Puff the Magic Johnson

Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west

And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess
Most of all the voters were tired of this stuff
And brought their poster boards and signs and said we had enough

OH

Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west
And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess
Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west
And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess

Then one cold autumn day they told him he couldn't play
In their meaningless staged debates so Johnson went away
But others they were saddened and did what they could do
They told Johnson they loved him the others were the fools

OH

And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess
Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west dragon
And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess

Now Johnson he was happy when he heard these very cry's
So Johnson he came back again and said I'll do more than try
I have to win the presidency to save our fabled land
Cause Obama is a socialist and Romney has no plan

Mitts head was bent in sorrow, green backs fell like rain,
I really am a conservative but my governing is a stain
And I'll never win the White House that Johnson is a pain
Obama wasn't worried though he knew he would still reign
But if only I could throw that Joe beneath a speeding train

OH

Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west
And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess
Puff, the magic Johnson who governed in the west dragon
And frolicked with the GOP until they made a mess

2 weeks of humor - whoops forgot to post this

Hey Gang here is two weeks of humor, I mean not two weeks worth of reading, I mean two weeks of humor I saved up, I mean you know two weeks of jokes, you know I like my humor, its all the right size.

Is Mitt worried?  Not at all.  Mitt had this to say.... People are still getting to know me, if I don't get the nomination this year I am confident by the year 2032 I will.  It just takes perseverance.

I have come up with many nicknames suitable for Romney.  The newest stems from all the super pac money he has. Mitts newest name is.... Pac-man.

People thought it was a dumb move to hold a speech for Romney inside such a huge stadium in Detroit that was mostly empty when he talked.  Romney's handlers knew exactly what they were doing, they wanted to make sure they had enough room for Mitt's ego.

Mitt said he was glad to be in Michigan where all the trees are the right size.  Someone told me that has to be code language.  Well I figured it out.  It's socialism talk.  One size fits all.  That's pretty bad when a GOP candidate talks about trees being the right size you would expect that from the Democratic or Green Party.

Newt said you can't mount a gun rack on a Chevy Volt and Obama said but you can mount a stun gun.

Obama recently was singing the blues in the East Room of the White House.  Its the first time he has connected with the voting public who have been singing the blues since he got elected.

 They keep talking about the bridge to no where, it seems like poor Newt is traveling on it because he is going no where.

Contraception was admitted to the recent transportation bill.  I guess they are trying to prevent accidents.

Mitt once again had to explain his flip flop this time about the Blunt Amendment.  He said...
I got confused when I said I was against when it I am actually for it.   I got confused because I thought the blunt amendment had to do with politicians being blunt, I mean I am all for being honest but not blunt, I mean do we need a blunt amendment, I mean its a good thing to be blunt but not all the time but then I found out it had to do with contraception and then I thought being blunt would be good having to be blunt and telling someone I want sex only, that's a good blunt, I mean I like the blunt amendment I really do, in fact I like amendments in Washington DC they are all the right size.

    Serious though folks I really honestly do feel Mitt would be good for this country.  Both parties would be happy.  The Dems can have him on the odd numbered days and the Repubs can have him on the even number.  There will be no more explaining his flip flops, everyone will be happy.

HEY which side of the bed does Mitt wake up on?    BOTH!!!

The Decision

Today we will find out whether Herman Cain decides to continue his run for the White House or pack it in. I am not a Cain fan because I do not think he is knowledgeable enough for the world stage, his past endorsement of Romney and today’s pr event of whether he will stay in but none the less I find it troubling with what is going on with our system. Politics have always been dirty but has America hit a new low?

In the 70's we had Nixon trying to get dirt on the Democrats with the Watergate break in. In the early 90's Ross Perot ended his bid for presidency when rumors surfaced that the Republican party planned on sabotaging Perot's daughters wedding. And now we have Cain.

The only candidate I know of that escaped infidelity charges was Slick Willy Clinton. In the 80's we had Gary Hart and he quickly became a casualty when it came to light of his cheating. And during the the 2008 election John Edwards sunk when it was revealed he got a woman pregnant. But with Cain this seems to be different. Herman's accusers do not seem the most credible but so much dirt has been thrown around and the waters have been so muddied that Cain could repeatedly say he is innocent but will we ever know the truth or trust him completely? It doesn't take a lot to character assassinate someone, doubt will always linger even if proven innocent.

Something really needs to be done with our campaigning and election process. NO one is perfect, most of us have a past and to some its a past we like to forget. But how far back into ones past do we have to go to see if a candidate qualifies to our standards? To me the time line is ten to fifteen years which I believe is sufficient to set a pattern of behavior. So the previous charges again Cain were a non factor as far as I am concerned but this supposed current affair has been going on thirteen years, that's worrisome.

It is unsettling because if we back the man and we find out these charges are true then the Republican party, the party of Value Voters, the Christian Conservative Right are no better than when the Democrats elected Clinton while the talk of his womanizing was going that continued right into the Oval Office. Do we really need this all over again?

On the other hand if we do not support Cain and then we find out that the charges were trumped up by the establishment, the insiders, the opposition, or by whomever then they won and damaged a mans reputation and maybe a person who would of done an admirable job as president and this could even discourage others in the future of running.

I myself will be watching Cain's decision. If he decides to end his campaign I will pay attention to whom he endorses. If he endorses someone such as Mitt Romney who is very soft on social issues and changed his position on so many others then I think I can draw a positive conclusion of what happened.

Lets all send a Christmas card to the Rinos

Some of our fine outstanding moral and social Conservatives, some calling themselves Christian Republicans have voted with the liberal homosexual hollywood and socialist/Deomocratic party.

Since they gave us a Christmas present lets send them a Christmas card saying thank you for making the deviant act of homosexual behavior part of our fighting forces. I am so happy that my nation will now be represented by queers.

So Thank you

Susan Collins (R-Maine)

Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)

Mark Kirk (R-Ill.)

Scott Brown (R-Mass.)

Olympia Snowe (R-Maine)

George Voinovich (R-Ohio)

Thank you for a job well done I feel safer now.
CKM

Is this what George Bush Sr. meant when he said a kinder gentler nation??

The proud men of the past who served this nation would vomit if they knew what is going on.

As Mike Huckabee said in his bid for the Republican presidential nominee:
"Let me be very clear - what people do in the privacy of their own lives as adults is their business," Huckabee said. "Don’t want to know; don’t need to know.

"If they bring it into the public square and ask me as a taxpayer to support it or to endorse it, then it becomes a matter of public discussion and, I think, public discourse."

From tax cuts to 2012

Well is everyone having fun watching the game of chess being played in Washington? If you haven't figured out what is going on let me give you my take.

In short, both sides are already campaigning for the 2012 election. Lets take a closer look at this.

Don't you find it a bit strange that the unemployment benefits that were extended ran out the same time the Bush tax cuts were about to end? Some timing huh?

I have to call the Republicans out first because quite frankly I am tired of the games while my country burns. Lets go back at least the last 4 or 5 elections, probably more. What was the battle cry? You have to elect Republicans to stop the homosexual agenda, we kept hearing about Christian/Conservative causes. Did they do anything while they held majority? Nope. Now it seems they got all the mileage they could out of that and its not that big of a battle cry anymore especially when former first lady Laura Bush says she is OK with same sex marriage.

The new carrot being dangled is tax cuts. You need to elect us to keep the tax cuts in place. They used this in the last election and will continue to use it. If not, why aren't the Repubs in power doing all they can to stall until the newly elected reserves will add to the GOP numbers and instead of a two year extension fight to make the tax cuts permanent? Am I missing something?

And on the other side we are now hearing Pres. Obama say we need to work together and compromise. Where was this talk while his socialist agenda was being pushed on us? Now we need to work together?

Furthermore, Obama promised change but he is using an old playbook, even had to call Bill Clinton in to steady his ship. He realized that he lost a major battle in the November elections. So Obama had to back track, surrender and in 2012 will come out as a moderate and say I extended the tax cuts and lengthened unemployment benefits. Brilliant. The dog and pony show the far left is putting on is just that. They need to keep their liberal/ socialist base happy by fanning the flames of class warfare - tax the rich, give to the poor!

They understand the game plan is almost the same one Slick used. Have the president look and act some what moderate but underneath keep the liberal plan in tact. What they will do is hinder, block and try to make life hell for the GOP. If they could make enough Repubs compromise and screw up, the Conservative Right voters will stay home and whamo we are back to square one and the Left will be back with a vengeance. Every time the Dems get in power its a slow tightening of the noose as more of our liberties are weakened or taken away.

So really nothing has changed maybe the new comers will be different but as of now both parties are up to the same old same old. Its all about winning elections and 2012 rather than doing what is right for this country.

Look at the Blue Dog Democrats that lost. Obama trys to spin it as they lost because they were too moderate and not following the liberal agenda. The truth is the Blue Dogs lost because the Democratic Party did not support their reelection. But hold on, the same scenario played out in the Republican Party. The GOP could of won a few more seats if they would of backed some of the Tea Party candidates as Christine O'Donnell. She didn't follow the establishment plan and they didn't back her.

Which brings us from tax cuts to the 2012 election and who the nominees for president will be. But I know you hate reading anything to long so you will have to wait until my next email.

A FOLLOW UP message from Terry - 61 years Young

Carey,

My quote of “vote the incumbents out.” was an extreme generalization for my friends.

After sitting with the gang (ALL BABY BOOMERS) and trying to talk Politics, it seemed much simpler (for THEM) to ask all to just “vote the incumbents out”.  IF I convinced them to even Vote at all next Tuesday.

Carey, you ARE correct in that we DO have a few Incumbents that deserve a second try.  It is just there are too many Politics As Usual heads on the entire Team in Washington that (in the words from the movie “Charley Wilson’s War”) …get to vote YES a lot!”  It seems in my view, the simpler of directions for my friends to be heard and help make the change.

I grew up a Democrat. UAW member, then with the Teamsters. Kennedy was Assassinated on my 14th Birthday.

I look at my children and see how they suffer today, but they try to keep a straight face. Their smiles are worn and few.

Disillusioned I voted for Perot. I now support the Republicans AND the T Party.

IF Newt Gingrich runs in 2012 HE is my man of choice.
Next Tuesday we need to set the stage for his arrival.
Thanks
TB

Seven Candidates - Young and Murphy

   I hear a lot of complaints about our leaders and elected officials. And I keep telling people NOT all are thieving liars. You need to attend the different functions, you need to meet the candidates face to face to find out. Here are a few that I endorse.

   It was hard to narrow it down of whom to endorse as I have met many fine qualified people. So this is my short list of seven candidates that I believe are honest, have integrity, still believe in America and that can make a difference. Most of these candidates have never held office before. I call this the year of the businessman/non-politician.

   3. Ron Young candidate State Rep. Eastern Lake County.
  There are as many reasons to vote for Ron Young as there are reasons not to vote for his opponent, current State Rep Mark Schneider. Plain and simple Mark Schneider is a Cuyahoga plant! How he ever was elected is beyond me. Prior to moving into Lake County and running for office he never even registered to vote. Plus there are rumblings going on that he may be implicated with the mess going on in Cuyahoga. We don't need this here in Lake.

About Ron Young.
Even though Ron held a seat as state rep he is a small business owner and has created jobs.

The Dems have tried to dishonestly paint Ron Young as a big government candidate. What a joke.

Ron Young was instrumental in getting me involved with local issues and politics. He held a rally back in about 2000 on the Painesville Court House steps protesting the proposal to charge a parking fee (admittance) to all Ohio parks. It is because of Ron Young and Senator Grendell we enjoy our parks here in Ohio freely.

Ron Young is very strong on property rights. He passed the“Young Amendment”, which was the largest permanent income tax reduction in Ohio history. And passed legislation that lowered the inheritance tax.

Ron Young previously was state representative of Eastern Lake County but was term limited out. We need to return Ron Young, especially now with so many of our freedoms being infringed upon.

4. Bob Murphy candidate Lake County Commissioner

Bob Murphy is part of the trend of candidates that are business owners and not career politicians. Bob has run a local business for 45 years. He has invested in his community.

Bob Murphy is running against current County Commissioner Dan Troy who has ties with Dimora and Russo. Enough said on that.

There are other differences Bob Murphy has with the long time incumbent Dan Troy.

Listing just three....
Bob is incensed over the million dollar dog motel (Lake County Dog Shelter) as he likes to call it. Bob Murphy is adamantly against regionalism, a socialist like plan for spreading the wealth and strongly against the Mexican Matricula. In simple terms the matricula is an ID card for illegals - how absurd!

Its important Bob Murphy gets elected as its a big step in making sure Cuyahoga County thinking stays out and Lake County remains Lake County.

   People tell me all the time but what can I do?
   Simple - Get Involved! With modern technology such as cell phones and the Internet its very easy to do so. Contact these candidates and ask for voter lists and make calls on their behalf, blast out emails in their support, post this message and others on different forums and blogs and donate.
  But the easiest thing you can do is simply tell a friend, vote for.....

  Even if you live in another state help us here in NE Ohio, we need it!
  We are at a serious crossroad my friends! Remember what Euclid did to me?

The day I held the meet n greet was a gift....

  Friends,
  How exciting! I told the Lake County GOP, at least a year ago, the key to this election is not what is going on in Washington as much as what is going on in our neighboring county Cuyahoga. They have run that county so far into the ground they are now discussing regionalism which is nothing more than the Socialist policy of spreading the wealth or in better terms spreading the debt and corruption.

  The day I held a meet and greet, Sept. 16, for Bob Murphy, candidate for county commissioner, was a real gift from the Cleveland Plain Dealer. I had no idea what was going to be run. Most of the paper was devoted to the corruption of Dimora and Russo and the rest of Cuyahoga. And what was in the middle pages? A photo of current County Commissioner Dan Troy with Dimora and Russo. How lovely.

  Read the invite I sent out for the meet and greet I held for Bob Murphy. Turn out was OK considering the day it was held there was a monsoon.

            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Friends and Neighbors,
  Thank you for coming today. It shows you are as concerned as I am with what is going on in our country, whether it's nationally or locally.
  I have been involved with many campaigns throughout the years, mostly state representatives, senators and presidential. A lot of people volunteer for those races as they are high profile and exciting. But there are other elected positions as important or more so than just those, with exception the presidential.
  What is the role of commissioner?
  The Board of Lake County Commissioners sets the administrative policy for county government. While the Commissioners have no power to initiate legislation, they do exercise powers granted to them by the Ohio General Assembly through state law.
 The Commissioners are responsible for the appropriations of the county tax revenues through the adoption of the annual county budget. The budget includes appropriations for the numerous county offices, including those offices headed by other elected officials. The Commissioners have the power to levy taxes and to approve the placement of tax levies and bond issues on the ballot for consideration by county voters. The Commissioners also administer all federal grant monies.
 The Commissioners hold title to all county owned property and are responsible for the upkeep. By law, they must provide office space for all county offices. They must build the facilities necessary to house various offices such as the Courtrooms, the Jail, Engineer's facilities and parking. The Commissioners award all contracts for purchase and construction projects. (taken from Lake County Ohio Commissioners Site)
  As you can see the role of commissioner is one of much importance. With all the corruption that is going on in Cuyahoga County, which I am positive will spill over into Lake County, it is imperative we elect morally and fiscally responsible officials. I believe Bob Murphy is such a person.
So what can you do?
The basics, which so many overlook.  Make phone calls, put up yard signs, and pass out flyer's.
But by far the most effective is simply telling a friend - VOTE FOR BOB MURPHY!
Together we can keep out Cuyahoga thinking and keep Lake County - Lake County!
Your Friend,
Carey Masci
Mafia Cleveland Style
Well Friends,
If you like Mafia movies, corruption, bribes, intimidations, high drama and wish you would of been around during the height of Cleveland's Mafia in the 20's and all the way up into the 70's, well you get your chance to experience it.
Even though the rat a tat tat of a tommy gun and the big black Lincolns and Cadilacs are missing, the rest of the story is pretty much the same.
I keep my ear to the ground and some of the things I heard, I can't write about here. The mob was never completely cleansed from America. And whats going on in Cleveland proves it. It just goes by a different name other than Mafia, they are now called Democrats. Mike Trivison, local talk radio host on WTAM, said, What is going on in Cleveland has set back the city at least 25 years!
If justice will prevail it will all come out and people will be behind bars for a long time. If not, these crooks will be out in no time, running for public office again and the people will vote them back in, just because they are Democrats and Cleveland is just about all Democratic. How absurd, but true.
Seven Candidates - Macko and Hocevar
   I hear a lot of complaints about our leaders and elected officials. And I keep telling people NOT all are thieving liars. You need to attend the different functions, you need to meet the candidates face to face to find out. Here are a few that I endorse.
    It was hard to narrow it down of whom to endorse as I have met many fine qualified people. So this is my short list of seven candidates that I believe are honest, have integrity, still believe in America and that can make a difference. Most of these candidates have never held office before. I call this the year of the businessman/non-politician.
1. Dave Macko candidate for State Rep of the 17Th (Bentleyville, Brecksville, Broadview Hts., Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls Township, Glenwillow, Hunting Valley, Indepenence, Lyndhurst, Mayfield, Moreland Hills, Oakwood, Pepper Pike, Seven Hills, Solon, Valey View, Walton Hills)
  Dave Macko is the only non-Republican on my list. I always said party doesn't matter as much as the invidual. But I usually vote and endorse Republicans because of their core beliefs. I have never been able to for any Democrat as their philosophy is so un-American and immoral its impossible to do so.
   About Dave Macko, I may not agree with him on everything but on the things that I do, I strongly agree with him. I like to call Dave Macko "The Wrecking Ball". That's how I see his approach to our government. Dave wants to dismantle every unconstitutional law and department and just do away with it. He is pro-life and goes against the Libertarian platform of pro-choice. Dave is also highly in favor of the right to keep and bear arms. Its unfortunate and wrong that Dave Macko didn't receive the endorsement from either the pro-life or pro-gun groups. The memberships of clubs, associations and organizations that Dave belongs to is way to lengthy to list. Its impressive.
   Dave Macko is probably the most misunderstood candidate. The biggest reason is, Dave doesn't have very good bedside manners. If he were a doctor I could see him going into a patients room and saying Go home now and get things in order, you will be dead in a week, goodbye. And that's Dave's approach towards where America is at. He doesn't have time to play games and say things you want to hear, he comes at you with the truth. America is on life support - period.
  Dave Macko promises:
 "I will never vote to increase taxes or fees or to impose new taxes or fees or to diminish the liberties of any innocent person. I will always keep my oath to defend the Constitutions for the United States and Ohio. I will always strive to do what is best for my constituents and the people of Ohio."
   I believe Dave will do what he says, he is firm in his beliefs and disciplined enough not to compromise his values. If you really want to send a message, shake things up, and restore individual freedom vote - Macko.
                       http://www.mackoforliberty.com/
  2. Tony Hocevar candidate State Rep of the 7Th (Euclid, Cleveland's Collinwood area, Richmond Heights and South Euclid)
   I always look for honesty and passion in an individual, Tony Hocevar has both. When I first met Tony over dinner and told him some of my concerns, he told me straight out, Carey I don't think I can help you, I may not be the man for you. That was a breath of fresh air. So many times politicians promise everything that you know its impossible or just a flat out lie to get your vote. Not with Tony, he knows he weaknesses and his strengths.
   Tony Hocevar recently received an endorsement from the Association of Builders and Contractors of Ohio (ABC of Ohio) which says a lot because his opponent in the race is incumbent Ken Yuko who comes from an organizing role background with a local labor union.
   Tony Hocevar stated, “I am extremely honored and humbled by the confidence ABC has shown in my abilities to support the mission of Ohio’s workers and contractors. I have worked in the construction industry for the great majority of my life. I understand the struggles and challenges workers and owners face day to day. I will continue promoting the principles of open competition, free enterprise, lower taxes, worker’s rights and responsible government regulation. Together, we will restore an environment of job growth in Ohio, helping our families and communities prosper. Thank you ABC of Ohio!”
“We must divest ourselves of the status quos in county and state politics and elect fresh faces who realistically work for and understand the grassroots attitude of our communities. Who knows the breadth of Cuyahoga County’s corruption web? Let’s remove every last vestige of deceit in the state! I will be fair and honest in my role as the next State Representative for eastern Cuyahoga County, not hiding myself among the politicians, lobbyists and lawyers.”
  I never take notes, I write strictly from memory and I will never forget Tony's speech at the Euclid Tea Party.  He just made you feel proud and hopeful for the future. This is one quote:
  "People want to come to America not because what it was, not because what it is, but because what it can be."
  And that's why he is running for state representative, he has a vision for the future.
From Carey's archives - Tuesday, October 28, 2008
When I initially wrote Carey's top ten reasons why Obama would make a good president back in 2008 before the election, the GOP Boys in Washington were not to pleased with it being on the Lake GOP site before the McCain rally held in Mentor so they removed it. (I think that was a run on sentence?)
Some were especially unhappy about reason Number 8 The NBA championship series will be declared a holiday. But how far off was I? I don't think to terribly off.
If you are into sports and especially NCAA basketball you know they have asked Obama his choice for the brackets the last two years. Now I don't ever remember any president being asked about choosing the winners for basketball before, is it because he is black? Throwing out the first pitch at a ball game, of course, that's very American and ALL presidents do that. Same with picking the winner of the Super Bowl. Basketball though?
But wait it gets better. I went to the store and what did I see? Well look at the photo I enclosed. I guess in a way I have been vindicated.
OH beyond the basketball look at the list and see how far off or right on I was, remember this was before he got elected.
Anybody care to borrow my crystal ball?
When I write I like to use many different ways to make a point, sometimes I am ultra serious, other times just very silly and humorous. So you need to look beyond my humor in this top ten list to reveal the sad truths and shortcomings of Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joe Biden. What's more amazing is I didn't have to dig to deep to come up with this list, I listened very closely and used their own rhetoric and their own gaffs.
Carey's top ten reasons why Obama would make a good president
10. He is gifted at community service
9. He is pro-choice which means fewer Democrats in the future
8. The NBA championship series will be declared a holiday
7. We will be healthier from riding our bikes as Obama won't drill for oil
6. All of us will feel more patriotic when we have to pay more in taxes
5. He will add 7 more states to make his statement of being in 57 states true
4. Obama will make more people want to cling to guns and religion
3. We will have daily gaffs from Vice President Biden to laugh at and make us forget how miserable we are
2. Lazy people won't have to work as Obama will spread the wealth.
And the number one reason why Obama would make a good president is....
He will hand out tire gauges to make sure our tires are properly inflated!
Democratic strategy for the stretch run.
Friends,
Here is the Democratic strategy for the stretch run. If you have been following my writings then you have heard some of this before. I truly believe they will be using these.
Number one on the list will be the BLAME GAME!
...using sports as an analogy. In sports there is a strategy to run the same play over and over until the opposing team stops it. The Democrats are using this exact strategy. They are getting a lot of mileage out of blaming President Bush. In late July Obama gave a speech saying this very thing. Until Republicans counter it OR the public says enough, the Dems will continue on and slyly slip it in where ever they can.
How else have they used Blame Bush? They are using it to take our minds off the fact they will be raising taxes and instead keep repeating the Bush Tax cuts are costing the US billions.
Bush tax cuts are not costing the US billions, the Dems spending is. The Repubs have to remind everyone that when the Dems were put in power in 2006 is when the great economic slide started.
Number two: The Dems have an interesting way of garnering support and votes. They use a laser and target specific groups. It doesn't matter that they contradict themselves as long as they say the right things to the group they are addressing. One of their target groups is Hispanics. And whether its good for America or not they will stand up for illegals. If the Dems can get amnesty for the illegals and get them registered they will vote Democratic. But even if the Dems fail with their amnesty plan they will still have the Hispanic support for trying. Hispanics alone won't win the election but that is an important block to keep.
Number three: Time. The Dems can't run on job creation. They can't run on health-care as most Americans have turned against it. They can't run on success in Iraq, the surge was responsible. There is not much they can run on other then - TIME. They will be making the pitch - please don't give up on us now, Bush had 8 years, our plans need time to work and they will. The Repubs need to counter with, the Dems have had control of Congress since 2006 with two of those years with a Democratic president at the helm, we do not have the luxury of giving Dems any more time, America is on life support, we can not take a chance and waste any more time.
Lastly this is not as much as a strategy as an observation, (unless there is market manipulation going on), fluctuations in oil prices that could send gas prices spiraling downward. This plays heavily into the favor of Dems. Our economy thrives on cheap oil. If oil stays cheap till the election and things start to improve people will forget, as they always do, of how bad things were and think well the economy is starting to rebound. The Repubs must counter that this is only short term because Obama won't allow drilling that will not only raise oil prices once again but also will cost THOUSANDS of jobs.
Don't be surprised when you hear these.
The seriousness of illegal aliens
Friends,
Listen to this interview from 2007 with Congressman Steve King of Iowa. It concerns illegal aliens.
Presidents on both sides, Republicans and Democrats, have failed the American people with their lack of concern over illegals OR maybe its their agenda to allow illegals entry to make a North American Union and rid US and Canada of borders and their sovereignty.
Please listen to this in full.
Your Words
Hey Gang,
This is a gathering of some the latest responses I had of emails I sent out. Thanks as always for your input and feedback!
More info on the federal mutual fund
This is being pushed by the unions because most union pension plans are under water.
If the unions can manage to get the Feds to raid 401ks and the like and redistribute them, then they can get out of their underfunded pension programs. Most rank and file pension programs are less than 80% funded, which means they are in trouble!
Tiberi is a co-author of the bill.
http://www.realclearmarkets.com/articles/2010/04/08/decrying_the_union_pension_bailout_bill_98411.html
Basically, if the unions get their way, they are setting up the path for the federal mutual fund raid. Pam M.
Mike P's. solution:
Carey: We hear government bemoan every other day that they (local, state, and federal) don't have any money. Several elected officials have told be that just about any government budget is somewhere between 80% - 85% salary, benefits, and pension. I have and idea!
Make some BIG cuts to the salary, benefits and pension of local, state and federal employees. Enough is enough!
Let's stop funding non-essential functions of government.
Cut recreation departments! Close parks! Close libraries! Privatize schools!
Contract out snow plowing, cutting of grass, and most functions of service departments.
Just a few thoughts.
A response from a democrat
Maybe its not needed as most of you know me quite well but I want to add that the reason I sent that email out "response from a democrat" was not to make fun of, show how ignorant, or to make myself look smarter BUT to show what we are up against. How do we educate these people? This is what the liberal anti-God agenda has made.
Slovak Mom says....
Their grammar and spelling are just as stupid as they are....this is a reflection of the idiocy of the electorate...Is it any wonder that "Barry" was elected? ....This is my greatest fear...."an uninformed, and stupid electorate"....I have similar friends and I would like to just "smack them across the head and tell them to wake up....Rome is burning"!
Brilliant insight from John in Maine
Hi Carey, You reach these people by VOTING their leaders that have the same mentality OUT OF OFFICE!!! Guess your friend doesn't know American history, & with blind eyes, no reason to explain it to him/her.
An explanation on the latest election
Primaries attract the most dedicated people and the higher tax advocates. It would be better to have tax levies only at general elections.
ANOTHER TAX
ANOTHER TAX, ANOTHER TAX SPEARHEADED BY ANOTHER DEMOCRAT.
AND YET PEOPLE KEEPING VOTING FOR THEM.
BY DOROTHY PELLETT, FREE PRESS CORRESPONDENT
Taxing, banning, reusing or simply cutting down on their use — all are solutions up for debate as Vermont environmentalists search for the best solution, and the Legislature is poised to consider bag-tax measures in the upcoming session.
A bill before the House Ways and Means Committee would charge consumers 17 cents for each lightweight plastic bag they take home. State Rep. Johannah Leddy Donovan, D-Burlington, was the lead sponsor among 19 legislators on the bill, which was introduced last session.
“The 17-cent amount seemed significant enough to catch the attention of shoppers,” she said this month. “If we are going to change behavior, we must have a tax that is going to be meaningful.”
A tax that is meaningful? How about a stupid tax for every dumb idea our legislators come up with their tax rate goes up. That should discourage their communist thinking.
Say Goodnight America
Say Goodnight America its all over except the crying. The march to push socialism into full effect is on. Individual freedoms have taken another blow.
from: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090609/ap_on_go_co/us_health_overhaul
WASHINGTON – Senior House Democrats drafting health care legislation are considering slapping an unspecified financial penalty on anyone who refuses to purchase affordable health insurance, a key committee chairman said Monday.
In addition, officials said Democrats are considering a new tax on certain health insurance benefits as one of numerous options to help pay for expanding coverage to the uninsured. No details on the tax were immediately available, and no final decisions were expected until next week at the earliest.
Alongside those efforts, financing Obama's plan to spread coverage more widely carries a price tag estimated at higher than $1 trillion over a decade.
Secretary of State Hillary (rotten) Clinton, who was a New York senator at the time as well as a presidential candidate, said a mandate was essential. At one point, she said she was open to garnisheeing the wages of anyone who refused to comply.
They come for our guns, they come for our religious freedoms, they come to kill the unborn, they come to dictate how we run our property, they come to make us accept unnatural acts, why not force and tax us for health insurance. Its all over America.. You wanted a democratic fascist regime you got it - OBAMA!!
CKM
ps: How ironic that on Monday the owner of an account I maintain approached me and said they are now offering health insurance for individuals and businesses. I will wait a day and send out info on the company offering it.
This was in response to a news letter someone sent me from Pat Buchanan.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes Pat has many valid good points and is correct on all but he misses on a couple of very important issues. The GOP is fragmented, has alienated its base, walked away from their core beliefs, and has not united like the Democratic party has. The GOP has been shot down by its own friendly fire, a slanted media and outplayed and outsmarted by the Dems.
The Dems have held on to their core beliefs and never wavered. What are they? Homosexual rights, abortion, and Big Daddy government will take care of you. Over and over they pounded, we can't have any prejudism, anti-homo is as bad as what the African-American went through, and we can't hinder women from making an educated decision its her choice and you need us - we will fix everything so if you get taxed we will provide. Three key issues that are always a part of the Dem philosophy.
How did the GOP counter this? They didn't - they wavered. How in the HELL was groups such as the Log Cabin Republicans allowed to hoist the banner of the GOP. How did we allow a cross dresser and MC of Gay Pride events named Rudy to run? How did we allow another pro-choice and also in favor of homo rights named Mitt to run? Tell me where the Reagan attitude of you can do it? The best we did was a stimulus check instead of fighting to roll back regulations and try to weaken the EPA so businesses can flourish. Did the GOP make the case against counties and cities like Cuyahoga and Cleveland who are run by Dems and the mess they created with property tax, unemployment and crime? Did we send back the illegals and strengthen our boarders? Did we pound at every opportunity the case of the Islam/Muslim threat? There was no fight, there was no strategy.
Another thing is the white country club mentality of the GOP. I predicted this a few years back. You mean to tell me the Repubs couldn't tell the climate of what the trends were pointing to? The time was right for an African American to be elected. Did we hoist on our shoulders and roll out the red carpet for people like JC Watts, Lynn Swann, Condi Rice, Ken Blackwell or Allen Keyes to name a few fine African American Republicans. NOPE! The Dems started grooming Obama almost as soon as he was elected into the Senate maybe even before. Or even if we stayed with the white man why didn't we listen to the groundswell of the coffee shops and colleges where Ron Paul was gaining flocks. He may of sounded nuts but he was right when he kept saying America is BROKE! Or if not a black or a Ron Paul then a person with solid morals, convictions and plans, Mike Huckabee. NOPE! Instead the best the Republican establishment could do was circle around McCain as heir apparent as they did with Dole. I also predicted this back in 2006 and again in 2007 that the GOP would push Mc to the front. Is this the best that we can do? We deserve to lose.
Yes Pat is right but all is not lost if we would once again regain our core, have a spine to stand up for what is right and instal a litmus test to join the GOP. A Conservative litmus test. The Dems have it and so should we. And if we return to our Conservative foundation we could win everything back and if not at the least we could rebuild the party into a party of true American values and one of individual freedom. If not, not only is the GOP finished so is America.
I would rather be a minority party with solid beliefs then a majority party with no principles.

Tidbits

Friends,
I accumulated these over the past few months. Short bits of information you need to know, at least I think you should know.

Where's the shortage?
What did I tell you? So where is this shortage of oil? Has suddenly the world found a glut? C'mon - if there was a real shortage why are we paying lower now? Shortages don't go away. And if our beloved Democratic congress was smart and had our best interest in mind they would IMMEDIATELY remove any and all regulations and restrictions and DRILL! This would break the backs of speculators and OPEC and tell them we don't need your oil. As for the American people... we have seen this before so don't get to complacent and start wasting fuel. Think smart, drive smart and conserve because tomorrow the gas could go back up to 4 bucks, listen to me please.

poop on sign
Everyone knows I was not a big McCain fan BUT look at the alternative. So to combat the Obama's signs everywhere in Euclid I put a McCain/Palin up. It was immediately stolen. I found it down the street in shreds. I patched it and put up it back up in the bushes in my front yard. I also went and got a new sign. But I was so mad and disappointed when the new sign wasn't taken. Why? Because I went to my neighbors yard and rubbed it in dog poop. I thought that will show those socialist wackos what America will smell like when Obama is done. After the election I did have my moment of happiness and revenge as the sign was taken. Wish I could of seen their faces. What stinks - its not me - it is you - hey its my hands.....

The American People have been duped
Once again the well informed voters of America have been duped. How so this time? By Obama and his campaign of change. What change? The people he wants to select for his cabinet and his backers are all old Democratic retreads. Hillary, Biden, Franks.... Is that change?? Same old - same old. Honestly, what change do you think will happen with that bunch of drunks, queers and criminals?

Is the GOP the Grand New Party
Is the GOP dead? As I mentioned above the party that brought us Jesse Jackson - the Kennedy's - the Clinton's is still alive and well - unfortunately. But has the guard changed at the GOP? Stevens from Alaska is done, lets hope we have seen the last of the Bushes, Cheney and McCain (even though McCain did make some amends by giving us Palin). There is still Arlene Specter, Benedict Arnold in Cali. and a few others floating around. BUT if America can weather this moral and financial tsunami about to hit I like the prospect of America's future with Huckabee, Palin, and the thinking of the Ron Paul movement. Its not so bleak. The Republican Party I hope has learned its lesson. We need to wrestle this party back to its roots.

Another Fable of the Democratic Party
The Democratic Party, we are always told, is for the working man. Is it really? What creates jobs? Stopping illegal immigration, lowering taxes, lowering minimum wage, and weakened unions. Instead everything that I just wrote the Dems are for the opposite. How can they turn this economy around with that kind of thinking? In fact if those things were done that I mention, NAFTA and some of the other trade deals would have little affect as jobs would stay home. (DO NOT READ INTO THIS THAT I AM FOR THE TRADE DEALS) In fact we may not even need bailouts.

Another fine Democratic Plan
Through the years I kept repeating over and over and over we need to lower minimum wage to create jobs. But the voting public were duped, yes again, in the 2006 election when the Dems ran on raising the minimum wage, let me reword it, they ran on class warfare, and people flocked and voted them in. It took a while but all it did was bankrupt businesses and raise everything, including the once cheap fast food places which are now almost at sit down restaurant prices. Need more proof of how bad raising minimum wage has been? Here is only one example: John Bausone had been struggling to keep two stores open (Arabica), one at 818 E. 185th St., the other at 26598 Lake Shore Blvd. First, the increase in minimum wage 16 months ago hit the business hard. I also wrote awhile back that another thing it would do is devalue the dollar even further. And what are we seeing now? But you still don't believe me and will still think of the Democratic Party good for
the common man.

I was right I was wrong
A few sentences from an article I wrote in Sept. 26, 2006.
*....Jumping ahead but have to add this, is the time right for an African-American as president? YES, it just won't be coming from the left side.....* At least I was partially right. Now if I can only guess the numbers for the lottery.

Sour on Bush
Ahhh, you had enough for one posting, I will finish this one and include more in part 2.
C' Ya!!

Carey joins the USSDA

Hey Gang,
Usually at election time I'm spending countless hours on the campaign trail for someone. But this year I am just so discouraged by not only what is happening in my personal life with Euclid, work etc... but also the general direction of Socialism that America is falling into. The last 7 years or so, is not the America I know or grew up in. Its disheartening to say the least. So I decided to join the Obama camp.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
United Socialist States of a Democratic America
Self reliance and self responsibility stand in the way of a government that wants to embolden communities across America to a uniform set of laws and regulations. The new direction for America where individual freedom gives way to universal freedom for all. One class - one standard - one religion - one people - new hope for all. When people work for the government, government works and society benefits. Paying taxes is patriotic, spreading the wealth is noble. Join the globalization movement, join the United Socialist States of a Democratic America. Lets move America forward and take her place amongst other nations where borders no longer exist and the people speak as one.
I am Barack Obama and I approve of this message.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sounds great huh? Until "Big Government" tells you your religion is not state sponsored so you can't practice it. Or they eliminate your guns. Mandate abortions after 2 children. Euthanize the elderly or mentally challenged. Dictate what job you will work at. Don't believe me? Then you don't know history or world affairs my friend.

Makes you want to vote Democratic. Well doesn't it?
