This was written in January, 2008 but never sent out.
Friends,
So much is happening its impossible to keep up.
Below is an email that I received today. Read it - change some wording to compensate for the era and you are back in NAZI Germany, trying to pray with out repercusions.
Back in December when I was gathering signatures to place Mike Huckabee on the ballot in Lake County a similiar scenario was playing out. I thought I had a sure fire plan - go to the churches I know. One Pastor, when I mentioned on the phone what I was doing, abruptly said NO and good by. Another church that I attend on occasions and know quite a few in the congregation I decided to go with clip board in hand. After the bible study I was received as if I just pulled out a gun, everyone avoided me and took off. The assistant pastor said we can't do that here. I had to explain in whisper that I was a delegate for Mike Huckabee. These people were so fearful of the government and of the lie of separation of church and state that I couldn't even talk about this in the parking lot. This is going on all across America. The push is from the communist/socialist running as Democrats. Need further proof read this email I received.

Carey, I know that Glenn plans to write to you, but I also wanted to thank you for your support. Glenn is up for Re-Election and they are making a campaign issue about his prayers, plus many other things. GLenn lost his father in World War II, and his mother died 18 months later. He was raised by family, but never let the fact he was an orphan slow down his ambition. He worked for Nationwide Ins. for 39 years and owned and operated 5 offices. He is a strong man of faith, and when He was voted President of the board, he did what he has always done, started with prayer. For 9 months it wasn't an issue, and as we got closer to the primary, those who oppose Glenn started making it a issue. Several advised Glenn it would be best for him politically if he stopped, he refused!! Our current president is Kris Jordan who is running for state rep. He picked up where Glenn left off and prays before each session. Glenn has received over 700 e-mails
offering prayer and support. This is what gets us through. The latest attack was his web site. (We are not good with computers) so a friend of ours set up the web-site which had a clip supporting our troops. It was a wonderful clip with music in the back ground. He found the clip on U-Tube..(Glenn and I had never been on U-Tube and I didn't know what it was) One of those who are attacking GLenn found that if you clicked several times there was a follow-up by someone who had added a horrible message (again we were not aware it was there) They cut and pasted the 4 letter words to our clip and sent it to the local papers, and to our State Rep. and Congressman Tieberi, stating that Glenn had intentionally put this evil on his site.. Glenn is the most patriotic man I know. He would never, ever do anything unkind to our troops. He goes to see all the local Men and Women off, prays for them and if possible he is there to welcome them home. This
gives you an idea of how evil they are. They make fun of him on u-tube--they laugh at him at candidates nights, but HE IS STANDING STRONG. I am so proud of him. He would gladly lay down his life for his Lord and his country. He is a man of Honor, with a kind and gentle nature. It is so important that you continue to pray for him.
God Bless You

Vote Democratic this November?
I started this article months ago and was going to let it just sit but with the elections coming up and all the financial turmoil America is in the timing is right for it to be completed. I hope this will open your eyes and tell everyone you know please do not vote Democratic. Their policies and thinking have America so screwed up and bogged down its going to take a miracle to undo their mess.
In a previous article I wrote titled "Hows the Summer Going" written on July 14th of this year, I briefly mention the problem of road repairs. Here's that line:
"You just never figure all the other things affected by this. Less gas sales, less taxes for road repair."
So what appeared in the AP on July 20th? "Dream of gas tax holiday falters over job losses". What is it about? Its about the Democratic congress proposing to raise the gas tax to offset the lost tax revenue from less fuel being sold to maintain our roads. Senator McCain at least was hoping to eliminate the federal gas tax temporarily help ease the pain at the pump but this shortfall is so great its impossible.
More recently, September 22Th, this problem was addressed yet again, and because of this HUGE shortfall gas tax may have to be raised an addtional 25 to 40 cents per gallon and/or license fees raised $5.75 to $19 on top of fee's raised by the county. Where is the average person suppose to come up with this money? And its all because of our no drill and environmental policies.
If that isn't enough to show the failure of the socialist/democratic party then maybe this will. A bill would require the president to make available oil from the government's Strategic Petroleum Reserve. Why is this a failure of an idea? Just think if we did tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, with all the restrictions on exploring or drilling for new oil the Democrats have placed on us, if there is an extreme emergency we would of already have used up our reserve. Thats what its there for, EMERGENCIES, not for times such as now. Hats off to President Bush for not succumbing to the unwise and undo pressure put on him.
Thats not all, the lunacy continues. On CSPAN the other day I heard a man, usually I give the name of the person when I write but this guy made such a ridiculous statement that I will not even honor his absurdity. He said that the economic stimulus checks were a failure because people continued to drive instead of cutting back and saving oil. WHAT! Everyone I know has cut down on their driving but even if it was used for that purpose did he ever think people still need to get to work and shop. Besides, its our money anyways to spend as we see fit. Furthermore there would be no shortage if these people would allow us to build more refineries, explore and drill. What is wrong with these people? They create this mess and then they tell us drive less.
Are you ready for even more? In the recent energy bill, if this part wasn't left out of it, was: Give tax breaks for new energy efficiency programs, including the use of improved building codes and for companies that promote their employees' use of bicycles for commuting. GREAT! Just what we need. The government overseeing that employees go to work on bicycles. I do know some people take bikes to work but its there choice it shouldn't be the governments or their employer. What would the penalty be if the employee didn't follow the companies policy of riding a bike because of health reasons, would they be fired? And what about people searching for work who couldn't or can't ride a bike, would they less likely be hired? This is all madness. I could see it now in the future if this passed, they would then encourage unicycles to save the environment, one less tire is better!
Finally, the liberal left keeps telling us that lifting the drilling ban would have little if any impact on gasoline prices or produce any oil for years. So lets not do anything about this problem. Tomorrow never comes so why plan for it, using their logic this makes sense. Think how many years have passed sine Y2K or 911. Doesn't it seem like yesterday? If we would of started drilling back then, would we still have this mess? Its hard to say but this I do know, by doing nothing its only going to get worse. Much worse.
Still want to vote Democratic this November? If you do, ride a bike to the polls and show support for their policies.

Your response to Ter's heartfelt letter
Some of you responded to Ter' and here's those responses. Anyone else care to add your comments feel free to jump on board as I can send part 2.

Hi Carey,
Please let Ter know that I can identify with him. I too, born in Feb. 1948,
grew up in a hard working, Democrat and Union loyal family.
Please tell him he is a voice, it may be a small voice, but it is NOT
insignificant. As long as he keeps espousing his opinions, he IS a voice to be heard.
His WWII veteran dad would be proud of him, as is mine.

Inteteresting letter Carey, I didn't know you have a friend in Detroit, where I use to live. Matt had a job in Detroit and we had to move you know, because they shut down the factory where they cut and shipped steel. I too agree something should be said about bringing the jobs back.
When I was in Detroit area, I talked to a family from India they ended up moving back to India. Kind of funny because they couldn't find a job in the field that they were in, they said they had an easier time back home.
I was really pissed when Levi's left the country. I'm not sure you seen the Levi's commercial about 2 yrs before they had an ad American made, what happened to that? I shop at the dollar store and look for things made in America and in of all places Walmart I get happy when I see something from USA.
And you know it really pisses me off about them helping the banks on wall street. I guess if any big corp screws up you get help? My husbands friend works for one of the corporations. He was told he didn't have a job, but guess what now he does, lol. that's irony for you. Right now he is in Japan doing some business.

A heartfelt letter from my good friend
Hey Gang,
This well written heartfelt letter from my good friend Ter in Detroit is how a lot of us feel. He wrote this in response to my email titled "My article found a home". Please read it, and remember you are not alone in your frustration.
May God help this nation.
Carey
Hey Carey,
I'm not much for writing and venting my views because I have been convinced for the past 2 decades that my small voice is just that small and insignificant when our future is in the hands of the rich and powerful.
Today we all just get in line, follow the trend or common direction we are all being led to.
Background on who I am:
Born 11/22/49 the 2nd son (of 5 children) of a hard working decorated WW2 hero and his wife, a strong quiet woman of minimal means. Mom and Dad were only High School educated yet in my heart (and I'm sure to many people) they both graduated with honors from the University of American Life with a Doctorate in hard knocks - successful survival.
I too only graduated from High School in Detroit a basic middle of the road American male of the 60's. I lived through the local racial turmoil of those years, but the way I was raised made me conscious of the terrible times Blacks were experiencing. Then again, surviving the 60's we young American males experienced, having the Viet Nam War hanging over our heads. The "Live Now, for tomorrow you may surely die" mind set was in every moment of our daily thoughts.
I served my country and left that part of life with an Honorable Discharge that sits somewhere in a box or underwear drawer safe from dust and prying eyes. It has had no bearing on my life since. I do not go to meetings of Veterans of that era or battle nor do I talk/share about it in public.
I married in '69 to my high school sweetheart. I worked for Chrysler Corporation - Dodge Truck Division for a few years but moved on when being sequestered deep in a manufacturing plant just didn't tickle my fancy or bring my special mechanical abilities to the forefront very often.
My wife and I produced 5 children who have also grown up into hard working Americans.
We struggled raising our family. We are of the (Baby Boomer) group where, without a College Degree, we both HAD to work. Her part time, me full time. My mom was an at home mom and my dad was the only bread winner. This is the America I wanted to be a part of.
I know how difficult it was for us to raise 5 children. The effort invested in this life by my wife doing double duty never goes unappreciated even today. So many times my daily efforts at work paled to what she accomplished.
I will sit the proud Grandfather of 11 healthy little new Americans by Christmas this year. I border on tears as to what this country will be for them .
We have no real savings put aside for retirement. My bad. 8 years ago my job was eliminated at a steel treating company after 26 years of faithful service that paid the bills, kept the heat on and food on the table. 2000 actually was my 1st real awakening as to where this country was going but I believed the powers to be in Washington would keep me and my family safe and prosperous.
Of course, as I was raised to do, I did bounce back and have a good position with an American air carrier today but newer and before unknown to me quirks in this country have come to light. I am amazed and awe struck at what more crazy things I learn every day.
I was a staunch Democrat until Ronald Reagan came into power. This man turned my head around. I felt safer than ever.
Since he left the Oval Office and many of his innovations and directions have been legislated out of existence, I do believe we have been slowly headed into the abyss of world financial turmoil.
American Jobs are still headed overseas. The American Green Back is not worth the paper it is printed on. The ink is another story.
I haven't heard EITHER candidate address BRINGING BACK these jobs to our soil. Only lame promises of possibly "Shutting The Barn AFTER The Horse Got Away" to stop this great loss. Not the real cure is it?
We are the slaves of Bankers, Big Business and Oil Cartels today.
There are NO lobbyists in Washington for US. I always believed that OUR President is OUR lobbyist. That's why we vote him or her into office.
Stupid, aren't I ?
As of this morning I haven't decided who to vote for, or in reality, waste my vote on. After last nights interview with Ms Palin I almost wish SHE was the lead candidate. Not going to happen is it?
We must all step back and realize we are voting in a person who may spend 50+ Million dollars to get a job that will never pay them even 1/10th of that. You must then realize that they MUST work for the people who gave them that money to win.
Wasn't any of US was it?
Thanks for listening to a Middle American again buddy.

Here is a short letter from my friend Lisa that she sent to her representative and senators that will help you understand this current financial mess. I have her permission to post this. The more I read about the bailout the more I agree with Lisa. One line really stands out in her letter: "these measures cannot be done at the expense of community banks". Its always the little guy or independent business that gets hurt.

A letter to State Rep. Philip S. English and Senator's Bob Casey and Arlin Spector
I am a community banker who is irate about the recent developments on Wall Street and the recent bailouts that our government has undertaken. The great, great majority of banks in this country never made one subprime loan, and ninety-eight percent are well-capitalized. We are working every day to serve our communities and provide loans to consumers and small businesses. Banks have paid tens of billions of premiums to fund the FDIC insurance fund, and we know we are going to have significantly increased premiums for years to come. We accept that, and we don’t ask for or need a bailout.
Bear Stearns, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG are not banks. Yet we hear constant talk about “bank problems” and “bank bailouts.” Now Congress is going to vote on legislation to consider a fund with billions of dollars in it to buy distressed assets and some want to add amendments that will hurt my bank – such as changes in the bankruptcy laws and new regulatory burdens. Such changes will only damage community banks like mine that have been an asset to your district.
My bank is trying to serve its community and make loans, but it cannot do that when policy-makers are adopting policies that may make it hard to lend, and increase regulatory costs. While a stable financial system is essential, these measures cannot be done at the expense of community banks like mine. I implore you to please consider the impact of these proposals and to oppose any effort to include bankruptcy provisions or to impose additional regulatory burdens or costs on community banks.

Want to know what is happening, look back to the 1990's
Are you watching the news? Don't think for second this financial mess is all because of bad loans given out by unscrupulous bankers, its way more than that. Our dollar is falling. Our country is quickly heading into third world status and it may possibly be already to late to reverse this inevitable outcome. Our country is broke! We have exported jobs and merchandise out of this country at a furious pace while our current President was busy trying to get on board even more countries like Peru, Colombia and Panama to trade with. Haven't we had enough of free trade deals that sends our dollars and jobs out of here?
Oh and some of you beat the drum of where is our Great American Savior of the middle class Bill Clinton when we need him? Remember folks, he did more damage than any other president. It was under his watch the Chinese Trade Agreement was signed. It was under his administration that Long Beach Naval Base was sold to the Chinese to unleash a barrage of cheap goods that has taken away our jobs. And then there was NAFTA heralded by Bush Sr. and put on fast track and signed by Clinton, the Defender of the American worker, yeah right.
The free trade agreements are some of the reasons why our country is in a mess. Do you think Obama/Biden two Liberal Socialists with globalist views, expanded government and higher taxes is the answer? C'mon don't make me laugh. McCain, nope. Sarah Palin? I hope that she is as conservative as they say. Maybe her conservative thinking can hold sway over McCain and direct his path back to protecting American workers and jobs.
May God help us.

Early today (11/15/99), President Clinton announced the finalization of trade agreements between the United States and China that will make it possible for China to join the World Trade Organization.
Under the terms of the agreement, China will remove its existing trade barriers and be granted permanent normal trade relations (NTR) status by the U.S., thus allowing Beijing favored access to U.S. markets.

Newly declassified documents show that President Bill Clinton personally approved the transfer to China of advanced space technology that can be used for nuclear combat.
The documents show that in 1996 Clinton approved the export of radiation hardened chip sets to China. The specialized chips are necessary for fighting a nuclear war.
Said Obama, "One million jobs have been lost because of NAFTA, including nearly 50,000 jobs here in Ohio. And yet, 10 years after NAFTA passed, Sen. Clinton said it was good for America. Well, I don't think NAFTA has been good for America -- and I never have."
And then Obama said:
"I don't think its realistic for us to repeal NAFTA," he said during a town hall meeting on the economy.
Clinton during the signing of NAFTA
.......In a fundamental sense, this debate about NAFTA is a
debate about whether we will embrace these changes and create the jobs
of tomorrow, or try to resist these changes, hoping we can preserve
the economic structures of yesterday.
(And what was wrong with preserving the economic structure of American jobs and our way of life? Fair trade not free trade!)
We have to tell American workers who
will be dislocated because of this agreement or because of things that
will happen regardless of this agreement, that we are going to have a
reemployment program for training in America, and we intend to do
that.
President Clinton
Do the research people, do the research!!!
May God help this country!

My article has found a home
My article titled "Everyone has been asking Carey's opinion, here it is" has found a home. Sure I posted it on my blogs but I was hoping to post it on one of the GOP sites. But after my last article was removed from there I didn't think it was in my best interest to try adding another.
The last few months I have been facing censorship with my articles, if thats the right word for it. Its coming from all sides, the GOP, news papers and even Ezinearticles.com.
Sure I understand that I took an oath to uphold the Republican platform, which I have no problem with what so ever because I believe in it. But when the party drifts from their core principles then I feel we need to, as I have, speak up. Placing that article calling Mitt Romney a moral failure is not opinion, its fact. Its no secret read his positions as governor of Massachusetts. Same with what I wrote about McCain. This isn't my opinion, these are facts.
The other censorship to come against me was with Ezinearticles.com. I need to be careful here because I do not want to be barred from it as it is an excellent site to get recognized, plenty of my articles have been grabbed from it and placed elsewhere. But my article titled "How can McCain win this election?" was not placed in the politics category but in the pure opinion section. I know what you are thinking that some of the article may be just that - my opinion, but aren't most? Furthermore I browsed the politics blogs on Ezinearticles and I found commentaries on Obama that not only were badly written but filled with opinion and they were left alone under the politics heading. To make matters worse paragraphs were left off the article. (At the bottom I placed the paragraphs that were not printed).
Then there is the local news paper the News Herald who refused to post my letter to the editor for a very lame ridiculous reason. I will include that response in its entirety in another email shortly and you decide if their reason is worthy.
Freedom of speech in America? Only if it agrees with who owns what newspaper, magazine, or blog and if it goes along with the homosexual, socialist, globalist agenda is there freedom.

Hello and good evening,
I just read and enjoyed your article on Sarah Palin which I found on ezinearticles.com .
We are going to release a self-published mini-book on Sarah Palin with a collection of articles with different views on her. These will be articles written by many different writers with a wide range of views on her.
I would like to ask for you authorization to include you article in this collection.
In exchange I would include the part about you and your website links.
Could you please let me know if you agree.
Thank you in advance for letting me know as soon as possible.
Best regards,

Everyone has been asking Carey's opinion, here it is
Friends,
Everyone has been asking since it was revealed that Sarah Palin was McCains choice for VP what I think. Heres my thoughts on it.
I know I am violating President Reagans rule of never speaking ill of a fellow Republican and especially during the convention I should be careful not to take the momentum gained by the GOP but I am tired of seeing my country undergo a systematic destruction of values and way of life that has made America great. And thats how I feel, its my country, as you should take what's happening here in your homeland as personal also. My opinion is this, Senator McCain as well as the GOP is having a hard time finding itself. First Senator McCain snubs the Values Voters debate held in September '07. Then more recently he tried to distance himself from Pastor John Hagee and Pastor Rod Parsley. Are those Conservative principles? Don't think for a second I'm giving Barrack Hussein Obama a free pass, he didn't attend the Value Voters debate either. But he did attend a conference more in line with the Democratic platform. That forum was for the Gays - Lesbian - Bi's and Transgenders. All of you remember this right? Obama catered to his base but McCain forgot what makes the GOP the GOP, the true Conservative. Likewise the Republican party seems to be disjointed. This is a party that is applauding the choice of Sarah Palin as VP, has on stage former candidates Governor Huckabee and Represantative Ron Paul alongside of Governor Romney who supported the homosexual agenda and cross dressing Mayor Giuliani. It doesn't add up, does it?
So, either Senator McCain chose Governor Palin strictly as a political maneuver to trump Obama, he realized that he can't win without a Conservative base or he is what I have been saying he should run as, a moderate that can bring both sides together. How else can you explain having former Democratic presidential hopeful Al Gores running mate Senator Joe Lieberman stumping for you and then choosing a vice president as conservative as Sarah Palin? That shows signs of being able to reach across the aisle for unity.
In the end it really all comes down to Governor Sarah Palin. She has the weight of not only possibly being the first woman vice president but also carries the hopes of the conservative cause. Palin has a chance to set the standard for future women candidates and put the Republican agenda back on course. If she fails, it will be a set back for the Conservative Right but even a bigger set back for women.
Knowing nothing about Governor Palin until just recently I don't have much to go on other than judging her from her speech last night at the Republican Convention. I found her to be forceful when needed, humorous in other spots, her delivery was of a person with confidence, her voice was calm and reassuring unlike Hillary's that can make you wince, in all she hit a home run, no make that a grand slam and in doing so she made Senator McCain look brilliant.

"Carey's Top 10 Ways to Make the Democratic Convention More Exciting"
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE
"Try to squeeze Al Gore into the same suit he wore at the 2000 convention." -- One of David Letterman's "Top 10 Ways to Make the Democratic Convention More Fun."
Lisa from Erie sent that to me and immediately I got inspired. Never hearing or reading David Lettermans Top 10 about the Democratic Convention I thought I would write my own list.
So here is "Carey's Top 10 Ways to Make the Democratic Convention More Exciting"
10.Have Obama's Mother on stage to show the world he's part white
9. Let Queer Nation show up to face paint and shave chest hair.
8. Take up a collection to save cows
7. Have everyone address Obama as Hussein
6. Have EGore announce due to global warming we will now cut off the air conditioning
5. Serve nothing but vegetables and beans to show support for animal rights and then put out of order on all bath room doors.
4. Have Ruddy Giuliani show up dressed as a woman
3. Let Dennis Kucinich talk about passing a bill making it mandatory to love your neighbor
2. Revive Jerry Garcia and Timothy Leary and pass out drugs.
AND THEE NUMBER ONE WAY TO MAKE THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION MORE FUN IS.....
HAVE TEDDY KENNEDY BE THE VALET AND PARK CARS!!

Who should Senator McCain pick as his running mate?
Maybe its a bit late as I am sure Presidential nominee Senator McCain has already chosen his running mate but this is my list of who I like to see and who I hope doesn't get the nod.
The biggest buzz was with Governor Mike Huckabee so I will start with him. Strategically it may be a wise choice for McCain since he totally alienated the Conservative Right. Huckabee brings to the table solid morals and beliefs and his humor and wit will add luster to a drab John McCain. Other than that its not a good fit. Even though Huckabee won the endorsement from the Minuteman his stance on illegals was about as good as McCains which isn't much. As for Governor Huckabee it wouldn't be a wise move for him either. IF he is the future of the Conservative Right, the person to lead this country back to firm ground, as Reagan did, then step back and run again. Distance yourself from the moderate McCain and win the nomination in 2012.
Next from the list of also rans is Governor Mitt Romney. NO! Terrible choice and this could set back the Republican Party for years to come. What Goldwater and Reagan did to bring back true Conservative principles a McCain/Romney ticket will once again label the GOP as the rich white mans party. McCain is a moderate and Romney has about as much moral common sense as the Clintons with his backing of homosexual rights plus he is a multimillionaire with little ties to the common man.
So who would I like to see? Number one on my list which just won't happen and its a real shame is Allan Keyes. There is no garbage on the man other than he is a bulldog who screams about the constitution and returning back this nation to Godly principles which the media uses to label him as an extremist. Every weakness McCain has is overcome by Keyes plus the fact he is an African American broadens the GOP base.
Another person who would be a wise choice for VP is Congressman Duncan Hunter. This man is solid on illegal immigration, gun rights and on defense. Morally he also has it together. As with Keyes he also picks up McCains short comings. What Hunter lacks unfortunately in this celebrity crazed age is charisma and won't stir much enthusiasm. Very unfortunate.
So then who is my pick? Representative Steve King from Iowa. One of the most conservative and controversial members of congress. It would generate much needed enthusiasm to this election and have every talking head liberal out against King which would arouse the Christian Conservatives in supporting a McCain/King ticket. Representative King comes out and tells it like it is whether America wants to hear the truth or not.
In the more main stream picks I would also like to mention two other possible choices, former Representative John Kacich and former Senator George Allen would make fine VP's and eventual Presidential nominees.
It will be interesting to see which way Senator McCain goes, a true conservative to pick up his short comings or a moderate to liberal to appease the middle and Democrats.

Friends, this is already a long read so won't add to much more, will save my other thoughts for another time. Maybe my method is unorthodox but I am using what means I can afford and to drive home the fact that the people can't be continuously taxed with more and more fees added and with government intruding more and more in our daily life's, whether its local - state - or federal. Please pass this on to all your contacts.

Hi Friends!
Maybe I shouldn't be writing anymore concerning my rental situation and let sleeping dogs lie, but I can't be for certain they are and things have changed once again and not for the better. Furthermore plenty of you have been repeatedly asking "Well what is going on with Euclid and your rentals?". I have received so much advice and feedback about my situation it is incredible. It made me feel good that that many were concerned or is it because you find yourself in a similar position? Some who wrote or approached me I wasn't even aware they knew. For instance I received a letter in the mail in support of my stance. This is part of that letter: "Mr. Masci, You speak for many of us. ......how landlords are being bilked. ...... It's one thing to enforce housing laws, but it's another thing to hammer the good landlords while the city refuses to enforce the laws against the bad." EXACTLY!
So here is my update. My friend/tenant living at the Crystal residence told me in the beginning of July he is moving. The reason? He wants out of Euclid. After I sent out the initial email about my situation, Euclid immediately issued that bogus violation for debris, leaves, tree limbs. I brought on separate occasions friends with me as witnesses to see how nice the yard looks. I met with my friend/tenant and the councilman a few days after receiving it, even the councilman agreed it had to be a mistake. My tenants words were "Now I am insulted!" Who wouldn't be? The man hired a landscaping service to maintain the place. And who wouldn't be upset with mandatory inside inspections? So this 1000 pound gorilla called Euclid has pounded on his chest to show who's boss and chased out the kind of resident they hope to attract. Someone older who is not a burden, maintains his place, and works.
I don't blame him for wanting out. Taxes and utilities are higher in Cuyahoga County and now the city wants to start snooping around bothering people. When he moved in he said he just wants to be left alone.
As for the window violation, which I was well aware of way before and promised my friend/tenant that as soon as I was financially able they would be replaced. Now for sure the windows will not be replaced by August thirty first which Euclid is demanding, with no tenant as of July twenty six there is also no income.
Concerning the Priday residence my friend/tenant who said he would be out sometime this summer, possibly August has still not started packing. I had to, under threat, report this to Euclid otherwise they wanted their fee of $200 and an inside inspection. What was Euclid's reply when I said he should be out by August? OK, we will stop out to make sure he has left by August first as you told us he would be. Geee there is so many people wanting to move into Euclid I can understand the need for another empty house. Upon my last count there was 12 on Priday and 10 on Crystal. One has sold on Priday so that is down to 11 unless Euclid chases my tenant out before he is actually ready, and Crystal with my tenant leaving is now up to 12. Wouldn't you think that with all those empty houses Euclid would of at least tried to send an apology to the renter in Crystal and try to convince him to stay? I know the councilman said we don't need any more empty
houses in Euclid. But did he call back as promised? Did he meet with my friend/tenant? NOPE!
Back to the friend/tenant in Priday. Someone who has been a dream tenant, someone who has lived in the same house for nine years, someone I can drop in on anytime, there is no way I am going to start pestering the man to set a date when he is leaving as Euclid wants me to. When he leaves, he leaves. He told me he is and thats good enough for me. Again, does Euclid really need another empty house? And if by chance Euclid does decide to snoop at Priday, don't write a violation for the window on the side. I know it needs painting, I just scraped it to bare wood so I can paint it.
What Euclid needs to do is get rid of the broad bush they use to paint everything and instead use a sharpened pencil to pinpoint problem houses, just not landlords. You don't harass or make it impossible for people to invest and bring new life to the city. People are fleeing from this over burdensome government. Its just not because of white flight. My one tenant is black and I would take another fifty like him anytime. Its the big brother government I am fleeing from. Call it a freedom flight. And I know ignornace is no excuse for breaking laws but if Euclid would of been doing their job and informed me of these over intrusive laws I would not of bought my second house in the city. In '93 when I bought the first place no one came over to inspect, no one bothered me but suddenly now they have to.
HERE IS THE MAYORS REPLY:
Mr. Masci,
Please feel free to communicate with your friends, blogs and acquaintances however you see fit, as my commentary is not needed nor will it be given. Please understand that these ramblings, accusations and mis-statements will not influence the enforcement of housing and rental codes in Euclid. You have various legal opportunities to pursue if in fact you feel you are being treated unfairly. The Law and Housing Departments have gone out of their way to accommodate your "special circumstances" but it just never seems to be enough for you. I am confident that if your case was to get that far, the Judge would treat you fairly as well. We are simply requesting that you follow the law and maintain your properties according to the ordinances of the city of Euclid.
I refuse to allow housing stock in Euclid, especially during these times, to be compromised by homeowners, tenants, and landlords who refuse to take care of their properties. That includes you.
Sincerely,
Mayor Bill Cervenik

Liberalism vs. Conservatism
Here is another case of Liberalism vs. Conservatism. In the first case we have once again the Supreme Court over stepping their boundaries by striking down a Louisiana law that states the death penalty can be issued for raping children 12 and under. How did the Supreme Court vote? The five Liberal Judges said NO we can't allow this and the Conservative Judges voted to keep the states laws of death to those less than humans for raping children. Obviously my words. By the Supreme Court ruling as it did it can invalidate other states who have the same law of death to child rapists. Knowing a few people who went through childhood rape this infuriates me. Read it for yourself so you can feel as frustrated as I am. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080625/ap_on_go_su_co/scotus_child_rape
BUT in Texas the Conservatism heartbeat is still beating proudly. A grand jury with common sense acquitted Joe Horn for shooting and killing two illegal scum-bag criminals with prior convictions for breaking into his neighbors house. If I may speak for so many of us, will say, we understand and congratulate you Mr. Horn for defending and restoring order to your neighborhood. I bet the criminals have put an X on your block to stay away. Money can buy you a lawyer, liberal judges give lean sentences, and many criminals get out of jail early and commit heinous crimes over and over again, people are sick and tired of this. So I declare lets elect Joe Horn Sheriff for all territories contained in the boarders of the US. I bet ya if he wouldn't allow a house to be burglarized he sure wouldn't allow a child rapist to live.
Here read this one also for yourself. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080701/ap_on_re_us/burglary_shooting

More on the killer energy saving light bulbs.
I found this clip on You Tube which further talks
about the killer light bulbs. This guy seems to me to
be an average Joe, believable and tells it like it is.
If you don't believe the politicians than maybe some
one like this guy you will. We are confronted daily
but the onslaught of communism hidden under the guise
of globalism. Why have our politicians allowed us to
trade with communist nations is beyond me. Foreign
nations have been dumping on us inferior products for
years but now products that are killing not only us
but our pets. Enough of my ramblings, listen to this
guy and do like he says.... don't buy the products.

How can McCain win this election??
Now that we know Barack Husein Obama is running against John McCain for the presidency, how can McCain possibly win against such a smooth youthful charismatic opponent? First lets look at how he can't win.
In this age of information people are becoming more informed and are finally catching on to the lies, distortion of facts and unethical nonsense from both parties, Republican and Democrat. People are very tired of being lied to by politicians whether its presidents, governors or congressmen.
So how does Senator McCain lose this coming election? Simple... by lying to us. Lets set the record straight. Senator McCain is not a true Conservative. He had his opportunity to change course and woo the Christian Conservatives during the recent primaries when the Values Voters debate was held but, instead, he didn't attend it. Even more recently he has tried to distance himself from Pastor Rod Parsley and Pastor John Hagee, which doesn't help his stance with the Right. If McCain tries to paint himself as a Conservative to get the true base of the Republican Party out to vote for him as they did for President Bush, he loses the election. We had enough of being used and we will stay home.
So then, how does McCain win this election? By admitting and running as what he is, a moderate. And what is the strength of a moderate? Being able to stand in the middle and bring two opposing sides together. Thats how he needs to run and that is how he can win.
Who will have the biggest say in the outcome of this election? The Conservative Right is very disgruntled for being shunned and because of it, lacks the compassion needed for Senator McCain to win. It is moderate Democrats and Republicans who will decide this election. That is who I am selling McCain to.
Main stream Democrats need to realize that the Democratic party has been hi jacked by Socialists. Its time for them to cross over and support the only choice, John McCain, because what is the option? A one-term US Senator with little experience named Barack Husein Obama, a far leaning liberal socialist.
But, it all starts with Senator McCain standing up and being truthful by saying I am a moderate with many years experience that can and will bring together both sides and unite this country. If McCain chooses the right message and people listen, they will vote for him. Even the Conservative Right might have their enthusiasm stirred up because, again, the alternative is an extreme liberal socialist that has said and promises more taxes and more government for all.

Carey's rental problems with the city of Euclid, Ohio
Friends,
Please read this and send it on to all your contacts, post it on your blogs, help me get this out as it will benefit you also. I don't particularly care for how it is written as I had little time to edit and change the tone but it is still vitally important to get this out there. Let me explain what is going on.
I received a letter from the city of Euclid, Ohio concerning the two rentals I own. I was completely shocked when I read it. The letter was written on May second, received on May third and their terms were to be met by May sixteenth.
What Euclid wants is $200.00 each property for the initial registration and a renewal fee of $75.00 per year with required annual inspections. How many of you have $400.00 at your disposal to hand out to the city?
I am just infuriated with the city of Euclid at their audacity to make such demands with such a short notice. This is nothing more than them wanting more money to spend as they see fit. You can not justify this request. I pay property tax and income tax and now another fee? All cities, even the council man I met with agreed, have drive by inspections. If a property looks neglected from the outside the property owner can be cited and an inspection may be issued. Not only is annual inspections an invasion of my renters privacy but it gets worse. They also demand social security numbers of my tenants. Friends we need to start fighting back at this kind of bureaucracy. First its rental units then it will be home owners with a fee called a residency permit to be allowed to live in your house.
What is the penalty if I don't meet these demands? A fine of up to $1,000.00 and up to 6 months imprisonment. For what? Its my houses what crime have I committed?
Please read and pass on I am hoping this will get into the right hands and a large case will be brought against this city. And if you have caved in to similar demands shame on you!
Below is the letter I sent to the mayor of Euclid and please also open the enclosed document to read what they sent.

Mayor Cervenik,
This letter is in conclusion to our conversation we had on Monday May 12Th at 4PM.
First I would like to thank you for your prompt call and also for taking the time to look at my properties. As for our conversation I was disappointed that I did not make the most of the opportunity I had. You had made your point and steam rolled right over my situation that still exists, lack of money. Your statements of "we could charge you $800.00" and "pay they don't play games" is not what I expected.
This position I find myself in is new to me. My credit rating is very high and I have always paid my bills on time. I don't believe its impossible to make an exception to help someone who has invested in the city. Someone is in a bind the city should do more than just threaten them with a huge fine and jail time. What is Euclid trying to accomplish if someone doesn't have the money? Force them to sell or go bankrupt? Its a real shame that someone who is self employed running a small business decides to invest in his future by buying houses and the city demands more money above property tax and income tax. As you said according to law you are in your right to do so, but does this still make it right?
This policy should be revisited. There is 10 empty houses on Priday Ave alone. The city of Euclid should be doing all they can to encourage investment. If I would of known of the added rental fee's I would not of purchased my houses here. There is plenty of others who feel the same way. I don't anticipate my situation staying the same. My plans for the future are to buy two more houses. Knowing what I now know unless Euclid changes its policy my next two houses won't be in Euclid.
Think of what I could do with that $400.00 the city is demanding. Make a few necessary improvements, even if its one window or pay for my house insurance just to name a few things. Instead the city takes it.
Your solution of raising the rent is not how I do business. By keeping the rent low I had secured a good tenant for over 9 years that gave me no problems. The government whether local, state or federal can't keep taxing and adding fees then tell the public raise your prices. This is driving down the value of the dollar even further. Is anyone ever ahead with this game?
As for the current situation things have changed. The tenant living in Priday will be leaving in July. He has given me his notice. So I will not register it as a rental. I have about 2 months to decide if I will keep it or sell it. I am pretty sure of one thing as of now it won't be a rental.
You weren't willing to try and help with rental fees but maybe Euclid could help pay my house insurance. I am enclosing it so you know I wasn't playing games. Again its a real shame living in America someone falls on hard times is barely making it and the city government can take it all away.

This is a response I received from my article titled "The Death of the GOP".
Fear not Carey. The Republican Party is just one segment of the main word…..Conservatism. The majority of our country 51% to 49% identify themselves as conservatives.
BUT if you read what I wrote in my article, "The Death of the GOP", the Republican Party has been infiltrated by Neoconservatives. I don't trust those numbers or percentages that indicate people or our elected officials as Conservatives. Would you call McCain a Conservative? Mitt Romney? They call themselves Conservatives, I wouldn't it. We have been fooled. As long as a candidate called themselves a Republican/Conservative we foolishly voted for him or her without checking into their record. I would much rather be a small party with solid principles than a large party that has lost its vision. Face it friends we have been duped. I can't say it enough, we have been duped.
Furthermore, not only am I disillusioned with our politicians but so many other things have me concerned. Our country is in perilous times that can doom this nation if we don't change course NOW!
I want you to think on a couple of things and please correct me if I am wrong. Lets consider the Patriot Act and some of the regulations and or laws closely related to it. IF terrorist threats were so great and IF another attack was imminent why didn't we secure our boarders, implement the national ID card and make passports mandatory to enter Canada and Mexico immediately? Why are they slowly being put into play and why isn't our boarders secure yet? Again I need to stress IF this terrorist threat is so great you don't wait to pass those measures you do it immediately. Then when the terrorist threat is diffused and things are safe again you can slowly rescind some of those restrictive laws placed on us. Follow what I am saying? Its important you understand this because this same kind of skulduggery is evident in this man made fuel crisis we are facing. There is no crisis, our policy's have made this mess. Understand?
The shortest estimate I have heard time wise for oil to run out is in forty years. Even if this is true, which it isn't, that is still a relatively long time to be creating this kind of price increase.
They like to tell you world demand is up. OK maybe it is. But is world demand growing at such a fast rate each day that it can increase the price of oil daily? I don't think so. This plan has been put into play years ago.
We kept hearing about the price of gas would be $4 per gallon for years now. If there was a shortage the price would of steadily or instantly went up. They wouldn't of played this up and down game to condition us where the price went up to $1.50 then slid back down to $1.25 and then back up to $1.80 and back down to $1.50. This game has been played all the way up to our current price of $3.55 per gallon.
Most of this mess is our own fault. We have stopped exploration for new oil, haven't built new refineries in years and applauded people like Al Gore who declared war on the internal combustion engine without first finding a replacement. The dollar is crashing. Right now it takes 1.7 cents to make a penny and close to 10 cents to make a nickle. We have exported jobs at a furious pace. We have allowed untold millions in this county illegally. We have replaced hard work and rewarded people with welfare.
Both parties are to blame.
During the recent primary there was quite a few decent men running on the Republican side. Two made quit a stir. Ron Paul and Mike Huckabee. And yet what did the media do? Labeled one as a kook because he believed in the Constitution and the other a religious fanatic for his morals. Now look what this great nation has left to choose from for it's future leader, two morally bankrupt socialists and the other a moderate at best.
Right now I am not sure what the answer is. Recession is eminent and we will be lucky to escape only with a recession. I fear its going to be much worse. In a normal recession you ride out the storm and its the best time to invest. You can also spend yourselves out of recession by encouraging people to go buy that product they have been putting off. But this is different. Inflation and fuel is rising daily. People have had no time to adjust. There is only so much disposable income people have. If our extra money in going for fuel where will the funds come from for other purchases that help to either stabilize job lose or for the job market to grow? People will soon be buying just the essentials.
This fuel pinch is affecting everyone and everything and in area's you may never thought of. Our local governments are going to find it hard to keep within their budget. All the police cars and city vehicles need fuel. As for businesses, they can't keep raising prices that will only lower the value of the dollar further and our incomes aren't climbing as fast. This is very serious. Now the latest talk is oil at $200.00 per barrel that will make people wish for $4.00 per gallon gas.
As all this is going on we continue to wall up our freeways at 1.8 million dollars a mile. One more time, 1.8 million dollars per mile. Sound barriers? It reminds me of when Hitler started walling up the ghetto. Are they trying to contain neighborhoods or do they have other plans in the works they don't want the residents to see? You may think I have lost it but the more I read and see things happen I am not the only one with this cynical thought.
I know this email may seem some what disjointed but these are my concerns and what I see happening. That's what you need to focus on, the content not the structure of the article.
May God help us.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - California's governor is ready to fight an initiative to change the state's Constitution to ban same-sex marriage if it qualifies for the November ballot.
Arnold Schwarzenegger says he will "always be there to fight against that." He has vetoed bills that would allow gay marriage but says he's against the kind of amendments that are being proposed.
Two competing groups are offering different initiatives, one that would limit marriage to heterosexuals, and one that would revoke the spousal rights and tax benefits now extended to same-sex couples under state laws.
Schwarzenegger's comments came at the annual convention of the Log Cabin Republicans, the country's largest gay Republican group.
Am I the only one who is disillusioned with our elected officials and the Republican party? Arnold is another in the long list of liars and neo-cons who will spell certain doom not only for the GOP but ultimately this nation. The Republican Party was the last vestige of moral decency. Once this party fails where should a voter turn?
The problem started shortly after the Reagan Revolution and the Clinton years. People were flocking to the Republican Party after the wave of patriotism President Reagan stirred up followed by the scandal ridden years of the Clinton era. People did all they could to distance themselves from being Democrat. That's where the problem started. The Republican Party was so enamored with the possibility of gaining control of the political landscape of America that they swung the gates wide open and let anyone in who said I am now a Republican. They did not police this party.
Groups such as the Log Cabin Republicans should never of been allowed entry into the party of family values. People like Ruddy Giuliani should never of been allowed to switch. Candidates like Mitt Romney should never been allowed to run for president as a Republican. The Democrats, though they deny it, have a litmus test for their party. That litmus test includes whether you believe in homosexual rights, abortion, and socialized everything. Why didn't the Republican Party enforce their beliefs and have a similar test? As it stands now is there much of a difference if any amongst the parties?
We have been fooled yet again! Arnold is a liar. Remember while campaigning for Pres. Bush in '04 Arnold was yelling "NO girly men"! This man needs to be impeached and sent back to his homeland. Aren't you tired of being lied to?
Maybe its time for another split as what happened in 1971 when the Barry Goldwater faction of the Republican Party started the Libertarian Party, though Goldwater as well as many Libertarians are to wide open with their freedom. If there is another split I have the new name picked out all ready. It would be called the Common Sense Party. If you believe that a man being with another man is normal or 2 women being together than you fail to have common sense. That's where my litmus test would start for the new party. You fail that first question you can't join. That to me is common sense.
footnote:
Everyone is entitled to certain unalienable rights but when your actions cross moral boundaries and the laws of nature and you expect the public to accept your behavior that's where those rights end. Instead of going further with this thought or rewriting what has already been said I have enclosed a statement from Mike Huckabee which I believe sums this up exactly.
State governments have no business regulating the private sexual conduct of consenting adults but do have a role in defining marriage. Let me be very clear - what people do in the privacy of their own lives as adults is their business, don’t want to know; don’t need to know.
If they bring it into the public square and ask me as a taxpayer to support it or to endorse it, then it becomes a matter of public discussion and, I think, public discourse.
Striking laws that prohibited private behavior among adults probably was appropriate because that’s not something that would be easy or even possible to regulate. Not sure that government ought to be regulating that. If, however, advocates asked states to endorse the concept of same-sex unions, we can say no to that. If you ask for survivor benefits to be paid to a same-sex survivor, I think we have a right to say no to that.

Mike Huckabee the future of the Republican Party
I am still clearing out articles in my draft folder I started and deleting links in my favorites from what I saved during the primaries.
I thoroughly researched everything I could on all the candidates. This link concerns Mike Huckabee. During one of his TV ads he mentioned that he was voted one of the five best governors in 2005 according to Time magazine. I found that commercial on line, played it and paused it at the right spot so I could copy the date and research the article. Here it is: http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1129543,00.html
Read it for yourself but two things strike me in this article that I wanted to bring to your attention.
The first one is:
If Huckabee does run, he would have to find a way--as Governor Bill Clinton did in 1992--to divert attention from some of the state's dreary realities, like a high poverty rate,
Yes but you have to remember this is Arkansas not Ohio, Michigan or some of the other states that were known for their economies.
The other is:
Since he became Governor in July 1996, welfare rolls have declined by nearly half, and last year the state's economy grew 4.4%, beating the national average of 4.2%.
That to me is a great accomplishment. Welfare roles declined by nearly half in Arkansas. Unfortunately Mitt Romney and all his money made it seem he was the guy to turn this country's economy around.
I am posting this because I don't think we have heard the last of Mike Huckabee, he could very well be the future of the Republican party.

Fight Back - Let Your Light Shine
DON"T DO IT!!! Stop - think before you follow those wackos that will lead us back into the dark ages, back to a time when EGore's family was still foraging for food in the forests, back before his family became wealthy and bought huge vehicles and jets.
Saturday the 29Th of March, 2008, for those of you who really are in the dark, was..... Earth Hour!
371 cities, towns or local governments from Australia to Canada and even Fiji, Fiji? - I didn't even know they had electricity, were expected to turn off lights on major landmarks and encourage businesses and homeowners to follow, plunging millions of people into darkness to raise awareness about global warming. Are those people wackos?
Lets see oh yeah lets dim the lights in places like Cleveland where its not even safe in most neighborhoods with searchlights as big as a light house. This global warming crapola is making me so frustrated. Have these idiots come to a place called North East Ohio where we are below normal and it's a balmy 23 degrees this spring morning?
I have a magazine from 1950 that declares Global Warming is ending? Its shows a series of photos starting in 1895 to 1950 of this glacier melting in Alaska. It then goes on to proclaim we are now entering a cool down. Global warming started back in 1895? What was the cause back then flatulence from horse drawn carriages? Anyone care to have this article and the cover of the magazine just send me 4 dollars so I can make photo copies and mail it to you. It will prove that you have been duped!
Furthermore.... Do these idiots realize that this will further aggravate global warming? How may you ask by shutting off lights will it cause more global warming? Does any one remember the black outs of 1964 or 2003? You still don't get it do you? Let me explain, when the lights go out there is three things you can do, tell ghost stories, go to sleep, or find a partner and make love! Nine months after those black outs there was a baby boom. And all those babies have either grown up or are going to and they will use more fossil fuel and turn on more lights.
So I say to all my friends lets fight back and enlighten this world. Do your part to stop us from going back to the dark ages, do you part to stop the baby boom in nine months, do your part for all the workers who make light bulbs, save their jobs..... at 9 PM or when you see it gets real dark out turn on all the lights in your house, your car, flash lights anything that illuminates, leave the fridge door open, this is urgent. I myself will be strapping on all the flash lights I can find to myself, turning on my 3 vehicles head lights, I am going to let my light shine!!!
For those of you with Amish neighbors tell them light more candles than usual, light all kerosene's appliances. Do it before the communist take over and make us live in caves.
Join the Charge Of The Light Brigade and do your part!

Politically incorrect but who cares?
Some random political thoughts probably politically incorrect but who cares, I know I don't.
Ode to Craig
Some one mentioned to me at least Spitzer wasn't tapping his foot in the bathroom.... He was alluding to Senator Craig's fiasco.
Immediately I was inspired and knew some where in all of this had to be a poem. Not saying this is my best work but it is a poem.
Foot tapping in the stall of love I thought I found my boy to be
Unfortunately it was a undercover who had a badge and police ID.
Should of called Clinton or Spitzer for their lil black book of sex
Much easier to explain a prostitute to my wife who's now my ex
OK maybe I will stick to my night job.
Spitzers slogan
In the Cleveland area we have an auto dealership called Spitzer, their slogan is: Welcome To Spitzer - Our World Revolves Around You. Maybe the Emperor's Club VIP slogan should be: Welcome Spitzer - Our Call Girls Revolves Around You.
I think I may be in trouble this time but heck I couldn't resist sending it.

Whats in your water?
The five-month-long inquiry by the AP National Investigative Team found that while water is screened for drugs by some suppliers, they usually don't tell their customers that they have found medication in it, including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones. (from Yahoo news)
To that I say... thank God our water has mood stabilizers in it, otherwise there would be a whole lot of people freaking out about whats in our water.
This should make you think.
Ahh the Irony
Hillary Clinton says she is very much pro Union. But then she is also for illegals and benefits of all kinds for them that take jobs away from Americans. Maybe she should unify her position by having the illegals start a union. This way the illegals can demand even more rights. Hillary will support their cause and say she stands behind them because she is pro-union. And for once, Hillary wouldn't be lieing.
Follow my thinking? Just read it another ten times and you will.

The Final Word
Its finally over what I knew way back in May '07 was inevitable, they just had to go through the formality of the election process. McCain is crowned the Republican nominee. Its been a long haul. I was very discouraged by what I sensed and saw coming but when Mike Huckabee gained some recognition and momentum I quickly regrouped and and felt invigorated that just maybe the people would get a chance to pick. It was not meant to be.
I have many articles sitting in my draft folder I never sent out. Maybe in time I will send them out just as a look back to see how wrong or right I was.
Some of what I had sitting in my draft folders were comments from you. I want to give you the opportunity to have your say heard as I am not the only one disillusioned at this time.
So with out further ado here is your thoughts, copied just as your sent them to me. Its a mixed bag but all agree on one thing, we have been let down.

i've been very disappointed in fox news lately, especially yesterday, i have found myself drifting to cnn for my news... because cnn is largely liberal and democrat, they have no problem discussing everything on the conservative side... but its as if mccain bought out fox this experience has reminded me to put my trust in God for the truth, not in the media, even if it's Fox, now let me say this, i don't have a problem with moderation... but moderation and leuk-warmness are two different things when an issue is about right and wrong, there can't be moderation that includes stem-cell research.

I and all our family have been praying for God to work a miracle if that is his will. When I heard this morning that Romney quit I was overjoyed and praised the Lord. Keep praying for our country and that Gods will to be done. It seems to me, as a real political laymen, that Mr. Huckabee has the right message. I hope and pray that many will see that, and that this is truly what the Lord would have for this country.

PS: Did you read the Transatlantic Agreement I sent?
Yes I read it and have read it before....in the BIBLE. The one money word was prophesized a long long time ago. I am 74 and not afraid for myself but feel like weeping for all those who are younger. I'm afraid the life we have had in the past is over and will never be able to be regained. Keep your eyes on Jesus and thank him constantly for all the good things you have received and for all the blessings he will continue to give.
am quite disgusted right now. I can't believe that McCain is getting as much support that he may be the R nominee!!
This is exactly as I said to some a long time ago…Why is the press building up un-electable candidates for the R nomination…..because they are the most beatable.
The press is now going to turn on McCain…especially the New York and LA Times…which both endorsed McCain.
Shame on all conservatives that got duped by the media…..again.
Mitt folded like a cheap suit and and to add insult to injury..... ENDORSES McCain. What a freaking fool I feel I am. If Huckabee does the dance I am through. Let the GOP die and bring on Hell
am very sick and am taking a ton of meds ..... but I think as soon as I feel better I will become an Independent. Giuliani can kiss my Greek ass. I will not support a party that picks a pig like McCain as their poster child. The line is drawn in the sand. I think they are about to cross it.
I said this early in the campaign……the left wing liberal media is going to build up the “most defeatable” republican candidate.
The NY Times and LA Times have both endorsed John McCain…..and now, the NY Times is exposing the scandal between McCain and female lobbyist in 1999.
Was there sex involved? Who cares. Did she benefit from favors? We’ll see. Is this scandal expose’ being done to damage McCain’s chances?
I told you so.
Vince
I'm voting for Huckebee:
I refuse the premise of the liberal media choosing the republican candidate, like McCain.
Rich
I just today heard from two conservative Christians from Ohio who are voting for Hillary so Obama doesn’t get the nomination. This is a nightmare. Cindy

And so we will let the dust settle, regroup, lick our wounds, and see where we should go from here. Be back in a day or two with a longer assessment of where I stand and how I see things. Keep the faith and lean on one another.
Always here for you, need to vent just send more of your thoughts and if you like will forward them on for you.

Let's Not Give Up Hope
Though it seems impossible for Mike Huckabee to garner enough votes to grab the nomination away from McCain just remember miracles can and do happen. But this miracle can only be made possible with your vote. Please consider Mike Huckabee and send a message to the GOP that we want our party back. Forefront in every ones decision should be the issue of morals. If you do the right thing morally all else will follow. We need a social Conservative back at the helm in Washington, we don't need a Conservative Liberal like McCain made slip out during a speech in Texas, we need a true Conservative.
Please don't let the delegate count sway you into following the leader and don't let McCain's large lead discourage you from voting. Vote Mike Huckabee and send a message the Conservative Right is not dead.

My Friends Words Speak for a Lot of Us
Friends
The email below was written by someone I know. I was told I could forward it on but he said "I do not need repercussions at my level so please do not include my name."
His words are the sentiment of a lot of people.
C
Carey,
I think the biggest problem is the State Republican Committee Chairmen. We just had a dinner here ( I wouldn't go) and the Chairman of the Warren County area pushed to have the party members into backing McCain. It seems they would push for the Devil as long as it is a Republican and not a DEM. even if this Poster Child is not what we want. The media picks this up and makes it "Gospel". No one wants to face McCain with his deeds of the present... Feingold, Immigration, Keating, etc. and especially his debacle of the POW-MIA issue of the 1992 Senate Select Committee where he went hand in hand with Kerry... the one we fought against... using that info to get our present POTUS in. Now that info is forbidden by the GOP Party Politic. The media will not report the past of McCain.
McCain has done his photo ops with "Veterans" all around him and with Tom Ridge as a Campaign Manager. Tom thinks he is Arm Candy for McCain but I see someone who I watched change as he rose in the ranks and snubbed those who originally helped him. There is even a call from PA for Ridge to be his running mate... I have to swallow the bile that just came up.
If McCain is the Poster Child in the end, XXXXX and I are going to write in "Dolores Alfond". She was personally attacked by McCain during the Senate Select Committee POW-MIA Hearings of the 90s. Her brother was missing in Vietnam ( Right now there is a problem with the remains they gave her a few years ago) She is also at the head of the National Alliance of Families who are pushing for H Res. 111 calling for a House Select Committee on POW-MIA Affairs for ALL of our wars to include the Cold War. McCain is afraid that the committee may open his files of his captivity. It is the hopes to open all files pertinent to the issue and investigations. I wonder what he wants hidden as he was adamant that a bill be squashed that would allow for that very same investigation to occur.
I hate to say it... but if Huckabee can't push McCain to the curb, the Republicans deserve their asses spanked and forced to eat 4 or more years of the DEMS in power because they couldn't come up with someone more acceptable to the party. In that case.... the child needs chastised and taught that just throwing out ANYTHING is not acceptable. Even drug addicts and alcoholics need to hit bottom before they truly want to rise above their discretion's. I am still a Republican as of Feb 11 but it just keeps getting harder to do with a party that does not listen. I am looking at the other parties... Independent, Libertarian, Constitutional...... never DEM. We all worked hard to help Bush get elected.... miles and money, now I go no where and spend very little but for our local. Even that may disappear.
I agree with you Friend, I also campaigned so much for W I felt as if I was running for President.
I just heard something very exciting. Rumor has it Judge Moore with Allen Keyes as his running mate may be heading the Constitutional Party! This could get interesting as the Evangelicals, Christians, Conservatives and disgruntled Republicans and Vets may just flock to this third party!!!
Think about this..... in '92 we had Bush Sr. running who did not live up to his Conservative billing, hence Read my lips, running against him was Clinton and a third party candidate in Ross Perot. This year we have McCain who is not a true Conservative, we may once again have a Clinton running so could we also have a strong viable third choice? This time I don't think people will let the opportunity slip away.

The email below was written by someone I know. I was told I could forward it on but he said "I do not need repercussions at my level so please do not include my name."
His words are the sentiment of a lot of people.

Carey,
I think the biggest problem is the State Republican Committee Chairmen. Governor Huckabee protests Washington results
Governor Mike Huckabee is protesting the Washinton results and he should. How can they call a race when all of the votes aren't counted? McCain was only ahead by less than 230 votes.
The GOP best get a handle on this and quick. They have already alienated a large majority of the Republican party by not only endorsing McCain but also prematurely coronating him King. Let the people decide!
Of all the elections I have witnessed and all the history books I have read this has got to be the most slanted and pre-chosen of any! Why don't they just do away with the election process and quit fooling with us? All of us knew the Dems and the Clinton propaganda machine would do anything to get Hillary in and on the Republican side its the person of their choice. The same strong arm tactics telling Obama to back off are even more at work telling Huckabee - sit down!
Well folks this race ain't over! I told you Pat Buchanan was wrong when he said Mike Huckabee has no where to go the south is done. Mike Huckabee took Louisiana by a slim margin but he still won. These talking heads are throwing this election. Even though with such a large lead its unlikely that Huckabee can over take McCain its still up to us, the foot soldiers, to keep the pressure on and to keep the election process honest, miracles can happen and have.
Other thoughts I have....
I just wonder if the results being released early by Kansas didn't work against Huckabee. McCain's crew knowing that, might have drummed up even more of his people to get out to vote. Right now I am cynical of everything.
Its amazing that dishonest Mitt is still drawing votes. People just don't get it. And what was Duncan Hunters supporters thinking? In Louisiana he drew about 300 or so votes. Don't those people know he endorsed Huckabee? When a candidate endorses someone you should vote who that person endorsed. When races are this close three hundred votes is a lot.
How do you reach the uninformed masses? If not for them there would be a lot less dishonest politicians elected.

For those who forgot what scoundrels the Clinton regime was read this. Its no wonder why we have no jobs left and our dollar has fallen. And even though this is mostly about Bill, Hillary's hands are just as dirty and involved in every one of Bill's scandals and underhanded deals.

As I drink my night tea or morning coffee I will work my memory bank to remember all the other scandals and research them as they come to me, its a long list that almost has no end!

A Chinese Naval Base -- at Long Beach by Patrick J. Buchanan March 13, 1997
And last year, Johnny Chung, who gave $366,000 to the Democratic National Committee, showed up for a Clinton radio broadcast at the White House, with six Chinese in tow, including an adviser of Cosco. The president begged off being photographed with his guests, which raises a question: If Bill Clinton is leery of being seen with these characters, why is he giving them a Long Beach naval base?...
From Wikpedia
Clinton made it one of his goals as president to pass trade legislation that lowered the barriers to trade with other nations. He broke with many of his supporters, including labor unions, and those in his own party to support free-trade legislation.[36] Opponents argued that lowering tariffs and relaxing rules on imports would cost American jobs because people would buy cheaper products from other countries. Clinton countered that free trade would help America because it would allow the U.S. to boost its exports and grow the economy. Clinton also believed that free trade could help move foreign nations to economic and political reform.

Interesting facts and my observations of the '08 presidential race.
In Florida two things stood out.
Mitt received more votes from the Evangelicals then Mike Huckabee. Christian and Value Voters are buying the lie from the media and Romney's own ads that paint him as a social conservative. He isn't! Look into his record as Governor, only recently he changed. Mitt's Mother who ran for senate in Michigan was a pro-choice Republican. And do I even need to mention again his pro-gay agenda in Massachusetts?
The other one that shows how misinformed and stupid people are was the group of voters who are are anti-establishment and upset at Bush. They went for McCain! He has been around since 1988. I don't even need to further explain the irony in this.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another irony.... this was suppose to be the election of change. Both parties have as the front runner Washington insiders, McCain and Clinton. What change is possible with these two, you have their record. What you will be getting is more of the same.
The first time a black has made it this far and is only a step away from the nomination.
The first time a woman has made it this far and is only a step away from the nomination.
Early in the process there was two Italians and one was a cross dresser.
If Clinton and Huckabee win their parties nomination we will have two candidates from the same state, Arkansas. Who would win that battle in the bid for presidency?
After the scandal ridden era the Clinton's left Arkansas in, Hillary still beat Obama in that state. Once again people are stupid.
In the south Obama a black man is winning and in a predominately white state as Iowa he won also.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its all about money
Its a shame, can you imagine if Huckabee had Mitts wallet? He would be running the table. He is very competitive now with hardly any ads being run. And he still refuses to take off his gloves and fight back. The man is so positive and good for this country.
As for Mitt, I don't hold it against him that he has money and is using it. What I find totally intolerable is the way he uses it to distort facts.
Clinton's is running low on money. Hillary said on Anderson Cooper that she lent her campaign $5 million and reiterated it in the same breath. Some of her campaign workers are now working without pay but she made sure it was known that she LENT the campaign money. Typical Clinton.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pat Buchanan its time to retire. When asked if Huckabee has any chance left Pat replied No, he has no where to go. The south is done.
Help me out here, is Louisiana in the south? What about Texas and Virginia? Or Mississippi, N.C. and Kentucky! Pat has no where to go except home to retire. Good night Pat!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I dedicate this to all the supposed Christians and friends of mine who think because I don't have a national show I am full of it.
In the I told you so category.
I told you to shut off the main stream media such as Ann Coulter. Her and Glen Beck have both come out publicly and said if McCain gets the nomination they will vote for Hilary! Its one thing to protest and maybe not vote or vote third party or even write in a candidate but to vote for Clinton is detestable. They have lost what little credibility they had.
Now the Republicans are running around as if the sky is falling because they are worried the Conservatives won't come out and vote. Why should we? The establishment, media and Mc & Mitt alienated us by their social stance and remember that Value Voters debate that they didn't attend, the debate I keep reminding everyone about? Its haunting them!!!!! I am still insulted. They won't be getting my vote either.
The anti-McCain cry I warned you about is at a higher fervor than even I expected. If he gets in he will do so with out the majority but about 35%. That's due to the crazy way the Republicans have the primaries set up in some states with the winner take all. Mc wouldn't be winning by such a large margin if the delegates won were proportionate.
And I said this to the point of redundancy, but will say it one more time, the way for the Republicans to win is with the Conservative Right, I encourage you to take a step back and look at Huckabee again. He is our only choice and hope!
And lastly in the I told you so.....
I said in May '07 the Establishment would push for McCain and he would win.
Lets pray I am wrong on this one.

Lincoln and King Jr.
I got to thinking of Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. If both were alive today they would have such mixed emotions to the point of heart ache. Both of them would of been excited to see a black man as president and both of them would be saddened that it is one who is pro-choice and as liberal as Obama.
Hope this gives you something to think about.

Huckabee Receives Endorsement from a Kentucky Mother
The number one reason, according to a Kentucky Mother and Grandmother, why Huckabee should be president is.....
This may sound kind of silly, but ...... I have always believed, even as a child, to have faith in people who have just plain "HORSE SENSE" for some reason these kind of people have true personalities and are down to earth in their dealings with other people and really care about the important things in life, so I have one good reason to think that Huckabee is our answer to a better government ... with this i say : 1. Huckabee has "HORSE SENSE"
Shirly Hurly
Kentucky
And that's the best endorsement yet, Mothers always know best!
Vote Huckabee!!

Matt Drudge and Ann Coulter doom the Republicans
I was listening to Matt Drudge on the radio Sunday night. He blasted all Republican candidates and said they don't deserve to win, the next president will be Hillary Clinton even though she doesn't deserve it either.
Matt then went on to list the reasons why each Republican Candidate deserves to lose. Only two really upset me, those two were Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. Matt said that Mitt Romney running in a mostly Democrat state for senate and governor had to run to the left but still he has flip flopped. Matt Drudge just about gave Romney a free pass. Is that absurd thinking or what? A man abandons his principles, shows lack of character for not sticking to his values, wins the Governorship and instead of going back to his conservative roots promotes a very liberal lifestyle but now running for president he announces I am back to the right side. Are we suppose to believe him? Did he vote for gay marriage before he voted against it?
A person of strong convictions and character would never compromise his beliefs for anything. When Allen Keyes ran for the senate in Chicago it was the greatest election defeat in Illinois Senate history, he lost big time. BUT he never once abandoned his principles or backtracked on anything! He went to Illinois with a moral agenda and wasn't about to compromise just for victory. That is leadership and someone to look up to.
Are you following what I am saying? A person who switches sides either has changed his mind or does it strictly for personal gain. Which Mitt is the real Mitt?
Then Drudge went on to Mike Huckabee and what did he say? He read the entire article written by Ann Coulter. Why didn't Matt Drudge do his own homework or tell us something new about Huckabee? I'm sure after a 10 year record as governor there has to be more to him than just what Ann wrote about. Surely he could of found something.
As for Ann Coulters article, where she tries to connect dots but uses curved lines to do so, is so off track its silly. You need to read her article again slowly and you will find that it was written very slanted.
She is trying to convince you that a statement by a Governor, a statement, got that, a statement, one more time a statement Mike Huckabee made about a Supreme Court Ruling, not a ruling he made but a Supreme Court ruling is far worse than than that of another Governor running on the far liberal side, making statements and laws that are homosexual friendly, in fact same sex marriage passed in his state. Is that to much? Why doesn't she compare Huckabee's record and or views on abortion, protection of marriage and other family issues to that of Mitt Romney's record? That would be by far a more accurate comparison than one statement he made.
Ann then tries to make an argument that Mike Huckabee is pro-gay marriage by making this absurd statement "How about adults privately smoking cigarettes in their homes? Nope, Huckabee wants a federal law banning smoking but thinks state laws banning sodomy are "probably" unconstitutional". Oh my! She is comparing a sex act to a product. What someone does in their home is their business. Are we suppose to have bed checks? But with cigarettes they are sold in stores which can be accessible to anyone and just by being on the shelves for kids to see is promoting an unhealthy and dangerous product.
Ann let me ask you, sodomy usually refers to a male using a certain part of his anatomy, have you ever went into a store and asked for soft or hard pack? You would get cigarettes not the male... Do you understand what I am getting at, I was trying to add humor to her ridiculousness.
In Mike Huckabee's own words: State governments have no business regulating the private sexual conduct of consenting adults but do have a role in defining marriage,... Striking laws "that prohibited private behavior among adults probably was appropriate because that’s not something that would be easy or even possible to regulate. Not sure that government ought to be regulating that, If, however, advocates asked states to endorse the concept of same-sex unions, "we can say no to that," Huckabee said.
Isn't this a little different than Ann Coulter's closing remarks of "...... I guess Huckabee is one of those pro-sodomy, pro-gay marriage, pro-evolution evangelical Christians. Where does she come up with that? Ann Coulter not only has lost her mind but her credibility.

I have been trying to tell you people to shut of those bloated bags of wind. This proves it. Turn off FOX and any other slanted media now! My inbox has been filled with "Did you read what Ann Coulter said about Huckabee"? Ann Coulter has the brains and physique of an upside down broom! Yes, quote me on that! Wrap it up and send it to her with love from Carey. What does Ann have to do with this, nothing other than she is an insider ruining the cause of Conservatism like the news channel Fox - fair and balanced, yeah right!
Lets start with Ann, she has been badgering Huckabee for a few statements he made about a decision by the Supreme Court, he said:
"Let me be very clear - what people do in the privacy of their own lives as adults is their business," Huckabee said. "Don’t want to know; don’t need to know......
If, however, advocates asked states to endorse the concept of same-sex unions, "we can say no to that," Huckabee said. "If you ask for survivor benefits to be paid to a same-sex survivor, I think we have a right to say no to that."
She has been all over him, are those words so damning? I don't think so especially when you consider he supported the marriage amendment in Arkansas and led the covenant marriage movement in his state. So who does Ann think would make a fine president? Mitt, the man that had gay events, said he would do more for the gay agenda then Teddy Kennedy, oh may I also add he is delusional by saying I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. But Ann Likes him and said he would make a fine president! Maybe she should join Rudy and Mitt in a Gay parade and hold the baton.
The dumb blond has also attacked Huckabee on school issues but does she know that as Governor he appointed the first home school mother ever to the state school board? Or is she informed enough when she attacks him on the illegal alien issue that Huckabee has been endorsed by the Minutemen? Someone throw cold water on Ann to wake her up she needs to read this!
As for Fox, I am outraged with them also! Even if you don't like Ron Paul this is America, he has a right to speak at the New Hampshire debate. Why are they silencing him? Since when do you keep out a candidate that has garnered as much support as he has? I am frustrated to say the least! I hope everyone is as ticked off as I am and calls Fox and the rest who are doing all they can to hand Mitt and Hillary the nomination and say enough! Face it people, they have pushed their agenda on us, they want Mitt and Hillary, well are you going to let them have their way?
