost like prisoners and don’t know what else to do.

Until America changes her moral path, addresses poverty, chases out liberal judges who hand out lenient sentences and we end this poor me attitude and place the blame on the criminal not the victim of the crime out of frustration these unfortunate acts and killings will continue to happen.

Is Santorum reading my blogs? Santorum said it would be better to elect Obama instead of Mitt. OK maybe those aren’t his exact words but that’s what’s all over the Internet and it’s just what I have been saying. So let me say it again and again and again – YES – it would be better to elect Obama over Mitt. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.

Let me try once more.
If Mitt gets elected the issues of Christianity, homosexuality, abortion, mandated government programs are off the table. No more will they be discussed, Republicans will become just like the Democrats. We need to hold the fort and get a true Republican elected.
Gaffs vs. Lies
Let me try it this way.
Gaff – Obama: I have been to 57 states. No rebuttal, no spin, dumb stupid gaff.
Lie - Mitt: I am not for the Blunt amendment. Spin time: I am for the Blunt amendment the question asked was confusing.
Gaff – Obama: Eau Claire is a big important state
Lie – Mitt: we have to speed up the foreclosures so investors can buy. Whoops: Mitt then said government should help banks to keep people in their own homes.
Understand yet? A gaff you don’t have to correct, you laugh and move on, with a lie or when you speak honestly but it doesn’t help your campaign you have to spin and cover up your previous statement. Mitt doesn’t make many gaffs. He is telling you the first time what he wants and intends to do. Mitt is a very moderate to liberal Republican if you can call him one.

Surprised by the poor showing of Ron Paul.
I thought we would see a three way fight between a Conservative (Santorum), Libertarian leaning (Paul) and an establishment (Romney) candidate battle until the end with each hovering above or near the 30% mark.
I know Paul has some unconventional ways and thinking but I thought he would be doing much better. Very surprising. Maybe he will have a late surge, anything is possible.

Friends,
I lived through the race riots of the 60’s. It’s a real shame in the year 2012 we are still having race issues but the truth is our country and the world will never eradicate all hatred or predjudism. But what each one of us can do is when a situation like Trayvon Martin happens is let the courts handle it and not jump to conclusions.
We must not allow this to divide America, that’s what the enemy wants, we must not fall for it. And if each one of us would lend a helping hand to those in need and a welcoming smile to everyone we meet America would be a far better place.
That’s how America will stay United.
Your Friend,
Bob Murphy

Seven Candidates - Macko and Hocevar

I hear a lot of complaints about our leaders and elected officials. And I keep telling people NOT all are thieving liars. You need to attend the different functions, you need to meet the candidates face to face to find out. Here are a few that I endorse.

It was hard to narrow it down of whom to endorse as I have met many fine qualified people. So this is my short list of seven candidates that I believe are honest, have integrity, still believe in America and that can make a difference. Most of these candidates have never held office before. I call this the year of the businessman/non-politician.

1. Dave Macko candidate for State Rep of the 17Th (Bentleyville, Brecksville, Broadview Hts., Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls Township, Glenwillow, Hunting Valley, Indepenence, Lyndhurst, Mayfield, Moreland Hills, Oakwood, Pepper Pike, Seven Hills, Solon, Valey View, Walton Hills)

Dave Macko is the only non-Republican on my list. I always said party doesn't matter as much as the invidual. But I usually vote and endorse Republicans because of their core beliefs. I have never been able to for any Democrat as their philosophy is so un-American and immoral its impossible to do so.

About Dave Macko, I may not agree with him on everything but on the things that I do, I strongly agree with him. I like to call Dave Macko "The Wrecking Ball". That's how I see his approach to our government. Dave wants to dismantle every unconstitutional law and department and just do away with it. He is pro-life and goes against the Libertarian platform of pro-choice. Dave is also highly in favor of the right to keep and bear arms. Its unfortunate and wrong that Dave Macko didn't receive the endorsement from either the pro-life or pro-gun groups. The memberships of clubs, associations and organizations that Dave belongs to is way to lengthy to list. Its impressive.

Dave Macko is probably the most misunderstood candidate. The biggest reason is, Dave doesn't have very good bedside manners. If he were a doctor I could see him going into a patients room and saying Go home now and get things in order, you will be dead in a week, goodbye. And that's Dave's approach towards where America is at. He doesn't have time to play games and say things you want to hear, he comes at you with the truth. America is on life support - period.

  Dave Macko promises:
"I will never vote to increase taxes or fees or to impose new taxes or fees or to diminish the liberties of any innocent person. I will always keep my oath to defend the Constitutions for the United States and Ohio. I will always strive to do what is best for my constituents and the people of Ohio."

I believe Dave will do what he says, he is firm in his beliefs and disciplined enough not to compromise his values. If you really want to send a message, shake things up, and restore individual freedom vote - Macko.

                       http://www.mackoforliberty.com/

  2. Tony Hocevar candidate State Rep of the 7Th (Euclid, Cleveland's Collinwood area, Richmond Heights and South Euclid)

I always look for honesty and passion in an individual, Tony Hocevar has both. When I first met Tony over dinner and told him some of my concerns, he told me straight out, Carey I don't think I can help you, I may not be the man for you. That was a breath of fresh air. So many times politicians promise everything that you know its impossible or just a flat out lie to get your vote. Not with Tony, he knows he weaknesses and his strengths.

Tony Hocevar recently received an endorsement from the Association of Builders and Contractors of Ohio (ABC of Ohio) which says a lot because his opponent in the race is incumbent Ken Yuko who comes from an organizing role background with a local labor union.

Tony Hocevar stated, “I am extremely honored and humbled by the confidence ABC has shown in my abilities to support the mission of Ohio’s workers and contractors. I have worked in the construction industry for the great majority of my life. I understand the struggles and challenges workers and owners face day to day. I will continue promoting the principles of open competition, free enterprise, lower taxes, worker’s rights and responsible government regulation. Together, we will restore an environment of job growth in Ohio, helping our families and communities prosper. Thank you ABC of Ohio!”

“We must divest ourselves of the status quos in county and state politics and elect fresh faces who realistically work for and understand the grassroots attitude of our communities. Who knows the breadth of Cuyahoga County’s corruption web? Let’s remove every last vestige of deceit in the state! I will be fair and honest in my role as the next State Representative for eastern Cuyahoga County, not hiding myself among the politicians, lobbyists and lawyers.”

I never take notes, I write strictly from memory and I will never forget Tony's speech at the Euclid Tea Party.  He just made you feel proud and hopeful for the future. This is one quote:

"People want to come to America not because what it was, not because what it is, but because what it can be."

And that's why he is running for state representative, he has a vision for the future.

People tell me all the time but what can I do? Simple - Get Involved!
With modern technology such as cell phones and the Internet its very easy to do so. Contact these candidates and ask for voter lists and make calls on their behalf, blast out emails in their support, post this message and others on different forums and blogs and donate. But the easiest thing you can do is simply tell a friend, vote for.....
Even if you live in another state and don't like your candidates, then help us here in NE Ohio, we need it!

We are at a serious crossroad my friends! Remember what Euclid did to me?
                                                        Carey Masci

As John Kasich candidate for Ohio governor said at the
Lake County Republican Convention in August 2009.

"You have one more chance to get this right and that's it!"

Get involved friends please get involved before its really to late!

What is one of the things needed to turn America around? Here is what Dave Macko running for State Representative has to say about property taxes, zoning and all regulations:

A license is permission to do that which is otherwise illegal. Therefore, in a free country there should be no licenses to heal, travel or exchange goods or services.
If you accept the concept that the government has the power to protect people from themselves then there is no limit to the creation of a totalitarian state.

Finally, communism is the abolition of private property in land. Property taxes, zoning and all regulations such as were mentioned above are huge steps in that direction. Zoning must be phased out gradually to preserve property values and the concept of restrictive covenants to voluntarily limit abuses must be reinstated.

Abolish the EPAs by Dave Macko

The federal Environmental Protection Agency was established by executive order by Nixon. Congress did not establish it.
It is not authorized by the Constitution and should be repealed.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohio_Environmental_Protection_Agency Ohio's EPA was created on October 23, 1972 just after the state income tax was imposed so that the government could squander more money. But I was unable to find out the date of founding at my quick inspection of the EPA's own site. Are they trying to hide something?

The EPA's site tells how they want to regulate every aspect of your life, including the air in your home.

If anyone pollutes air or water they should be charged with trespass and compelled to repair the damage which they have caused. We have courts for that purpose. For this reason the federal and state EPA's should be abolished.

We got along without EPA for almost 170 years. We can do so again.

Dave Macko's take on: a tale of 2 stories - which is true?

"Ten years ago, I would have dismissed the theory by Sorcha Faal which is reprinted in Godlike Productions without giving it any consideration.
However, the situation has become so ominous, especially since spokesmen for both the Bush and Obama regimes have defended the assertion that the president can have Americans executed without trial, i.e. murdered, that I no longer dismiss such speculation as ungrounded.
In short, I don't know.
We need to turn this country around so that we can be at least reasonably confident that such events are not happening."

Your Words

Hey Gang,
This is a gathering of some the latest responses I had of emails I sent out. Thanks as always for your input and feedback!

More info on the federal mutual fund
This is being pushed by the unions because most union pension plans are under water.
If the unions can manage to get the Feds to raid 401ks and the like and redistribute them, then they can get out of their underfunded pension programs. Most rank and file pension programs are less than 80% funded, which means they are in trouble!
Tiberi is a co-author of the bill.
http://www.realclearmarkets.com/articles/2010/04/08/decrying_the_union_pension_bailout_bill_98411.html
Basically, if the unions get their way, they are setting up the path for the federal mutual fund raid. Pam M.

Mike P's. solution:
Carey: We hear government bemoan every other day that they (local, state, and federal) don't have any money. Several elected officials have told be that just about any government budget is somewhere between 80% - 85% salary, benefits, and pension. I have and idea!
Make some BIG cuts to the salary, benefits and pension of local, state and federal employees. Enough is enough!
Let's stop funding non-essential functions of government.
Cut recreation departments! Close parks! Close libraries! Privatize schools!
Contract out snow plowing, cutting of grass, and most functions of service departments.
Just a few thoughts.

A response from a democrat
Maybe its not needed as most of you know me quite well but I want to add that the reason I sent that email out "response from a democrat" was not to make fun of, show how ignorant, or to make myself look smarter BUT to show what we are up against. How do we educate these people? This is what the liberal anti-God agenda has made.

Slovak Mom says....
Their grammar and spelling are just as stupid as they are....this is a reflection of the idiocy of the electorate...Is it any wonder that "Barry" was elected? ....This is my greatest fear...."an uninformed, and stupid electorate"....I have similar friends and I would like to just "smack them across the head and tell them to wake up....Rome is burning"!

Brilliant insight from John in Maine
Hi Carey, You reach these people by VOTING their leaders that have the same mentality OUT OF OFFICE!!! Guess your friend doesn't know American history, & with blind eyes, no reason to explain it to him/her.

An explanation on the latest election
Primaries attract the most dedicated people and the higher tax advocates. It would be better to have tax levies only at general elections.

10% of Cleveland Schools' Teachers laid off

AND THE BEAT GOES ON....
Just remember this come November what the Dems did to Cuyahoga County. Dave Macko, State Rep hopeful, may be right when he says he wants to abolish property tax. Most of it goes to the schools. If people keep their tax dollar they can educate their children by other means rather than a broken public school system.

My name is Dave Macko I am a member of Libertarians for Life. I disagree with the Libertarian Party national platform concerning this vital issue.
See www.l4l.org. I believe that the Roe vs. Wade decision should be reversed, repealed by withdrawing the appellate jurisdiction of the US Supreme Court or nullified by the legislature of the state of Ohio. I oppose all abortions except those which result from procedures which are necessary to save the life of the mother or to prevent her from being permanently injured.
The abortion murders of 50,000,000 unborn children are an abomination.
I favor and will vote for a return to Ohio abortion laws prior to 1973 or their strengthening if necessary.
