The First Republican Debate 2011

My thoughts and opinion on the first Republican debate held in S. Carolina a few weeks ago.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By far the most knowledgeable of the debate and someone who didn't waiver in his message was Ron Paul but in my opinion he didn't win. Before I tell who I thought won, let me tell you first the losers and why.
Governor Johnson of New Mexico didn't have a strong enough message. He may of done an admirable job as governor, I don't know, he may even be a good business leader, but he just doesn't seem that he has what it takes to lead this nation. Two big strikes against Johnson with Conservative and Republicans is his stance to legalize marijuana and he is pro-choice. One plus was he did advocate to do away with the minimum wage.
The other loser was Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty had lost me by the first words he spoke. He was asked a question and sounded like a typical politician by saying Before I answer that let me say thank you to the great state of N. Carolina...... Please the nation is burning, put away the niceties and jump right into it like the rest. He also got booed when he was asked about Cap & Trade which at one time he was for. I just didn't care for his message.
Herman Cain dropped one bombshell that imploded his campaign in my mind, which I will get to. Herman sounded great but with little substance. To Herman's credit though, which he brought up, was the fact he is a little bit vague on some issues because he does not have access to certain information because he is a civilian. The bombshell dropped was that he had endorsed Mitt Romney during the last election. Herman preaches that he is a moral conservative but he endorsed a governor that was very pro-homosexual, plus of course Romney care, that sunk Cain in my eyes.
That brings us back to Rep. Ron Paul and then the winner which I am sure you know by now who my choice is.
Ron Paul again was the most knowledgeable about what ails this country and he knows the Constitution better than most. And again, he doesn't waiver in his message. BUT, two things I am adamantly against he is for. Rep. Paul is for legalizing drugs and he thinks the Federal government should not be involved with marriage.
Sometimes you need to use common sense with the Constitution as with all laws and life. Technically he is right but would legalizing drugs help this country? Would legalizing drugs make crime go down? Would it lower the number of people who need mental health clinics? Receive welfare? This is a national issue, not a state issue. The same with marriage. You can not allow states to make their own marriage laws. What happens if two people marry and then move into a state that doesn't recognize it? This is obviously a national issue. Ron needs to tone down his freedom a little. In a free society you have to restrict certain freedoms to ensure that freedom continues. PERIOD!
So the winner is Senator Rick Santorum. If you asked me what one thing I liked about his message or can I quote him, honestly I can't. But he said a lot of little things right. He is morally to the right which really comes out strong listening to him. His limited government stance is also a positive. But the bigest thing going for Santorum is his moral beliefs. America needs someone right now that knows right from wrong. I believe Senator Rick Santorum is the man.
late in posting this
Another Memorial Day. And another year of fighting to keep our God given and Constitutional freedoms alive. So many battles, so many fires to put out.
As I listen to the latest radio blitz with the sirens wailing and the stern words buckle up, the cops are out and will get you, and they have got me in the past. My car, my responsibility to take care of myself and yet they want to micro manage me? Is this really freedom?
Seeing a table on the tree lawn someone has tossed away I jumped out of my car to grab it. A cop see's me and says next time you will get a ticket and possibly a trip to jail. A person can't even retrieve a discarded piece of furniture? Is this freedom?
Sitting lakeside enjoying the summer night in my GoGo Bus until a cop pulls up and says sorry the park is closed leave now or get a ticket. Parks are supported and bought with our tax dollars but we can't enjoy the park the hours we want? Is this freedom?
I think about the hassle with the city of Euclid and their intrusive policy of mandatory house inspections. I take care of my long time tenant, more like a friend. I pay taxes. I maintain the property to the best of my ability during these financially straining times and yet they want to inspect my house, my tenants dwelling place when no crime was committed? Is this freedom?
I submit an article that tells of the immoral behavior and sinful nature of homosexuality according to my bible. Yet this company refused to print my article because they say I am degrading another person. I cant exercise my religious freedom and tell others about it? Is this freedom?
Unemployment over 15%, people wanting government help, mandatory health insurance. I could go on and on. Is this freedom?
Sure these things are little compared to some of the far more serious issues concerning the erosion of our freedoms but if we can't stem the tide of these little things how will we stop the larger ones?
And then our fraud of a president has the audaucity to go over seas and apologize for America being arrogant and tells Israel to go back to their 1967 borders. Does he understand freedom? Does he know how many countries we have liberated through the years?
So I would like to apologize to the men who have lost theirs lives trying to save and promote freedoms that America is now doing all it can to reverse. I sincerely appreciate their service and I more than appreciate their loss of life doing it. I will never forget one second what they have sacrificed. Though I have never served and will never, I am still doing all I can to try and preserve America's waining liberties and freedoms. That's the least I can do to honor the fallen, I hope you will join me.
not all is bad and a new carey's top ten
News flash..... Just in.....
EGore has just issued a statement that Global Warming is now officially over BUT a far more serious threat is upon us - Global Wetting. He advices everyone to move to higher ground and buy boats.
Now back to more serious news.
Obama is doing such a horrible job, he has made such a mess of this economy that he has set a group of people back years! All the hard work they have accomplished to get where they are today has been undone. Very sad. Oh I am not talking about black people, I am talking about community organizers.
But all is not lost. Before Obama took office I gave you my top 10 list of good things to come out of him being elected. Now I give you an updated top 10 of more good things that have either already happened or will happen if Obama is elected to two terms.
Here it is.
Top Ten Reasons Why Two Terms of Obama Ain't That Bad:
10. Obama makes the Bush Jr. years look like the good ole days
9. Michelle Obama lobbies for cash for chunkers where you receive $5000 for turning in a fat person
8. The high prices of gas makes everyone save money cause they cant afford to leave their house
7. Mitt Romney won't be our president
6. Fat kids no longer exist since Happy Meals have been banned
5. Expensive free health care is available for all
4. Prime Minister of Israel Natenyahu agrees to go back to the borders of 67 if Obama goes back to where he was living in 67 - Indonesia
3. Obama gives us new definitions to words like illegals which now means undocumented workers and homeless people are now called outdoors-men.
2. Donuts now have their ingredients listed
And the Number One Reason Why Two Terms of Obama Ain't That Bad is.....
1. Obama promises by the end of his second term that everyone will have two czars in every garage.
Now doesn't that make you feel better?
LIFE IN EUCLID Friday, writen May 6, 2011 4:16 AM
Finally the people have awoken in Euclid and soundly defeated a school levy. But what does the school board have to say about this... well they will try again in November. And the beat goes on....
CKM
Below is taken from Councilman Mary Jo Minariks blog, these are her words:
On Monday May 9th at 6:30pm in Council Chambers, Council will hold an Executive Committee to discuss the current Garbage and Street Lighting Fees along with a couple Charter Amendments. The public is encouraged to show up and voice their opinion.
For background, when Council approved Garbage and Street Lighting Fees (aka taxes) last April, it was for a two year period -2010 and 2011.
Every residence or 'stop' would be charged $9/month for Garbage whether they had one bag or a tree lawn full of bags; whether the house was occupied or not; whether you had a business you could deposit your trash at or not. Seniors who could prove they had incomes of $20,000 or less have a reduced rate of $7/month. Vacant houses can get a 50% reduction. In a nutshell, the program is socialism - oops, I mean egalitarianism at its best.
Those two taxes are about to sunset and the Mayor has submitted legislation to Council to extend the Garbage Tax and the Street Light Tax for five more years.
As the lone Councilperson voting against the Garbage Tax, let me take a few paragraphs to justify my vote. First, to avoid redundancy, I encourage you to read my older posts on the tax Feb 5, 2010 "Trash Talk" and Mar 5, 2010 "Trash Talk Update".
We were told the Garbage Tax was needed to avoid huge layoffs in the Safety Forces. Was it? Garbage fees collected thru November of 2010 came to roughly $1.2million. Interestingly enough in December the Mayor was able to put money into the City's cash reserves. The amount set aside was $1.2million. What a coincidence!
We were told the Street Lighting fees were needed to pay the utility bill. That fee was to be placed on the property tax rolls to be collected in 2011. Against that future collection, the Mayor borrowed $855,000. Now one would think that when that money started rolling in, the Mayor would pay back the $855,000. Not so. The Administration has decided to pay back that loan over time.
An unforeseen side effect to Council's approving these two taxes was rejection of the 2mill sewer levy renewal. This should have been a no brainer for passage. There was No Increase to property taxes and the tax was about $10/year to be used for among other things, snaking residents' clogged sewer lines. Apparently, hell hath no fury as a taxpayer dissed. The voters said NO, leaving the Administration scrambling to figure how to cover that $500,000 or so loss.
The arguments used to twist Council's arm into approving these two taxes were disingenuous at best. It will be interesting to see if Council falls for them again.
hey listen to me
Hey Gang,
I am back on the air, in the air, how ever you prefer to say it. Aren't you excited???
Chairman Fellows asked if I wanted to be on the show NEWS AND VIEWS with Bob Murphy. So of course I said sure.
I have been wanting to get back in the chair since I got a taste of it last spring. The show is short only about a half hour, its prerecorded so no phone calls. But you can hear me at 5PM on 1330 AM - WELW today, Thursday.
I think I did OK. Still have got some street talk in me, but not bad for someone that slept his way through school, umm that didn't sound right. Anyway.... I said a few to many blah blah blahs but getting better. Who knows, maybe another 20 shows people may actually understand me.
So... Tune in, Turn on, or drop dead. Just kidding, couldn't help myself.
Another fire to put out, New State proposals- State control of local governments ( REGIONALISM)
From Dick K.:
If we don't get involved and call your State Senators, State Representatives AND Governor now. One of these days soon we will wake up and say "what happened".
Thursday in the Columbus Dispatch our REPUBLICAN State Auditor Yost is pushing for proposals that would make it easier for municipal corporations, counties and townships to merge. He also feels there are to many counties and overlapping local governments. This is right out of the play book of Dan Troy's (DEMOCRAT) Commission on Local Reform and Collaboration (REGIONALISM).
This is on top of the recently passed HB 153 sponsored by 25 Republicans including Speaker Bachelder. Section 118 is hidden well into the bill. Basically section 118 allows the State to abolish a municipal corporation, county or township after a process, under State supervision, declares a local community under fiscal emergency for at least two years. The court will appoint a receiver and under
court supervision shall wind up the affairs of the municipal corporation, county, or township and dissolve it. The people are left out of this equation.
This bill passed 59 to 40 thanks to our Republican representatives. Representative Ron Young was a YES vote. This is a huge bill with many topics but Section 118 could have been left out and the bill still would have passed 59 to 40. THE GOVERNMENT SECRETLY WON AGAIN. The bill is now in Senate. The fight for our freedoms is up to us .
ALBERT EINSTEIN once said " The world
is a dangerous place, not because of men that do evil, BUT BECAUSE OF THOSE WHO STAND AROUND AND DO NOTHING".
Please do something. Dick K
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For those not in Ohio, Yost was pushed to the front over Seth Morgan a Tea Party favorite by the Repub establishment. And now we reap the benefits of Yost winning the election by him not acting in accordance with the principles of the Republican party.
Carey looks at some current events
The gas dilemma.
I finally bought a bigger gas can. I was so tired of running out of gas while doing yard work that I swapped my 1 gal. can for a 5. Unfortunately I can't afford to fill the 5 so I am back to using the 1 gal..
I have been checking local ordinances about owning sheep in the city. Trying to figure out whats cheaper, owning sheep or keeping my lawn mower fueled.
I saw a store ad the another day advertising their gas lawn mowers with LPG. Lawns Per Gallon.
Troubling headlines
Senator Warns Financial Trouble Ahead for U.S., Prepare Now
Is Your Prostate Keeping You Up at Night?
That was the headline and ad on my Yahoo homepage the other day, one on top of the other. I should never of read it before bed. All night I couldn't sleep, wasn't sure if it was because I was worried about the looming financial trouble or if it was my prostrate.
High and Higher
Gov. Johnson of New Mexico said during the first debate two weeks ago that he has climbed most of the highest mountains with a few more to go which he will climb. He is also in favor of legalizing pot. I think his campaign slogan should be - Lets get high together.
A couple of more words on Osama.
A new version of the Jules Verne classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea will be rewritten to fit the times. It will be called 20,000 Muslims Under the Sea.
A strange phenomenon has occurred after Osama was tossed into the sea. Before when you put your ear to a conk shell you could hear the ocean, now when you do it you hear the Muslim Call to Prayer.
And lastly.... Now that Osama is dead I guess you could call him a Has Bin.
The Bad and the Good
The Bad - China has the Blackhawk helicopter that was downed in Pakistan. The Good - You will be able to buy one soon at Walmart.
bin ladin and the deep sea
Just about every thing has been written and or said about the tossing of Osama into the sea so I won't analyze what has already been, just a few comments.
I didn't put this in writing but when I heard the news I immediately called my friend Cindy and said this isn't the last you heard about Osama. And sure enough, its raging strong and will be for years, right up there with JFK, Hoffa, Area 51, Obama's origin of birth and all the other conspiracies.
It is still hard to believe that the greatest - the strongest nation on earth and we toss the most wanted fugitive in the world into the sea?? This is beyond bizarre. Someone pinch me, am I dreaming?
I want to make sure I have everything correct so I will ask you.
The Muslims don't mind us killing a murderous Muslim but they care about how the body of this murderous Muslim is laid to rest?
Obama promised to have a transparent government but he won't show us the photos, plus he rids the body into the sea?
OK let me get this straight, we wage war on radical Islam but them we are afraid to let a pastor burn a Koran or release photos of Osama because it would endanger lives. Ummm.... is this showing strength or weakness?
OK let me get this straight, our government won't release the photos because they are to gruesome, but they allow the Jerry Springer show on TV.
____________________________________
This just in - OSAMA IS DEAD but Obama is still in office.
I guess this puts to rest the conspiracy that Osama was in Texas playing golf with George W.
Word has it that since Osama has officially been found, the US will now focus all their attention on locating Obama's real birth certificate. They think it could be in a cave in Afghanistan.
Immediately after Osama was removed from the worlds most wanted number one spot, Michelle Obama lobbied to have Ronald McDonald listed as the new most wanted. After all millions of fat kids are dieing at a young age from obesity.
The state department issued this statement: If your child should happen to see Ronald McDonald be very careful, he is known to make kids crave fast food and could be armed with a Big Mac and a Happy Meal.
Bin Laden was shot in the head during a firefight and then quickly buried at sea. I think we see the making of a new reality show, Fishing for Osama.
Donald Trump is now demanding from Obama to show his real birth certificate and the photos of Osama. Trump said we don't even know if Obama was born in Hawaii or if Osama was killed in Pakistan. For all we know Osama could of been killed in Hawaii and Obama born in Pakistan. Or maybe they are the same person, they are about the same height.
The US-Gov did attach a note to Osama, similar to when you were a kid and placed a note in a bottle and tossed it in the ocean. The tag on Osama read if found please call the White House.
Hollywood is making a sequel to a classic Don Knotts movie. It's called The Incredible Mr. Limpet Meets Osama.
Anyone want to go fishing??
Carey Masci
I will conclude this with words from Ruth in the Philippines and my 12 year old friend Cassie.
I asked Ruth what they thought in the Philippines and she said Some believe others don't, after all seeing is believing.
And Cassie writes:
okay so im sure youve heard about bin ladin or whoever that is right. i have a couple of questions for you soooo here they go,
- did bin ladin really use his wife as a shield, im sure glad im not his wife
- was he going to get a weapon and thats why they killed him right there
- if he didnt go for a weapon would they of just captured him
- did the wife get shot
- who killed him [seals army etc.]
- where was he shot
- were there more people who thought they should of captured then killed him
all of these questions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will ALL these questions ever be answered? Maybe when they find the body of Hoffa.
hey moammar want to go cruising
America begins air strikes and Moammar Ghadafi goes cruisin' with his sun roof open.... Details at 11.
What the heck? Did you see that clip of Ghadafi cruising around, sticking out of his sunroof, pumping his fist in the air? WOW! He was acting as if the Browns had just won the Super Bowl.
How different things are compared to when the US had a real president. Under President Reagan, Moammar Ghadafi acted up, Ronny Raygun bombed his palace and killed one of his family members. But under Obama, he orders air strikes, Moammar goes driving around as if its spring break in South Beach. Strange days we live in indeed.
But Obama did allocate millions for boots, tents and essential food items. Oh not for the thousands of homeless in America but for the Libyan Rebels of this non-war war. Who knows, maybe we are using non-bomb bombs. Anything is possible with a Nobel Peace Prize Liberal in charge, especially one that by passes Congress's declaration for war.
Speaking of things that are non non or something like that. How is everyone doing with this non-inflation inflation we are all suffering? I am quite puzzled by it. My house insurance went up but my house value has fallen. Could this be a definition of non-inflation inflation? Or is that deflation inflation?
My house payment went up by $26 per month caused by property tax and insurance increase. To go along with those increases my auto insurance went up by $50 per year. Why? According to the different insurance agents I spoke with it could be lots of reasons. Number one on the list, the rates went up.
I was told by one agent the insurance industry went to the government and they OK'd the increase. Is this state or fed? Was it under Strickland or Kasich? Even though I doubt if it was Kasich.
One lady agent I spoke to got me so upset that I wanted to pull her hair. She said Well they take into consideration many things. One is your credit. I said My rating is 810. After going no where and back she says again well you should start with your credit report. LADY I TOLD YOU I JUST GOT IT BACK AND IT IS 810. I realize that sir but that's where I would start. GOOD BY! Unless she meant what someone makes in a year. So if that's the case, many people right now are making less, should we all expect an increase? How sad is that.
Another said the economy is bad so more people are calling in claims.
And finally one other agent said this wacky statement. Actually the rates have gone down in recent years for auto insurance but if you haven't had an increase the last few years that's why yours went up? Please someone translate for me.
And gas, the sky's the limit it seems. But because of that, one thing gains in value, my vehicles. Every time I fill up, they double in value. Another non-inflation inflation example?  Or is that inflation inflation?
I guess maybe I should go visit Libya. The way Mommar is driving around having a good time it seems like he can afford the gas and the insurance. Hey Mommar what are you doing Friday, want to go cruising and watch the air show?
Euclid is at it again and again and again
Euclid is at it again and again and again. I know! Lets blame the blacks for all the cities current problems. Why not, Bush gets blamed for all of our nations problems, so lets blame the blacks for all of Euclid's problems.
For those who think the city has problems because blacks moved in you need your head examined. This city has been ill run with too many rules, regulations and high taxes for years and all of those have been abused.
Read these latest doosies.
This link is about the cop who shot himself.
http://www.woio.com/Global/story.asp?S=14480797&Call=Email&Format=HTML
The policeman that shot himself was the same one who was involved with the Ed Gudenas fiasco of the unwarranted house inspections.
http://news-herald.com/articles/2011/03/30/news/doc4d934efbeb1dc514142923.txt#blogcomments
But we all know - don't we? - that house inspections are solely for the purpose of maintaining the housing stock, never as an extension of the law or to punish or scare someone who speaks out against the city and mayor. Nahhh, that never happens, right Gudenas.
Ed Gudenas was one of the people who were involved with the recall of Mayor Cervenik. Maybe just a coincidence, huh?
And then there is this lovely bit of news. The latest calls for the building of a new jail in Euclid. Why? Well Euclid is hoping to house more prisoners from the county. The more they house, the more money they bring in. Swell way to raise revenue in the city. Forget about jobs, lets make more arrests and create more jail space. With today's technology, many offenders could be put under house arrest with tracking devices, just one novel idea. But here is some sad news for Euclid. Lake County had to close one of their jails. Why? Because the county couldn't afford to keep it open. Cuyahoga is by far more broke then Lake so where will the funds come from? Well lets see? More taxes and more arrests. Look out people, don't jay walk.
Read this blog from one very very upset Euclid Councilwoman.
http://4euclid.blogspot.com/
In the mean time, lets blame the blacks, OK? Ummm I do hope you know I am being facetious.
passports and Obamas certificate
Kathy on this site (Mentor 9/12) raised the question Could Obama be hiding his certificate to embarrass Republicans?
Well now supposedly they have released the long form birth certificate. If this holds out to be true DO NOT feel ashamed for believing Obama was not born in this country. There were many new sources who referred to Obama as being Kenyan born. In other words, we had probably cause not to believe he was born in America.
Regardless if he was or not, we can not allow the question whether Obama is legitimately qualified to be US president to die just yet. This we do know as fact, Obama attended school in Indonesia while his Indonesian Dad was raising him. So we still have to look into whether Obama was adopted and changed his citizenship to Indonesian. Which again many news sources report he has. Including an Indonesian friend of mine who was excited that our president went to grade school there.
That is important as well as the issue of if its Constitutional to hold the office of presidency when one parent is not American.
So lets stay on this trail and clear up these last questions.
Onto other news.......
Besides everything else going on we now have this:
http://www.consumertraveler.com/today/state-dept-wants-to-make-it-harder-to-get-a-passport/
Can it be they want to try to stop the flow of people leaving when the collapse to our country happens?
Could this be for anyone who speaks out against the New World Order, who is a Christian?  Reminds me of when Hitler made it increasingly difficult to leave Germany.
Just thoughts.
who got to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer?
I want to know who got to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer?
This is sad. We could of finally put to rest whether Obama was born in America. Even if Obama was, since he has raised speculation, this would of closed the door on anyone else who may be seeking to run as president in the future who could be possibly be foreign born.
 Jan Brewer is so wrong on this issue or was she pressured to make this bad decision??
CKM
The governor of Arizona has vetoed a bill requiring presidential candidates to prove US citizenship in order to get on the state's election ballot.
Republican Jan Brewer said the bill would have allowed officials to judge who is eligible to run for office. This is a crazy statement!!!
She is on drugs!
Thats just what America needs more couch potatos sitting around smoking dope to be a drain on society by waiting for welfare checks instead being productive.
I know in my small business I would never hire anyone who is on drugs and neither would I want them around as friends. I have in the past and its caused nothing but problems.
The people are being fooled, the gov wants to legalize it soley for taxes so they can spend the money and usually the money spent is on legislation that is pro-socialist.
Most dictatorships use drugs to dope the masses to keep them under their control.
Why Obama needs to be removed immediately
Please correct me if I am wrong but If I am correct and this is factual then we need to proceed immediately with the removal of Obama
FINALLY someone addressed the question I have posed and have been asking since Obama has taken office.
The question of whether Obama was born in Hawaii is but only one question, my question has been and still is and just as important, Since both of Obama's parents are not Americans does this disqualify him?
This is finally answered at the 9:40 mark of the link below and read the comments from Congressman Bingham.
Again, Please correct me if I am wrong but If this is factual then we need to proceed immediately with the removal of Obama and his cabinet and practice civil disobedience to what ever the Obama Administration has administered and is administering. This should also immediately call back all of the troops Obama has deployed.
John Bingham stated in the House of Representatives in 1862:
Who are natural-born citizens but those born in the Republic? […] [P]ersons born within the Republic, of parents owing allegiance to no other sovereignty, are natural born citizens. trump gets closer
Finally someone who has high visibility and has credentials is chasing the legality of Obama's legitimacy as our president, Donald Trump. But even Trump is still not raising all the questions of Obama possibly being an Indonesian from being adopted and also the issue of both parents not being US citizens.
Lets hope Trump addresses all these questions.
This week the House will vote on
This week the House will vote on repealing part of the Health Care bill. That part is the $600.00 per vendor. If any business spends $600.00 or more from any store or service they have to receive a 1099 form otherwise that can not deduct it from their taxes.
So in other words.... I run a janitorial service. Lets say I spend $600 at a place like a Wal Mart for brooms, glass cleaner, etc... I would have to save my receipts, go to Wal Mart and they would issue me a 1099. If they don't, I can not deduct my business expenses from my income. Do you know the cost of this per business? I bet most businesses won't want to do this.
But mean while Union members received a break in their health care costs.
Pastor Terry Jones
Listen to the ridiculous talk from this reporter talking about Pastor Terry Jones and his obvious anti-Christian liberal bias.
http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-15749633/terry-jones-receives-death-threats-24780307
Let me spell it out for you in case you missed it.
The reporter was asked how did the pastor seem to you. The reporter said He seems coherent. COHERENT?? Why wouldn't the pastor be coherent? He burned a Koran. Why, are you suppose to be incoherent or on drugs or have a mental illness for such an action? The Muslims and their false religion are causing unrest where ever it goes and its time someone takes a stand.
And shame on General Petraeus for aiding and abetting the enemy for saying this pastors action were hateful and intolerant. Why does the general think we are over there in those Muslim countries, because they are God fearing Christians who behave Godly? C'mon people wake up.
And two more points I like to bring out.
Think of how many times people make fun of the bible or have desecrated it? Do Christians behave in the manner the Muslims are? Of course not. It says in the bible when you bring the Gospel to someone and they refuse it, shake the dust of your shoes and leave. Or maybe it says carry on, riot and murder to show the love of God?
And for those who don't understand or think its wrong for a pastor or any clergy to carry a weapon. Back when America was being founded the circuit preachers always armed themselves because the country was still unruly from hostile Indians, outlaws and wild animals. Maybe we are heading back to those days. We don't stop this pagan scourge of false gods all of us will have to arm ourselves.
what I dug up about Indonesia and Obama
At the Heritage Club Meeting I attended tonight we were discussing the legitimacy of Obama's presidency. Is he a US citizen or not?
I raised the question about even if he was born here I thought he was adopted by an Indonesian and was a citizen of Indonesia? We do know thats where he attended grade school.
Read these links and decide for yourself.
I went to Yahoo Indonesia to find this site: Does this disqualify Obama in any way?
http://www.expat.or.id/info/nationalityact.html
This information is provided for historical purposes only .. the current Indonesian Nationality Act can be found here
Indonesian nationality is governed by Act No. 62 of 1958. It defines an Indonesian national as a person who, since the beginning of independence on August 17, 1945, qualifies for citizenship under existing laws.
Further, a person whose mother is an Indonesian national, but whose father's nationality is unknown or whose father is stateless, shall qualify for Indonesian citizenship. Also, a person who was born in Indonesia from unknown parents, or an orphan whose parents are unknown, or a person born in Indonesia who does not inherit any nationality from his/her parents, shall qualify for Indonesian citizenship. A five year old child, who is adopted by foster parents of Indonesian nationality, shall qualify for Indonesian nationality if the foster parents apply to a court to legitimize the adoption within one year and are granted their request.
A child born from a legitimate marriage of an Indonesian mother and an alien father shall, in the event a divorce is granted by the court, qualify for Indonesian nationality if he/she so decides. A child born from a legitimate or illegitimate marriage between an alien father and an Indonesian mother is entitled to become an Indonesian national if he/she applies to the Minister of Justice, having abandoned his/her alien nationality according to the law of the foreign country or in accordance with an agreement concluded between Indonesia and a foreign country. In such case a child shall submit the application within a year after reaching the age of 18.
To obtain Indonesian nationality, aliens must fulfill the following conditions:
1.Have reached the age of 21 or over;
2.Were born in Indonesia or have lived in Indonesia continuously for 5 years, or interruptedly for 10 years;
3.Have a fair command of the Indonesian language and knowledge of Indonesian history, and have never been convicted by a court for a breach of law or for any act against Indonesia;
4.Have the consent of the wife/husband;
5.Are mentally and physically healthy;
6.Pay a fee of not less than Rp 500 and not more than Rp 10,000, which shall be decided by the court, taking into consideration the applicant's income;
7.Have permanent employment;
8.Have no other nationality or have abandoned his/her nationality which is in conformity with an agreement on dual nationality reached between Indonesia and the foreign country.
9.An alien man married to an Indonesian woman is not entitled to apply for Indonesian citizenship. However, Indonesian nationality may be granted to aliens who have proved meritorious and have served the interest of Indonesia. Such nationality shall be granted with the approval of the House of Representatives.
An alien wife of an Indonesian national is entitled to Indonesian citizenship if she so wishes and makes a statement to that effect within a year of the marriage. This does not apply if the husband has abandoned his Indonesian nationality.
An Indonesian woman married to an alien husband shall lose her Indonesian nationality if she makes a statement to this effect within a year of her marriage.
Indonesian nationality obtained by a husband shall automatically apply to his wife except where she, after acquiring Indonesian nationality, does not abandon her alien nationality. If a person loses his/her Indonesian nationality, his wife/her husband also loses it, except where both of them are stateless. A person who has lost his/her Indonesian nationality by marriage can regain it if the marriage is broken off and the person applies for it. Such an application shall include a statement of the broken marriage and be submitted to a court or an Indonesian diplomatic mission abroad.
A child under the age of 18 who is not married and retains his/her kinship with the father who has not yet acquired Indonesian nationality, qualifies for Indonesian nationality if he/she lives permanently in Indonesia.
If a widow or widower obtains Indonesian nationality, her/his child shall be entitled to the same provided that the latter is under 18 years of age and not married. This also applies to children under 18 and not married, born to parents who have lost their Indonesian nationality.
Carey's funnies for today
Hey Gang,
Cleveland has the dubious distinction of being involved in another weird situation. During the Cavs Clippers basketball game a week back a man ran out on the court with a knife before the start of it. Such bad timing. The way the Cavs keep losing he should of ran out during the game so he could of cut it short.
Has anyone noticed how the last month probasket ball has all the teems wearing Hispanic jerseys? All of them have Los, like Los Mavs. The Cavs finally don't feel all alone. Since the beginning of the season they have had loss written all over them.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich has been talking about impeaching Obama. Not sure if he is serious or just wants another ride on Air Force One.
Cleveland officials are a little envious of Japan. They wish the quake would of hit here. Its a lot quicker and cheaper demolishing all the empty houses in the area.
I am sure most of you have heard Bill Cosby's speech about family values.
These are a few lines from it:
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack...
Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up .....
But did you know that Bill Cosby will be the host at this years Playboy Jazz Festival?
I guess he really knows what he is talking about when he says pants down around the crack and she has her dress all the way up.
Truth is stranger than fiction but still not as strange as my humor.
WHAT DOES ABORTION HAVE TO DO WITH THE ECONOMY?
Rachel Maddow. If you want to understand the Liberal sides view you need to watch this woman. She is something else.
Rachel did raise an interesting question on her show Tuesday. She was complaining about how the Republicans got elected to fix the economy but instead they are wasting our time with pro-life legislation. What does this have to do with the economy?
Trying to stay on topic here but quickly, saying that statement the Republicans were elected to fix the economy is Rachel now admitting Obama is a disaster? And coming right back at Rachel wasn't the election of Obama having to do with hope & change, well what does homosexual's in the military or same sex marriage have to do with anything?
OK back on topic. Rachel said that many states are adopting policies of anti abortion legislation and one state even included in a clinics brochure to women that they would be killing a tiny baby. She thought that was so amusing.
So I will raise the question Rachel has, WHAT DOES ABORTION HAVE TO DO WITH THE ECONOMY? Really what does it have to do with the economy?
But instead of asking one of my pro-life friends I will quote from an article that I found in a newspaper while on Korean Air heading back home from the Philippines back in October. Unfortunately I don't remember the papers name as I jotted this info down on a napkin and forgot to write it.
It states:
South Korea plans to spend 70.2 BILLION in the next 5 years to boost its low birth rate. Large sums will be used to get people to have babies and deal with welfare issues caused by an aging population and also to maintain national growth.
While we are killing our young, South Korea is encouraging babies so eventually they can take care of the elderly instead of the government and also to maintain national growth. I think that's an economic issue. Does this make sense to you Rachel?
Short commentary I wrote about 2 months ago
It seems as if the whole world is about to come undone. Little fires are breaking out all over and some are turning in to major revolutions, over throws. It could change the world map and change life as we know it. What is gone on?
When the violence first started in Tunisia I paid little attention to it. When fighting broke out in Egypt I was listening a little bit more, still not overly concerned. But now what is happening in the Middle East not only am I paying attention it has me concerned.
The list of country's in upheaval is growing daily. Besides the turmoil in Tunisia and Egypt, Iraq is still not put back together, same in Afghanistan, Iran is about to let loose, Libya, Yemen, Syria, Bahrain, Algeria things are happening and there are other country's either suffering unrest or about to.
On the surface it appears as if these outbreaks are from people in bondage yearning for a voice and a path towards democracy. Or is there an underlying force of Islam driving the violence? Either one of these scenarios America has a serious decision to make and at a time like this its not an easy one or popular. Do we get involved?
America is broke and our military is spread out to thin as it is, no argument there. But if the rebellions taking place are genuinely geared towards freedom and democracy we need to some how lend a hand and at least some direction. If we don't the freedom movement could be squelched by radical Islamists.
If it is the other scenario where radical Islam is at the root of this we still have to seriously look at the option of involvement. I myself have changed through the years and now wish America would quit meddling in other countries affairs but this is much different If radical fundamentalist Islam grows and unifies not much can stop it. So the time to act is now if this is the cause. But the real question is - do we?
SPINMEISTERS TELL YOU THERE IS NO INFLATION
Inflation? We don't have no stinkin' inflation!
If I see one more Spinmeister on TV telling us there is no inflation and it's in check I am going to inflate someones lip. What planet do these people live on?
The most obvious is the cost of gas, has it gone up? Of course. One of the reasons is because the dollar isn't buying as much. Isn't that inflation?
Or what about coffee that has gone up 100% since last year? Not only will my car be harder to start but so will I. Is that inflation?
And today I get my car insurance renewal bill. It looked higher than last years. So I checked and sure enough it went up $50. This I will be calling and having a fit about. I am driving way less and have all their discounts and all my insurance plans are with them, why the increase? Is that inflation?
I went into an icecream shop driving through Canal Fulton the other day. A small shake, why its only $4.00. But remember, there is no inflation. I kept saying that as I left with out buying the shake.
Then there is the phone bill. What? Effective Jan. 7th your bill reflects an increase of $2.60 in your Monthly Service charge, no clue why they capitalized monthly and service. So I called and eliminated my call waiting to counter this increase. Call waiting is $8.50 per month so they actually lost $5.90.
Finally one more out of the many examples I can give, back in October I went to the Philippines and it cost about $1,150. Now its over $2,000 for the roundtrip airfare.
But remember folks, the SPINMEISTERS TELL YOU THERE IS NO INFLATION. So I will believe them even though I am paying more for everything, at least I feel better.
Flashback to 2006 Madison, Wisconsin - my account of seeing the capitol
Hey Gang,
Since Madison, Wisconsin has been dominating the news I thought I would dig up an old story and resend it about when Dov, Rich and I were in Madison Wisconsin.
Its a shame from what I heard the Union Thugs and Mob have done to the place. I wonder if its part of the Unions new contract that they have to clean up the place on their time. Now I am really dreaming, it will be us the tax payers paying for it.
Well enjoy this flashback from 206.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Gang,
Its Labor Day weekend, about 2 weeks since the Wisconsin trip and here I am still writing about it. In the last segment I ended it with ...the Man at the bottom of the 14 steps. That man is OJ, his job - greeting people about to walk the last 14 steps to the observation deck and answering questions they may have about the Capitol building of Madison, Wisconsin or anything else you care to ask.

We found out about Madison from Casha the Polish girl who's here on a work visa. None of the locals told us about it. She said you have to go there, its such a beautiful city and surrounded by lakes, the two that surround the downtown area are lake Mendota and Monona. Taking the main road in to downtown you can see a magnificent structure in the distance and as you get closer it gets more impressive.

We parked our car at a meter and after a short walk Dov and Rich headed back to the car bypassing the Capitol building. Not me I had to investigate it and boy am I glad I did. All it took was one quick glance through the massive doors and I was completely wowed. I yelled at Dov & Rich to come on the doors are open but only Rich came. It was kind of funny watching Rich run in, maybe he was concerned with the meter, not sure. Have you ever seen one of those mazes where they let a mouse in, it scurries all over, finds the cheese and heads out another opening? Well that's what Rich looked like.

We walked in together, I went to the right and he went to the left and in a hurry. I stopped and watched him thinking we should be enjoying this together but maybe he knows another way to the top floors. Well I got to the second level and still no Rich. So I said to myself forget him and continued on alone looking in doors and walking every floor. The Supreme Court room was something to behold. It made you feel like you entered something sacred.

You just have to see this building, the large badgers above the arches, the marble floors, even the door knobs were engraved. The dome is the 4th largest in the WORLD! The statue adorning the top of the dome is called Wisconsin and the figures for her are equally as impressive. The gilded bronze statue is 15 feet tall and weighs over 3 tons!

OJ filled me on all this and more. He is an avid collector of old gas station memorabilia and has traveled the fabled route 66 and other routes in search of merchandise, photos and information about them. An upcoming show on PBS wants to interview him and show some of his collection. I didn't take a photo of OJ but he promises me that he will send one of himself and a few of his collection to be placed on www.gogobus.cc. Right OJ, I'm still waiting.

After about a 20 minute or more talk I left to find Rich and Dov. They both jumped at me. I said hey I met this fascinating guy and did you see the Supreme Court Room, the Observation Deck? Rich replied no I went in saw what I wanted to, took a few pictures and left - and what did I tell you Dov why Carey was taking so long, he met someone.

But of course did they expect me not to!

Your Friend Always,
Carey

non-believers, pagans and Mahometans

Many people today have been so confused by the media and revisionist history about America that they fail to recognize that Christianity was a major part of the founding of not only our country but also our government.  And many have bought the lie of separation of church and state, which does not exist; in fact Christianity is interwoven and cannot be separated.

Then there are others who think that religious freedom has to encompass all religions and these other religions not based on Christianity should be involved with our laws and government.  This thinking was evident at a local tea party meeting I attended when it was brought up that because of the many different religions in this area they should be represented.  This is wrong.

While it’s true this country was based on religious freedoms but the religions the founders were talking about were the different branches of Christianity.  If members of other religions not based on Christianity want to speak out about personal freedom or if they believe their religious freedoms are being hampered they have a right but if they want to speak about being involved with our government, laws and changing things they have NO right to do so.

                                            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  Currently I am reading "Essentials in American History" written by Albert Bushnell Hart, c. 1905.  As I always say if you want to really know history read an old history book.
  I am sure we all know the stories of people coming to America for religious freedom; the Quakers, Puritans, Catholics, Episcopalians just to name a few.  There were also many missionaries who came for the sole purpose to preach the Gospel and convert Indians to Christianity.
 But did you know that in the early days of forming America public taxes supported churches?
Page 96 - 97 (paraphrased) ... the Episcopal church was now gaining ground... in Virginia it was the official church supported by public taxation, in the Carolina's and New York it was supported also by voluntary contributions. The Congregational church was supported by public taxation also.  Side by side with the established churches lived many other religious sects. Baptist, Lutherans, Jews....
 During the period of forming our American government there was much arguing back and forth on how it should be done.
Page 210. ... Benjamin Franklin said, "lest our projects will be confounded and we ourselves become a reproach... He moved that the Convention be opened every day with prayer.
 Page 214. In one state convention a member even objected that... if there be no religious test required, pagans, deists, and Mahometans might obtain offices among us and that the senators and representatives might all be pagans.
I could list more but I think these few examples should set the record straight.  People came here to freely practice their Christian faith, to have religious freedom.  Churches were of such importance that they were supported by public taxes.  Meetings were opened with prayer.  And there was a concern that non-believers, pagans and Mahometans could infiltrate our government.  If only the founders could be here today to see how prophetic their concerns and fears were.
                                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 I will leave you with an explanation I wrote some time ago.
The first part of Amendment 1 in the Bill of Rights states:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of;

 Its ludicrous how Judges and other law makers have found a way to pervert the meaning of those words and fooled the people into thinking it means separation of church and state, no where does it even hint at that.  And though those words couldn't possibly be any easier to understand I will simplify it even further to remove any remaining doubt what so ever of the intent of what was written.

   Congress shall make no law, zero, none, NO LAW means NO LAW.

   Respecting, bias, giving favor over another.

   An establishment of religion, that means Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, and so on, NOT God or Jesus Christ.  God and Jesus are not a religion.  A religion is a set of beliefs.  This country was founded on Judeo Christian principles so I did not include Muslim, Buddhism, or other anti Christian religions.

  (or) Prohibiting the free exercise they’re of.  To stop, hinder, interfere with religious practices, whether to pray, read the Bible, display religious signs or any other means of religious expression.

  Now lets take it as a whole one more time:

  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise there of;

 In essence it states Congress (government) can not favor any particular religion or interfere with religion BUT it does not mention in the least bit that religion can not get involved in government.
  I hope this sets the record straight but I know better.

i cant believe this

Every day it seems I get an email or hear news that I just can't believe. The link below is is a story that has me stunned. OUR tax dollars being sent to rebuild mosques!!!

America use to be known for missionary work and sending bibles, now we are sending money to support a false god and religion.

It won't be long before God lifts his hand off America.

I believe Joshua 24:20 supports this.

Do we have a rhino in the house?

House Speaker John Boehner on Meet the Press said Americans have a right to think what they want to think, even when they are wrong about President Barack Obama's citizenship and his religion. He also went on to say That he believes Obama was born in Hawaii and that the president is a Christian, and that those are facts.
Do we have a Rhino in the house?? Or is House Speaker Boehner that naive and uninformed?

Now i am not talking about the issue of whether Obama was born here or in a foreign land, that is open for debate as there is no real evidence one way or the other according to many different news sources. But what isn't open for debate is the FACT that Obama is not a Christian and surely not a man of God. To believe otherwise you yourself must be unaware of what Christianity is or maybe you have been drinking some bad Kool Aid.

It is written judge not lest you be judged. Many people do not understand that phrase and think you can not make a sound judgment on anyone or a lighting bolt will flash from the sky and strike you. Let me explain it this way using the court of law as an example.

We have the judge who did not witness the facts who has to decide on testimony's from witnesses. That is judging, making an opinion on people's words. A person who see's something happen is a witness. Understand?

Now, unless you have been living under a rock we are all witnesses to the fact that Obama is not a Christian. His leadership, his opinions and voting record confirm this. Lets start way back during the campaign season before the '08 presidency. There was a Value Voters debate in September of '07. Obama and all of the other Democratic field of candidates didn't show, in fact they didn't even acknowledge the invite. But Obama did attend the Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Trans-gender debate. What God fearing Christian you know would pass on a Christian based debate but attend one for the LGBT? I can't think of one.

What about pressing to allow Gays to serve openly in the military? Would a true Christian do that? Obama has. What about abortion? What about constantly calling Islam a great religion? What about when Obama said "Ramadan’s rituals are a reminder of the principles Muslims and Christians have in common, including advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings." What true Christian would say such a thing?

The debate whether Obama was born here rages on. But one debate that shouldn't is whether Obama is a Christian, there is enough evidence that shows he isn't.

As for Speaker Boehner, he is either a Rhino or that uninformed. If he's that uniformed he needs to educate himself quickly.

I will leave you with this scripture: Take heed that no one deceives you. Wise up people, there is no need to be ignorant and fooled in this age of information, Obama is not a Christian.

tax and more tax

Cuyahoga County Treasurer,
    I am challenging and requesting the SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS fee be removed.  I do not recall ANY issue being placed on the ballot to vote for a tax increase for a special assessment purpose.

   I have enclosed a check of $1,605.16.  I have deducted this unusual fee, SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS, that has no explanation from my property tax amount and will consider my property tax bill for the year 2011 paid in full.
                                                   Thank You,
                                                 Carey Masci
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That my friends is what I sent to the Cuyahoga County Treasurers Office.  There is no more to give!
  Let me explain, though maybe there isn't any need to as you are probably well aware and in the same predicament as I am.  But I will continue anyway.  I will use my one house that I own in Euclid as an example.
  In 2003 when I bought this little 2 bedroom house it was valued at about $68,000. Property tax under $1,000 per year.  The house was reappraised in 2009 with my insistence that it is worth $61,500, I was told it was probably worth less.  Property tax for 2011 is now at $1,605 which I saved up and paid in full or so I thought.
BUT WAIT... whats this?  Another fee, a SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FEE of $138.16!  No matter how hard you try to keep up its impossible.  This special fee from what I have been told is for the street lights.
Well I say if it is, shut off the street lights! or turn on the lights a hour later and off a hour earlier. or use lower wattage bulbs. or turn off every other street light.  But do not throw another fee at us, a lot of people are barely making basic payments and an economic recovery will NEVER take place as long as you keep taking more and more money from the people..
  This light fee is on top of the trash fee Euclid passed in 2010 of $118.80 per house and the billing for that says pay or this matter will be referred for collection.  But they do allow an easy method of payment, they accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover.  Who cares what interest rate you have or if you are even able to pay your credit card at least you can use it.
 But wait there's more,  the latest... Euclid wants to go back to the ballot box again and plead for more money for the schools.  Won't you help - please we need the money - you don't need to eat - or pay utilities - or fuel your car - its only about $10 per month.
Add up just these three - its $376.96 and that's not counting the HUGE jump of over $600 for the property tax for a small house plus other hidden fee's that bring this total to over a $1,000 per year increase since 2003.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About a month ago on 1100 AM, the Mike Trivisono Show, the topic once again was about Euclid.  This time for the rise of property tax, the highest either in the area or the state, I forgot which.  And once again my phone rang, Did ya here about Euclid....  A 49% increase for property tax in recent years.  I think its way higher, at least by my figures.  This negative publicity does nothing but hurt Euclid and prolongs the recovery, IF it is even ever able to rebound.

And there was more publicity in an article in the News Herald on February 1, 2011.

Euclid Schools seeking 6.9-mill levy

Vasek said that because the levy will take the place of the district's existing 1.8-mill levy, residents would actually pay just under $10 per month.

"We are keenly aware of the financial realities of the members of this community," Smith said. "And we tried to ask for the smallest amount of revenue as possible."

IF Smith was keenly aware of the financial difficulties of the city they would never seek another tax increase!  The people do not have it to give!  This would be close to another $120 per year!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 As I was writing the above an email came in from Bob.  What beautiful timing.
Friends the only advice that I can give and I hope you heed is to please do like I do, try to educate as many people as possible to vote every increase down and vote these people out  who are in favor AND challenge and question every fee that comes your way. DO NOT roll over and play dead.  If you do, its lights out, literally, because the economy will collaspe.  The more the government takes from the people the less there is to spend in the private sector where real job growth and economic recovery occurs which in turn brings in more tax revenue.  Its simple economics 101.
Just heard on the news 261,000 homes across the nation are in foreclosure, the number is actually much higher but there is a backlog of paperwork.
I need to ask this question one more time to any elected official who may be reading this.  I have posed this question many times with no answer except from one who said raise my tenants rent which is not the answer.  The question is:  The city is broke because the people are broke but you expect broke people to pay more to bail out the city.  Where do you want us to get the money?
How many of you actually sat through the whole State of the Union Address?
How many of you actually sat through the whole State of the Union Address? After what I saw during the Arizona Memorial I had a hard time bringing myself to watch the entire address though I did read it.
During the Arizona Memorial a friend had called telling me he was watching it to turn it on. I said I was avoiding it, how bad is it? He said not that bad. So I turned the TV on just in time to see Mr. GQ go up to speak. I am not sure what my friend was watching but I was appalled. Our arrogant President (remember when he called America arrogant?) had his chin in the air and his smirk was almost to the point of a smile. Who cares what words he spoke his mannerisms told a different story, did he forget this wasn't about him? He never once tried to quiet the crowd from applauding him.
So when President Obama and President Hu Jintao of China held their conference I steered clear of it. A friend lambasted me for not watching it as much as I am into politics. Well let me explain it this way... do you really believe a communist? C'mon! And Obama? Yeah right. This scripture came to mind..Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? China is just interested in getting its debt we owe returned to them and manufacturing more products for us, that's it, don't be fooled. When China exonerates the protesters and acknowledges what happened during the Tienanmen Square incident that's when I'll take notice. As for Obama, the list is long of what he has to do to gain my respect.
I remember when Slick Willy use to speak I couldn't help but hear the song by Boy George Chameleon. With Obama I hear the song by the Rolling Stones Harlem Shuffle. For those of you who don't remember the opening lines it goes:
You move it to the left
And you go for yourself
You move it to the right
Yeah if it takes all night
That's what ran through my mind You move it to the left - You move it to the right, but guess what? It's not fooling me. Obama is all left and says he is moving to the right but he isn't. But even if Obama is moderating, his right is still far left and if Conservatives want to pass anything they will have to play on Obama's playground using his rules or the veto will come down. It doesn't sound to me like he is ready to work with the Republicans at all.
Besides that observation most of the State of the Union Address sounded very familiar. So I went back to my article I wrote about last years adress. I wrote it in detail and could of almost just changed a few things and the date and you would of never known. One of the similarities between last years speech and this years is Obama is still proudly supporting the acceptance of homosexuals - whoop de do!, this really helps our nation and brings us all closer together while solving the economic crisis.
Two other things I like to point out. The first, Obama acknowledged the computer and how its changed things. I mentioned this many times how the Internet has damaged many businesses and altered our economy but the left never wanted to admit this, it was all Bush's fault. But in reality I guess we should be blaming EGore, after all he did invent the Internet.
And my last point, last year Obama said in the address that he wanted to open off shore drilling, while this year he wants to end oil subsidies while pushing for the electric car. Soon we won't be blaming big oil for all our problems it will be big electric.
In conclusion I heard a lot of left right left right left right talk.  I think the Rolling Stones should redo The Harlem Shuffle with a new video showing Obama speaking.
After all....
He moves it to the left
And you go for yourself
He moves it to the right
Yeah if it takes all night
A look back at an article I wrote from 2006
The House voted to raise the minimum wage to $7.25 per hour in the next 3 years but the Senate rejected it. We can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Before you get upset let me explain it this way.... What are You willing to pay for a burger at your favorite fast food establishment? $3, $4, $5, $6 or more? IF the minimum wage gets raised so will EVERYTHING else!!
Its dumb for me to even have to explain this but minimum wage will never over take the higher paying jobs!
Minimum wage will never be enough to raise a family on which was one of the arguments used to raise it.
Should someone in high school or anyone else for that matter make that much working at an entry level position? Of course not.
The only winner here is the government, higher prices more tax revenue.
If you really want this economy to take off and control inflation lower the wage or keep it as is and let the market dictate whats paid.
By raising the minimum wage all it does is decrease the value of the dollar even more.
As much as I didn't want the minimum wage raised there was other issues attached that also didn't pass which is unfortunate. The others were, a permanent cut in the estate tax and extend tax breaks for business research, college tuition and state sales tax.
The Democrats complained that the Republicans played politics by attaching other bills to the minimum wage raise and should of had a straight up and down vote instead. Though that may be true, the Republicans were still willing to compromise but the Democrats not willing to allow tax breaks defeated the wage hike.
Just remember this when you go to the polls in November.
U.S. poisoning us?
Carey,
  Have you heard about this? Don’t know if it’s true or not, but that’s the basis of why I refuse to take a flu shot
 I am not sure what to make of this, I do know Russia has had the technology for years to seed clouds and disburse them for their communist day parade to insure the weather is right.  This is just one article of the many about this topic
And something is going on with the massive bird and fish kills going on all around the globe.
My friend James just sent me this link about HAARP which manipulates the weather.
The one scripture that comes to my mind is:
"And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the Elect's sake those days shall be shortened"
(Matthew 24:22).
 Could we be heading there?
Another email I received concerning the shooting in Arizona
Another email I received concerning the shooting in Arizona.
This one came from a friend who forwarded a posting from her friend of what he had on his Face Book page. In so many words it blames people like Glen Beck for the shooters rampage.
He wrote:
The most succinct comparison I have heard on the matter is that the flu bug takes out the weak people first. When you create a climate of violent talk, when you fill the airwaves with chatter about "enemies of the state" and "second amendment solutions," the sane people among us will take it for what it is: entertainment at best, vote-grabbing nonsense at worst. But it should come as no surprise when some nutjob hears it as a call to action and acts accordingly.
I presume that Glenn Beck will come on the radio and TV tomorrow and will state that he does not condone violence of any sort. Maybe he'll even cry a little. But then he'll launch right back into his moneymaking talk that some lone nut out there will see as a call to action. I'm sorry, but the man has blood on his hands.
Don't get me wrong: there are just as many nutjobs on the fringes of the left as there are on the fringes of the right. For every AR-15 toting Tea Bagger who takes the Gadsden Flag just a little too far, there’s an owl-loving, bomb-making Weatherman type on the left. But Glenn Beck's speaking to the ones on the right, and any action that they take in response to his callings is readably foreseeable.
At the end of the day, the only ones out there who can bring about a cessation to Glenn Beck’s violent rants are his fans. If his followers would simply tell him to take a chill pill, and tone it down a few notches, we’d all be better for it. A little more panic to help Goldline's sales and a little less coded calls for violent action.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This man must live in a bubble, a warm and fuzzy bubble.

What I try to tell these people over and over again without success is what does Glenn Beck or others like him have to do with the erosion of freedoms America is facing? They are just the messengers.

Is Glenn Beck, Rush, Sarah Palin, and others like them, responsible for the devaluing of our dollar? Run away debt? Inflation? Joblessness? People losing their homes?

Or what about other issues such as failing to protect our boarders and yet we as citizens have to get passports? The removal of crosses even at sites that honor vets? Forcing the homosexual lifestyle upon us? Mandatory house inspections such as in Euclid where they issue warrants if you do not allow them?

Or how about something like the freeway walls that are making people feel trapped and boxed in?

I could go on and on with serious issues facing America that are giving people the sense of hopelessness. Did Glenn Beck or the others create any of these? Of course not.

Maybe I am wrong, but to me Glenn Beck is an opportunist. He reminds me of the fake healing Evangelists who didn't live the lifestyle or believe in God as they preached. Did people get healed and saved at these revivals? Yes, but it was the words of the message not the messenger who did the work.

Is Glenns message right on? YES! Does he speak the truth about the consequences America is facing if we don't change our ways? YES!

But all Glenn Beck is is just a mouth piece for the people. You can shut him up but Americas problems won't go away and people will still be on the verge of revolt or they will take matters into their own hands and do senseless things. That's what hopelessness breeds, the messengers.... they just tell it like it is.

Is this karma?

A day after LeBron Tweets:

“Crazy. Karma is a b——.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!”

This happens:

LeBron James sprained his left ankle on Wednesday night and says he will decide Thursday if he will play in Miami’s game at Denver.

Is this Karma?

Its starting - added comments

Friends,
As we go back and forth issues warnings of whom will be blamed lets keep in mind the people who had their lives cut short. I know I had to check myself and put things in perspective as I immediately upon hearing the news emailed everyone warning what was to come without truly thinking on the lose of life.

So lets not be like the Liberal/Socialist/Democrats whom seem to have pushed aside the real horror and are doing much finger pointing ready to pounce on this opportunity to implement their agenda. Lets be aware but lets not forget the real tragedy. Sad!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Continuing on.....
Right after I emailed everyone in my contacts I received replies. These are the comments:
Are you aware that Congresswoman Giffords was a Blue Dog democrat, and not a bleeding heart liberal like Pelosi? Did you know Giffords voted against Pelosi becoming minority speaker? The kid was 22. What the HELL is in a 22 year old kid's mind that makes it "understandable" to commit this action? Explain this to me. (name withheld)
OK I will explain!
NO HOPE! That is what is understandable.
Have we not removed God from everything? Have we not created class warfare? Have we not created a dependence on government? Have we not preached gloom and doom with the green movement that says the sky is falling? Have we not made our country unstable with little in the way of economic hope for the future? Have we not screwed with peoples minds with going against the laws of nature by promoting homosexuality?
And do we know that this lady was shot because she was a Democrat or was she shot from a socialist nutcase because she was not liberal enough?
I understand this and it is only the beginning. And again the media will blame Christian Conservatives, get ready for it. Read history and about Hitler, we have seen this before.
Follow? Or should I go on?
ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS FROM MY EMAIL CONTACTS.
Do we know that the assassin is not a communist who was upset that Congresswoman Giffords, who is being described as a 'moderate' or 'Blue Dog' Democrat, was not supporting Obama's communist policies completely enough? Or that he was not a programmed, mind-controlled government agent whose action was designed to further restrict our God-given rights, especially those guaranteed by the First and Second amendments? Or that the powers that be wanted her dead for some unexplained reason? She was reported dead by several networks before a correction was made.
Also, don't call him crazy. His attorneys could use such allegations to avoid the death penalty.
Carey - I believe the motive has a 50/50 chance of being either by a socialist who believed she was too moderate and being by someone who was against illegal immigration (which we should be against it) but for all the wrong reasons. Perhaps it was the context in which you used the word "understandable" that confused me. Given all of the criteria that you've listed, it is "understandable" or rather, comprehendable that something like this could happen. When you remove God from the schools, you remove conscience from the schools. I understand that. What I don't find "understandable" is how a 22 year old is arrogant enough to think he has suffered enough that could even remotely warrant shooting a bunch of people in cold blood. Giffords is Pro-2nd Amendment, and she herself owns a 9mm glock which she didn't think she would need to bring to a local gathering. Thanks to this NUTCASE, one of the few democratic allies that the 2nd amendment had is either going to have too much brain damage to be a supporter anymore or will be scared into changing her stance on the 2nd amendment entirely. Stupid people are the reasons why there are warning labels on everything. And dangerous and reckless people are the reasons why politicians think that some liberties must be infringed upon.
I believe in freedom, too, Carey. But all to often, we forget that true freedom is only possible in a moral society, as one of our founders (I forget which one) so eloquently opined. The liberals and socialists are a large part of why morality was purged from the schools, and thereby, freedom. Whether it was a deranged perversion of a conservative or whether it was a fabian socialist, either one should be prosecuted. Unfortunately, AZ no longer has the death penalty, because in this case, I think they should have kept it. I do not believe that this was a random act. I believe there was a definitive purpose and motive, to kill Giffords and to take some of her supporters and/or constituents with her. Maybe some of the people shot weren't even people who voted for her, but instead people who wanted her to listen. I suspect both left and right wingers were killed in this act.
just in - its starting
I forgot to post this so doing it now.
I wrote this immediately after finding out about the shooting, Saturday, January 8, 2011 4:21 PM
The facts are still coming out but its starting. I do not condone this type of action but I do understand it. People are frustrated and worried about their country, personal freedoms and finances and this type of violence may be the first with more to come. Keep an eye on the reports coming out as I am sure they will spin this as Right Wing Conservative Fanatics spawned by the evil Tea Parties.
The loss of American Independence! NE Ohio/Pa beware
Friends,
This was sent to me by Bernie who is keeping tabs on this regionalism issue. REGIONALISM IS BAD! Another socialist term for spreading the wealth. They have chased our jobs away and now they want to leach onto each other thinking they can save money and share. Its like hooking up an IV to a dead person only to drain the living.
Read this one sentence I copied from the attachment:
Speak to NE Ohio/NW Pennsylvania/Mahoning Valley Region as One Voice in Terms of Land Use
Where this goes who knows, less land and property rights for you? More than likely.
Here is the second round of Ashtabula county planning Commissioners proposal on collaboration of Economic Development program! I call it Sustainable Development, where the Governing Bodies of Ashtabula County are talked into a Regional Ideology hoping for prosperity for their regions, what they do not understand is this Regional Initiative will only prevent the citizens of their communities the right to have any say of who controls these programs, the decisions will be made by Private / Public Partnership committee people! The next thing for these Regionalist is to destroy the Constitution of this United States!
