Friends,
An update on the Muslim uprising in the Philippines, it is
an official statement from the City mayor of Zamboanga, read it and take
note on the amount of weapons the enemy had. Amazing that in a country
where guns are outlawed they were able to amass such an arsenal. This
is a perfect example of how gun control works.
Below that statement
is a link about…. women snipers? YES women snipers. In most Muslim
countries women can't vote, drive a car and most are covered head to toe
but these Muslim women can sure handle a gun. It sure brings new
meaning to the phrase we have you covered at least for woman in Muslim
countries.
I guess some things are universal. Filipinos were joking
about how could the policemen who most are fat and older chase the
younger MNLF? In the US it’s from too many donuts, over there may be
too much rice.
Please read this and pass it on.
Rebellion charges filed vs Misuari, 60 others
October 9, 2013 at 10:35pm
Nur
Misuari and 60 others have been formally charged with
rebellion/insurrection and violations of the international humanitarian
law in connection with the three-week long standoff in the city which
started on September 9.
The Department of Justice, through
Assistant City Prosecutors Gladdy S. Bernabe, Norma U. Usman, Alfredo E.
Jimenez Jr., Associate Prosecution Attorney Nicolas L. Apolinario Jr.
and City Procesutor Ricardo G. Cabaron, filed the charges before the
Zamboanga Regional Trial Court last Monday, October 7.
In the
three separate information filed in court, Misuari and his men are
accused of rebellion for “conspiring and confederating together,
mutually aiding and assisting with one another and also with others
whose whereabouts and identities are still unknown, did then and there
willfully, unlawfully and feloniously, help, support, promote, maintain,
cause, direct, and/or command the said group to rise publicly and take
arms against the Republic of the Philippines, or otherwise participate
in such armed public uprising, by then and there attempting to hoist the
MNLF flag in front of the Zamboanga City Hall to signify their
declaration of independence from and for the purpose of removing from
the allegiance to the Philippine government or its laws, part of its
national territory the City of Zamboanga, specifically the barangays of
Mariki, Rio Hondo, Sta. Barbara, Sta. Catalina, Kasanyangan, Talon-Talon
and Mampang”.
“The MNLF Misuari faction, consisting of more or
less 500 members under the leadership and command of its Chairman
NURULAJI P. MISUARI a.k.a. “NUR MISUARI” and under the ground command
leadership of accused USTADZ HABIER MALIK, BAS ARKI, ASSAMIN HUSSIN, and
several other commanders coming from their respective strongholds in
the provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Sibugay, the City of Zamboanga and
other parts of the Zamboanga Peninsula…have in fact risen publicly and
taken arms to attain the said purpose by then and there making attacks
against the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the
Philippines as well as innocent civilians, as a necessary means to
commit the crime of rebellion; and in connection therewith and in
furtherance thereof, have then and there committed acts of murder,
pillage, disorder, looting, arson and destruction of private and public
properties.”
The accused were “all armed with high caliber
weapons including but not limited to: 90-RR (recoilless rifle), 57-RR
(recoilless rifle), .50 Barrette MG, M-16 rifles, M-47 rifles, M-4
rifles Ghalil (G-1) rifles, Carbine rifles, Garand rifles, .45 caliber
pistols, 60 MM mortar, hand grenades (fragmentary and incendiary),
rocket propelled grenade, M-79 explosives, M203 grenade launchers
explosives”, the MNLF Misuari faction “committed serious violations of
the Common Article 3 to the Four (4) Geneva Conventions of 12 August
1949, (1) by committing acts of violence against the lives and persons
of the residents, mainly of the afore-stated barangays, and in some
instances of other barangays, and who did not take active part in the
armed hostilities, and (2) by taking non-combatant civilians as
hostages, in particular, by rounding up more or less 300 persons, who
were then held together as hostages and detained randomly in buildings
and houses which are
also located in barangays”.
The
information continues: “while the above-named accused were engaged in
armed combat with the government forces, and during the captivity of the
non-combatant civilians as hostages covering the period beginning from
September 9 to 30, 2013, the same resulted in more or less twelve (12)
total number of deaths and more or less seventy five (75) total number
of serious injuries to innocent civilians”.
The MNLF founding
chairman and his co-accused have “committed serious violations of the
laws and customes applicable in armed conflict, within the established
framework of international law namely: Intentionally directing attacks
against the civilian population as such or against individual civilians
not taking direct part in the hostilities, that is, by forcibly opening
houses and other dwellings and attacking the occupants thereof; and, at
the same time, by taking about three hundred (300) occupants as
hostages”. The same group also “further utilized their presence to
render certain points and areas immune from military operations, that
is, and more particularly by employing the same as human shields at the
forefronts of Lustre Drive, Sta. Barbara and Martha Drive, Sta.
Catalina, this City, thereby effectively thwarting any offensive and
counter-offensive actions from the AFP-PNP Forces” and “in attacking
dwellings or buildings which are
undefended and which are not
military objectives deliberately burned said structures which resulted
in a conflagration of more or less Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty
Two (9,732) houses and buildings, public and private, causing damage in
an estimated costs of Two Hundred One Million Twenty Three Thousand
Pesos (P201,023,000.00)”.
Chairman Misuari, commanders Malik, Hussin and Arki as well as several John and Jane Does continue to be at-large.
The
justice department did not recommend bail for offenses under RA 9851 as
well as for the leaders in the rebellion/insurrection while a bail
amounting to P200,000.00 was recommended for each member/follower of the
rebellion/insurrection. (Claudine Uniana/City Hall PIO)

Philippines Update
Friends,
Thought you may like a Philippines update. I also wanted to comment further with what I
have learned during this conflict.
The update is this….
It has quieted down; the government said the conflict is over though but
they will continue to pursue pockets of resistance and where the MNLF are still
hiding.
Some Filipinos are wary that the
government is not telling the truth because there is still random gunfire and
burnings going on.
My opinion is it could flare up
again if there is an influx of either weapons and or other support from outside
sources. This could be a long drawn out
wait and see situation.
What I have learned…..
The Philippine government is very much like the US and like
the US it is fraught with corruption and abuses of power. The difference is they are a third world
country where the majority of people are lacking so the abuses are glaringly
more obvious and met with more angst and distrust. In the US we are still doing relatively OK so
some of this corruption and drain of financial resources is not yet fully felt. People in America for the most part blow it
off and say they all do it. When
America’s financial stability really gets shaken maybe people will then be up
in arms.
Similarity 2.
Filipinos are now thinking this was staged by the government to take the
peoples mind off the ongoing scandal of misused funds and kickbacks from pork
barrel spending. On the other hand they
also condemn the Muslims for doing this.
Sound familar?????
It can’t be both
Muslims and the government doing these deeds unless they are working in
tandem. Or is the government blaming the
Muslims to bring about a globalist agenda?
Careful here, because we do know the unrest Muslims cause in the name of
religion which has been the case for centuries.
From a pro-Muslim website: BASILAN
is one the poorest province in the region not because we lack funds. But
because, we have swines who eats people's funds to make themselves fat and
filthy rich.
According to the Filipinos I spoke with the areas that
Muslims moved in have become filthy and dangerous whereas before those areas
were clean and safe. But we do know what
can happen with corruption and how it drains resources, look at Cleveland. Simply, it may be both reasons.
Lesson 3. Over here we call the media the Lame Stream
Media, we don’t trust what they report. Well
the same thing over there - FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE CONFLICT. People are leery of what is being told to them if it is the truth.
My good friend Dave Macko writes: I have
read that during the Moro Insurrection, immediately after the Spanish American
War, US Army officers decided to use a psychological warfare technique of
greasing all ammunition with pig fat. This is supposed to have caused the
Muslims to believe that they would not go to paradise if they died in battle
and ended the insurrection. Is this true? If so, why don't the Christians use
the same technique again?
Some Filipino humor in the midst of this terrible
situation. My Filipina friend Eunice
said they should send all the pork (pork barrel spending) to the Muslims
instead of giving it to the government.

DAY 13 OF ZAMBOANGA STANDOFF
DAY 13 OF ZAMBOANGA STANDOFF
No one could ever imagine that the crisis in Zamboanga reaches its 13th
day since it all started in September 9. It is well noted that the
delay to end the war is because of a calibrated military operation as
opposed to an all-out offensive to save the remaining hostages which are
held as captives and used as shield by the MNLF.
Clearing
operation has continued and gunfire still heard coming from Barangay
Sta. Catalina where MNLF Com. Habier Malik and his companions with their
hostages believed are hiding seeking refuge. There is no timetable to
end the crisis in Zamboanga but residents are rest-assured that the
government continues to "push forward" to "constrain" the movement of
the Misuari-linked forces there.
Meanwhile, while there is an
exchange of gunfire (machineguns and mortars) between military and MNLF
that started about 6 AM, again another fire incident takes place at
Barangay Sta Catalina. (AT PRESENT)
WORDS TO PONDER:
I believe that the most haunting question each of us would like to
raise has something to do with the continuing standoff in Zamboanga
City. Why God allow these things to happen?
War, so costly. War, so
awful. The dying, the maiming. Those who aren’t scarred physically are
likely to be scarred emotionally.
Just remember that we have a
loving God. Scripture overflows with this essential truth:“He loves
whatever is just and good, and his unfailing love fills the earth.”
(Psalm 33:5)“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: ‘Yes, I have
loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have
drawn you.’” (Jeremiah 31:3)
Why does God let war happen?
God
has given us the freedom to choose whether we will do right or wrong. He
has given everyone that freedom because we are not made robots. When
people have freedom to choose, sometimes they make bad choices and that
creates wars. The Bible tells us that wars and fighting happen because
of the way people are inside. When people have greed and selfishness in
their hearts, they start a fight in order to get what isn’t theirs. God
doesn't like war, but he lets it happen because he has given us freedom
to choose for ourselves – even if our choice is to go to war.
But, remember this catastrophes that we are suffering will never prosper.
Psalm 144:1-2
Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my
fingers for battle; My lovingkindness and my fortress, My stronghold and
my deliverer; My shield and He in whom I take refuge; Who subdues my
people under me.LET’S RAISE GOD’S BANNER OF SALVATION, OURS IS THE
VICTORY

Teacher continues to report: Day 11 & STATEMENT OF MAYOR BENG CLIMACO
The teacher continues to report:
Day
11 of Zamboanga standoff: will this be the end chapter of the crisis? I
found myself again awakened at 3:15 am as i used to be since Zamboanga
siege happened. It was noted that during the past couple of days, since
the uprising started, exchange of gunfire between MNLF and the military
launched every morning. Yet, in this 11th day of standoff, the whole
night was found still and quiet and tranquility swathed the city. PRAISE
GOD FOR THE RESTORATION OF PEACE!
For the latest news, it was
known earlier that government troops have captured a battle-scarred
MNLF stronghold in the City, believed to be the base from where MNLF
commander Habier Malik was holed up. The military took control of KGK
Building along R. Lustre Street, but the shot-up building was empty,
with not even bodies of slain or wounded MNLF fighters found. Government
forces have retaken as much as 80 percent of MNLF-controlled areas in
the city, a PNP spokesman said, as the standoff
there entered its 10th day. A rebel who tried to escape Wednesday
morning was killed in a brief firefight, bringing the total number to
122 rebels killed. Twenty six have been captured and 25 have
surrendered. On the government side, the fatalities remained at nine
while 81 were wounded.
Until now classes in all levels are
still closed, but it was announced that malls and other stores will open
today, flights resume, banks operates and markets will have its normal
activity.
CHRISTIANS, LET US CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CLEARING OPERATION OF THE MILITARY IN THE CITY!
Prayer Requests:
1. Health of about more than 100,000 evacuees who are now in the evacuation centers.
2. MNLF ground commander Habier Malik will be captured as soon as possible.
3. Shelter of those thousand of families whose houses were burned during the siege.
4. The restoration of some hostages that have not been released
5. Comfort for all the family victims of standoff.
JEREMIAH 30:17 "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD...."
2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble
themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal
their land.
This is God's promise! Let's claim it for Zamboanga City! Amen....

STATEMENT OF MAYOR BENG CLIMACO (September 18, 2013)
September 18, 2013 at 7:56am
In the course of all the events that transpired yesterday, our
strength as a people has been tested. On the 10th day of the crisis,
there are a lot of questions that yearn for answers. I would like to be
clarified and the people of Zamboanga City of how the unfolding of these
events and the clamour for justice be reconciled in the midst of a
peaceful resolution to this problem.
cautivo.
I stand strong that as Mayor of this city, I want
a long-term solution for this problem. I cannot allow the repeat of any
of this nor the repeat of the 2001 Cabatangan experience. Our people
have been wounded, our lives forever changed and our city’s dignity
marred. I stand firm with the President Noy’s pronouncements that
charges shall be filed and justice will be gained for those whose lives
were wasted in this atrocity. Let the perpetrators go to jail and never
be allowed to come back to our city. I appeal to the city officials and I
appeal to national officials present here with us, you have seen the
pains of our people and you have seen the damage this has caused and you
are here thank you for helping us. It is with this hope that you defend
the cause of Justice for Zamboanguenos, because we are counting on
you.
The clearing operations are still ongoing in the
areas of concern. We continue to advise those who are living in Sta.
Catalina, Sta. Barbara, Kasanyangan, Rio Hondo, Talon-Talon, Mampang and
Arena Blanco and other areas of concern not to return to their homes
yet or to seek safer grounds to allow the troops to carry out their
tasks in these areas.
There are more establishments
opening up today, the CAAP has announced the resumption of flights
tomorrow and more economic activities are being done beyond the
conflicted areas. Our city may not right away get back to normalcy, but
we are trying to make steps to begin the work for people to get back to
our toes.
Sec. Enrique Ona came to personally verify the
Health needs of the City and will open more operating facilities in our
City and make our emergency rooms functional in WMSU and the Sanitarium
more responsive to patients. These goes to all other evacuation centers.
A
team of Volunteers and mental health professionals provide debriefing
to our hostages. Social Workers giving Therapy and teachers Counselling
in Evacuation Centers. The DSWD under Sec. Soliman is helping us with
the rehabilitation plans. Her instruction is to build back better, akel
cosa antes sila tiene maga casa ay hace mas bueno pa. Today we began a
program at the MCIC to help informal sector gain daily subsistence
through the parishes and the brgy with the help of Tzu Chi and other
NGOs.
In this connection, we shall continue to heighten
security in the city and thus we shall request for everyone’s
cooperation. We have to learn the lessons of this crisis. Today until
Friday, the suspension of classes still stands for both public and
private schools and the curfew hours from 8PM-5AM remains the same. For
city hall employees, only offices providing frontline services are
required to report. However, for those in the national and regional
government offices outside the critical areas, we call upon your
respective regional directors to set your discretionary judgment to
resume operations in your respective offices. For the private
establishments and companies, we allow your officers’ discretionary
judgment in their call for the resumption of work. Again, we emphasize
that these calls to open is only for those areas outside the critical
areas and thus we give the heads of agencies and owners the discretion
to operate.
Our vigilance continues and I ask the help of our
barangay officials that we should heighten our security measures in our
respective barangays to identify our residents and report those who are
suspicious in our areas. We have received reports on civilians
coordinating with authorities when confronted with suspicious looking
individuals— that is the kind of cooperation we would like to get from
our people.
Republica 7160.
I have visited evacuation centers and
talked to some children. I asked them in Tausug, Maita Kamo Yari? Porque
ustedes taqui? Why are you here?
And they answered, “ Pasal aun diungog namo makusug timbak.” Kay tiene kame ya uwi pwerte rebentada. We heard a loud blast.
And
the children continued saying, “Pasal aun mga tau mabaya sila kawaun in
Zamboangan.” Kay tiene mga hente quiere saca con el Zamboanga. Because
there are people who want to get Zamboanga.
So I assured them, “
Para kato in Zamboangan, para kanyu ini, bukun kita idihil parugahing
tau. Magtabang-tabang kitanio.” De aton el Zamboanga, para de ustedes
este, numas quita permiti otro saka con el de aton ciudad. Man ayudahan
kita. Zamboanga is ours. Zamboanga is for our children. We shall not
allow other forces to reign in our city. Let’s help each other.
Let
not devastation creep in our hearts. Zamboanguenos are bigger than
this. We shall fight for JUSTICE. We shall rebuild this city. We shall
come out stronger after all these. I remain inspired that our Nuestra
Senora La Virgen del Pilar looks upon us and that the Almighty Father
will help us rise above this crisis. We remain under one flag, one
Zamboanga. Vaya con Dios!

STATEMENT OF MAYOR BENG CLIMACO (10am 9-14-13)
September 14, 2013 at 3:13am (3:13pm September 13, 2013 Ohio time)
Querido
compoblanos de Zamboanga,
Today,
Sept. 14 is the 6th day since the standoff began Monday dawn. The spate
of events that unfolded and continue to unfold are very heartbreaking
and upsetting.

6
days after the spate of incidents in our beloved Zamboanga
City–innocent lives have been lost, properties have been damaged and our
economy paralyzed. The image of Zamboanga, which we painstakingly tried
to restore, was instantly vanished because of this senseless acts
perpetrated by a group of misguided elements.
These past
days the affected barangays remain barricaded and the entire city is
virtually isolated from the world—our airports and seaports are closed,
classes as well as work in all offices, except for agencies rendering
frontline services remain suspended; forced evacuation is imposed on
residents in the areas of concern; and the number of evacuation centers
and evacuees are continuously mounting.
El di amon
simpatia ta extende contodo maga hostages quien hasta este maga tiempo
talli pa na mano del maga insurectos. Our heart goes out to the hapless
hostages who are in distress fearing for their safety, just as we also
sympathize with the families of those soldiers, policemen and innocent
civilians who perished and who were wounded in the course of the
conflict.
Querido compoblanos, todo kita ta sufri y todo
kita victima de este crisis. Like you, I am in anguish and I am
exasperated.
Right
from the start, we have shown decisive leadership, we have not stopped
listening to your concerns and we have not succumbed to complacency. The
measures we have taken were all in respect to agreements, rules of
engagement, and ultimately TO SAVE AND PROTECT LIVES.
Our
police and military authorities continue to safeguard our territories
and our people through confidence-building measures with calibrated
military actions. We continue to support all their efforts and we thank
them and their families for their selflessness and dedication to their
duties.
Ta rindi kame gracias contodo que ta ayuda alivia
este di aton condicion por medio de donacion de comida, relief goods, y
esfuerzo y tiempo que ta ofrece sila voluntariamente para asisti na di
aton relief operations.
To the business community,
banking institutions and all other sectors concerned, thank you for
helping us in providing essential services despite the very tensed
situation.
In this time of crisis, I call on all our
people to remain united and strong. Our faith as a people is
unshakeable. This is not an issue of religion for we have co-existed
peacefully and worked harmoniously. This is an issue of people with
misguided principles using arms to propel their ideology. This conflict
has shown how galvanized and united we are as a city. Together we can
rise up from this climate of fear and doubt and come out better
Zamboanguenos and a more peaceful Zamboanga that we all hope for.
Con

More on the Philippines Sept 14th
Friends,
more on the Philippines.
36,000 are now being evacuated. Wide spread damage. The Philippine army is doing what they can but the Muslims have enough human shields that keep the army from doing an all out attack.
The Moro National Liberation Front is behind this. In 2010 when I was in the Philippines I stayed at the resort of Dakkak while they had a gathering there. In 2012 at Astoria a party center, the day before we had it there was a Muslim wedding being peformed and the Philippine army had the place surrounded because they weren't sure if they were up to no good, the day after during our event it was quiet and peaceful.

Gun control, this is a perfect example of why guns should never be illegal to own or carry. In the Philippines it is unlawful to own a gun. Many live in fear because of kidnappers and that fear has recently become even more of a reality. The people there are told to stay indoors because of the Muslim uprisings.. The Muslim radicals are well armed but ordinary citizens aren't. How can they protect or defend themselves?
Those trapped or who are left in the city sleep dressed in case they have to flee. They also have one person stay awake to keep a vigil in case there is an attack. The question arises often in me, how will they defend themselves when they have NO guns but the enemy has?

Muslims advance slowly but steady. I sent an article out back in 2012 calling shame on the Philippines for brokering a deal with the Muslims giving them some land and calling it peace. The Muslims know NO peace. When world leaders make an agreement they celebrate peace and relax thinking the problem is solved. But when Muslims accept a cease in conflict its a time to reassess, rearm and immediately make plans for future advances. When will the world say enough to this Muslim scourge that keeps making them look like fools?
Most of the Filipino people have very little to begin with and now what little they have is being taken away by evil YES evil Muslims. I have made friends with many while over there, Ruth obviously has friends and family. They are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and have great respect for the US. I am deeply disturbed knowing that they are not eating tonight, sleeping in fear and what little they have is either up in flames or they have no access to it. I can't even send them money to help out while they can't work because the banks are closed, stores are closed, no food - nothing, Red Cross is now trying to get food and supplies in. Wake up America. This may be coming to a town near you.
More tomorrow.

prayer request for the Philippines
Friends,
Please pray for the country of the Philippines. Ruth has family there. The Muslims are causing HELL in Zamboanga City. People are in lock down, places are on fire, hostages, it is war. When this will get coverage is a good question. Before we go to Syria this is where we should go as this country is a Christian nation and our ally.

Syria what about the Philippines
So many thoughts about Syria.
1. When W. Bush was talking about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction he was delayed going in. The Dems blocked it. During this delay it was quietly reported the weapons were leaving Iraq and going to Syria. Can we see bigger weapons being used or are the chemicals being used now part of what left Iraq?
2 Afghanistan is not settled, neither is Iraq, Egypt is ablaze, and Syria is falling apart. Is this part of the plan to destabilize that whole region to get things in line for a one world system?
3 My personal feeling is don't get involved, this is a civil war that we don't really know who is to blame or who is the good guy.
4. Our involvement would completely violate the constitution.
5. Confusing conflict with no clear plan. Repubs as well Dems want us to go in and also members from both parties don't. This will only divide America further.
In summary I believe it would be folly to get involved.
Concerning Egypt. The US is giving them billions a year in aid for no reason. I would offer them this, you want our aid you give us the Coptic Christians. After the transfer takes place cut aid. If this fails authorize troops to go to Egypt and rescue the Coptic Christians and bring them here. We need God fearing people regardless of race. 32,000 empty houses in Cuyahoga by last count I have. Even the Detroit area needs a population boost. In Carey's world this makes sense.
Now are you aware of the Philippines? One crisis is the on going friction between China and the Philippines about fishing grounds. China is encroaching on Philippines territory. The Philippines are America's strongest Pacific rim allie. Do we left China bully or crush the Philippines?
Wait thats only one crisis. Are you aware of what is taking place NOW in the Philippines? A Muslim uprising is occuring in the southern section of the Philippines in Zamboanga City. The Muslim kidnappers have enough human shields as they call the kidnapped victims to resist the Philippine army. Word has it, not 100% confirmed but more than likely true that help and funds for the Muslims are coming from the middle east and possibly Russia. America now has planes flying in that region.

Sue thank you for your patience.
I will try to be as brief as possible in responding; at times I tend to write long drawn out replies.
You like so many of us are searching for political answers. By the very nature of you asking is it time to abolish the two party system you have answered your own question, yes. Though abolish is a rather strong word to use.
There are a couple of main schools of thought regarding the question why doesn't the Tea Party or like-minded voters join ranks with the Constitution Party?
First is a third party doesn't work and won't get enough votes. It's been tried.
Lets look at this question. The two parties who control everything will not allow any room to be challenged. The last time that happened was with Ross Perot. Both parties agreed to allow him access to the debates because of his following but they thought it was safe to make them look better and to make Perot look like a joke. After all almost everything Bush Sr. proposed or initiated Clinton put through. They won.
So some of the mindset is third parties are on the fringe and not mainstream enough. The media and both parties have pounded this into our heads and when a serious threat does start to arise they make that person seem extreme or wacko. WE (Christian, Conservative, Tea Party Patriots) need to change this perception.
Another view within the Tea Party's is they want to try and reform the Republican Party. They think if they can get enough votes and change the direction of the party we can take back our country. Wrong - it won’t happen.
Republicans have had some excellent candidates and elected officials. Think of Bachman, Tancredo, Paul to just name a few. But what did they accomplish? Not much. The establishment will not go along with it. This is THEIR party.
Furthermore Conservative, Christian, Tea Party Republicans were thrown bones and we went after them. The establishment runs on a Godly platform and gives terrific speeches and we believe it. They will say anything to get our votes but vote according to their agenda or the globalist plan. We need to stop being fooled they have mocked us enough, its their party can’t say it enough.
So it has been tried to transform the Republican Party from within, to infiltrate it, reform the Republican Party. I tried in vain, I was the darling of the Lake GOP, made many friends and lost them all because I bucked the system and stood firm in my opposition to Mitt. It is more important to win elections than anything else.
Why the Constitution Party? I looked long and hard what were my best options. Sit out, quit, stay registered a Republican, join the Libertarian Party? It’s not in me to quit, I say I am but never do so, that’s just how I am with everything.
I already answered why I left the GOP that leaves us with the Libertarian Party. I have a saying In a free society you have to restrict certain freedoms to ensure freedom continues. The Libertarians are way to lax in regards to drugs and personal responsibility. Hanging out on the streets for many years I can tell you story after tragic story of things I have seen. In short, anyone involved in any deviant behavior is not free and neither is the community that person lives in. Period.
Concerning Scott Rupert, he is a man of conviction, will not be swayed, he is a true independent. Scott is right when he states political parties are not in the Constitution.
I also thought of staying independent but the reason I didn’t I feel to really change things you need to be in a group. A group of people unified has more clout. A party also has a platform to guide and say this is what we are about.
Lastly, think beyond 2014. Do not be fooled and think we are ready to take on the Dems and GOP. Presidential level maybe, local absolutely not. The Constitution Party is still getting pieces in play and until we do getting up and running on all levels I would encourage you support people like Scott Rupert.
Right now the Constitution Party needs like-minded people who have had enough to join ranks with us. Declaring your independence from the two party system is the first step, next step is simply joining and spreading the word.
I hope I answered everything if not please feel free to contact me or Contact State Chairman Don Shrader or Vice Chair Don Sheen.

The Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) rebels held some civilians hostage in Zamboanga City after a clash with government troops erupted Sunday evening. Zamboanga City Mayor Isabelle Climaco said at least 20 civilians are now being used as "human shields" by the MNLF rebels who are trying to take over the city. Climaco said she received a report that a soldier died but she has no figures on the number of injured. She said some 400 MNLF rebels are involved in the ongoing skirmishes. ABS-CBN News Zamboanga reports 2 civilians died and 4 were wounded after rebels attacked jeepney passengers in Barangay Talon-Talon.

What a treasure trove I stumbled upon. I was looking for old Nixon ads and found this site The Living Room Candidate.. Whats even better is I found the ad I was looking for from 1968.
It is a Nixon ad that ran only once during Rowan and Martin's Laugh In. It was so controversial it was never played again. Some actually thought it was part of the Laugh In show. The ad shows Humphrey laughing amidst chaos and the Vietnam war. The Humphrey camp as well as Demcoratic backers called it low and disgusting and raised a fuss. It was quickly pulled.
This is the ad: http://www.livingroomcandidate.org/commercials/1968/convention#4019

Ralph thanks for the reply. I only sent this to a select few not a total email blast. And maybe I shouldn't of even included about the word on the street concerning the person from Bowling Green possibly running as governor because that's all I was told and they weren't even sure of his name. At this stage I would just toss it aside and see what comes of it. Again I would never and didn't blast this out as fact, just to a few that are involved.
From my understanding the biggest beef with Kasich and maybe there are other concerns is the expansion of medicare. I myself for years have been in support of Kasich but lately tired of all Republicans and not sure where I stand. Quite obvious though Fitz would be a disaster.
The Constitution Party has a long road ahead to build this party into a viable alternative party. Husted ahs recognized the Libertarian, Green and the Constitution Party as legitimate parties and need to be recognized as such. There is a growing unease and resentment towards the 2 party systems. People have had enough. A lot of voters would go towards the Libertarian Party but they are not Christian/Conservative or traditional enough for most Americans. The Constitution Party hopes to woo these voters and build from there. IF all people who have stepped away from voting in the last election or the voters who angrily vote for the lesser of two evils join forces we can have an effect and turn this nation around. At least that is my hope.

Carey,
I am even more surprised that there are people out that "act" like they are informed but are really clueless.
First, I believe Charlie Earl is a Libertarian candidate for Governor. Not sure if that is the guy you are speaking about, but Kasich has approximately $4 million for the election already and will be sure to raise more. A person with minimal political knowledge would know $1 million is play money in this race and that, sadly, there is nobody out there that is a viable candidate to beat Kasich in a primary, and any third party candidate in the General Election will surely help tip the scales to FitzGerald.
As for the Constitution Party, I see they made a great showing with Robert Owens for Attorney General in 2010. Will this be indicative of their abilities against Kasich if they have a candidate and/or any other statewide races they compete in?
Thanks for your reporting....

Subject: incomplete report Portage Tea Party
Friends,
Today I was at the Mantua Potato Festival. The Portage County Tea Party had a nice educational walk through display. It was set up for all ages but the hook was the children's display which gets adults to walk through.
The incomplete report is this. I forgot their names. One gentleman's name was Joe that's all I remember. I approached them in a comical way and said Obama says you're dangerous. After the joking I said we at the Constitution Party are trying to woo you to join us. They responded with we are still in discussion about this and have been also approached by the Libertarian Party. Joe joked but they are to conservative for us.
So what I gather is Tom Z and the rest of the Portage Tea Party are still considering whether to join forces or not. I did my best to convince them in a polite way hey we need to unify and get this thing going.
It seems to me that they are in agreement and on the same page as we are concerning the Republican Party - ENOUGH. I believe they are coming around. They took my card and said they will give it to Tom Z on Monday they have a meeting with him.
Side note 1 they said the Libertarian Party has offered someone from Bowling Green a million bucks to run against Kasich but he doesn't seem like a strong enough candidate. That's all the info I got as they weren't even sure of his name.
Side note 2 What is going on here? I was surprised to find that there are still people who say they are informed and involved but are really clueless. At the booth when I mentioned the last straw for me was Mitt the father of mandated health care and same sex marriage as the GOP nominee the one man said WHAT? He did not know. SAD!
Thats all - reporting from Wickliffe with clear skys and cool temps but things can be heating up for the Constitution Party.

America News and Views news letter - FURTHERMORE
Host Bob Murphy, Liaison for the Tea Party Carey Masci, National Commentator Mike Gutierrez and our special guest US Senate candidate Rusty Bliss were in the studio.

The show for Thursday the 27th was quite different than those in the past. The topics we are now covering are definitely expanding. In this newsletter I am going to write about a few topics from my notes that we never got to.
But first I would like to briefly mention the Tea Party gathering on Monday the 24th I held for US Senate candidate Rusty Bliss at the Greek House In Wickliffe which by the way has terrific food. Rusty Bliss fielded questions from the energized and knowledgeable group that most candidates wouldn't even entertain but Rusty did and he answered them. Just a great time, thanks to everyone who attended.

Joe from the Euclid Tea Party requested that we talk about another Euclid scandal that's brewing.
According to an article in the News Herald Euclid Mayor Bill Cervenik is quite uneasy about a short conversation he had with Jimmy Dimora in 2008. Cervenik insists that phone call with Dimora did not influence his decision to support Neteam AVI a company with ties to Michael Forlani a businessman accused of bribing Dimora. The RTA board the following day voted unanimously to award a $1.2 million contract to Neteam AVI. Cervenik said his decision was made a week earlier that he would support them.
As much as I hate how things are run in Cuyahoga County this is still America where you are innocent until proven guilty so we will have to wait to see how this unravels.
But this I do know, the more layers of government you have the better the odds of corruption are. And anywhere where you have a stronghold of one party rule, especially Democratic, corruption can be found because of no checks and balances,
Cuyahoga needs to be flushed out, layers of government reduced and do away with anything unconstitutional such as mandatory house inspections which is another area of local government that breeds dishonesty and used as an extension of the law to go after people who speak out.
________________
I need to repeat something I already wrote, it is about Euclid council voting to oppose Issue 2. Remember this is the same city that is charging an additional fee to residents for street lights because they could not afford safety forces. So does it make sense to oppose Issue 2? Well of course it does as long as residents don't gripe and complain about the added fee, most just roll over dead and pay. And pay they will even more so if Issue 2 fails. Heads up, get ready to open your wallet if it does.

Saber rattling could get ugly. I have been keeping an eye on a conflict going on now about a year. It is between the Philippines who are friends of the US and China.
Taken from a Yahoo Philippines news source:
China, Taiwan and four Southeast Asian states, including the Philippines and Vietnam, have conflicting claims over the Spratly Islands and other atolls in the South China Sea, an area believed to have rich deposits of oil and gas. It is also a rich fishing ground. Claimants to the sea have been trying to cool tension after a series of disputes this year, including when Chinese patrol boats threatened to ram a Philippine-contracted survey ship in the Reed Bank in March.
I clearly understand what Rep. Ron Paul says that we should not be the policemen of the world because it is not Constitutional but I also agree with Sen. Santorum that if we don't who will because here is a case of what should we do? IF China does use force they would crush the Philippines who are one of our strongest Pacific Rim allies. Do we just sit idly by and do nothing or do we get involved in another conflict?
So many problems across the globe some you don't even hear about.

Philippines Travel Warning
My dear friend Ruth recently went to Labason to visit her mother. She always gets concerned traveling there because the bus has to pass through Tungawan an ambush area from Muslim extremest. The Philippines army and guard do all they can to thwart their effort but the extremists move to another location.
Now think of how Israel must feel living with this fear and think of how in America we have let are guard down. They are in this country. Lets hope it never reaches the point as in the Philippines or other areas around the globe.
Today I received this travel warning from the US Gov.

The Department of State warns U.S. citizens of the risks of terrorist activity in the Philippines, particularly in the Sulu Archipelago and on the island of Mindanao. Terrorist attacks could be indiscriminate and could occur in other areas, to include Manila. Targeted sites may be public gathering places including, but not limited to, airports, shopping malls, conference centers, and other public venues. This Travel Warning replaces the Travel Warning dated November 2, 2010, and updates specific regions of concern and reflects continuing threats due to terrorist and insurgent activities.
Travelers should exercise extreme caution if traveling to Mindanao or the Sulu Archipelago. Regional terrorist groups have carried out bombings resulting in injuries and death. Sporadic clashes have occurred between lawless groups and the Philippine Armed Forces throughout Mindanao, particularly in rural areas. U.S. Government employees must seek special permission to travel to Mindanao or the Sulu Archipelago.
The Philippine government declared a state of emergency on November 24, 2009, for the Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat provinces, as well as Cotabato City in Mindanao, as a result of election-related violence. Although the elections have passed, this state of emergency is still in effect. Travelers should be aware of heightened police activity and significant military presence in these areas. They should carefully research restrictions imposed on travel and follow the instructions of government officials.
Kidnap-for-ransom gangs are active throughout the Philippines and have targeted foreigners. U.S. citizens traveling, living, and working throughout the Philippines are urged to exercise heightened caution in public gathering places. U.S. citizens should exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of demonstrations since they can turn confrontational and possibly escalate to violence.
The Department of State remains concerned about the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against U.S. citizens and interests throughout the world. The Worldwide Caution reminds U.S. citizens that terrorism can occur anywhere.
We encourage all U.S. citizens in the Philippines to enroll with the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program or at the U.S. Embassy in Manila. By enrolling, you can receive the Embassy’s most recent security and safety updates during your trip. Enrolling also ensures that we can reach you, or your designated emergency points of contact, during an emergency. The U.S. Embassy is located at: 1201 Roxas Boulevard, Manila, Philippines, tel. 63-2-301-2000. The American Citizens Services (ACS) section's fax number is 63-2-301-2017, and you may reach the ACS Section by email at ACSinfoManila@state.gov. The ACS Section’s website includes consular information and the most recent messages to the U.S. citizen community in the Philippines.
For more detailed information on general crime and security issues in the Philippines, please see the State Department’s Country Specific Information for the Philippines.
You may also obtain information on security by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the United States and Canada or, for callers outside the United States and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).

Islam religion of peace??
Islam religion of peace?? I chat on the computer with a friend in the Philippines and another in Indonesia. They both tell me the problems they have with the Muslims. I have been warned not to go to Zamboanga City in the Philippines because of the Muslim threat.
Thats why I keep telling people even if you are not religious you better protect Christianity because anytime something is removed it creates a vacuum and it will be replaced by something else. In this case either communism or the conquest by radical Muslims will fill the void when Christianity is silenced.
Make sure you look at the second link. Can you imagine in WWII if we weren't allowed to talk bad about Nazism? We are at war because of Islam and Franklin Graham is going to be silenced because of what he said?
Crazy!!

We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in the Philippines because of the high threat of terrorist attack and the high level of serious crime.
Pay close attention to your personal security at all times and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
Terrorist attacks could occur at any time, anywhere in the Philippines, including in Manila. Is this what we want in the US?
