Another election and more disappointments.

Hey Gang,
My Sabbatical has ended. I just needed a break. I always need breaks. When you go full steam ahead with so many irons in the fire it wears you down. So I lay low for a bit and reappear.

I know I sound like a broken record but I have at least 4 articles started in my draft folder. I should finish them, even the one about the Euclid Tea Party. It still makes for good reading and is informative.

But right now lets quickly ramble through a few things. Another election and more disappointments. It seems the Tea Parties created a stir but were more like flat pop parties as they fizzled. All our involvement, at least in Ohio, seems to went for naught. Seth Morgan and Sandy O'Brien went down to defeat and so many levies and tax increases passed. I dont understand this.

I discussed this with a friend and we went back and forth. She said it comes down to money to combat the mailers put out by the party. Yes I agree BUT I still don't see how the Tea Party candidates didn't win. I know personally 6 people I swayed to vote for certain candidates and who knows how many other friends and acquaintances I informed that didn't tell me how they voted. Somehow the Tea Party people must not of reached out enough. The crowds were huge at some rally's and just about every town or city had one. Seth Morgan and Sandy O'Brien should of done way better than 35% of the vote they each received. Something went wrong.

As for the tax increases, why do people keep giving their money away? When are we going to hold our elected officials accountable? We have budgets to keep. And quite a few of us right now are barely working and those working full time the raises are coming very slowly if they even come. Elected officials need to do the same. But they won't as long as we keep giving them money. This isn't the end of it, they will be back.

Take Euclid for instance. In the last year, a school levy passed, garbage and light fee's were added, property taxes up, rental fee's up and now a library levy passed. What are people thinking? Sure you may be able to go to the library to take a cookbook out but some of us would just like a meal to cook. Where will this end? You just can't keep raising fee's. It lowers the dollar and obviously people will have less money to spend in the market place where real job creation happens. I have been holding the fort with the rent on my rentals. I don't believe in raising rent on my tenants especially when both are what a landlord dreams of. But somethings got to give.

I still haven't given up though. I am still fighting. I am helping out with at least 3 campaigns, I will be trained on getting the health care petition circulated and the most exciting being on the committee to help the campaigns in Lake County. Soooo if you have ANY issue, for or against something, a question, something you want repealed, something you want passed let me know. I can make sure it gets to the right person. Thats how the American process should work.

The Tea Parties may of failed in getting certain candidates elected BUT they succeeded in their voice being heard. I still have hopes that this election in November can revert the thinking back to sound fiscal and moral thinking. I would even put raising taxes in the realm of morals. All the corruption in Cuyahoga County is a moral issue. Where corruption exists money is squandered and fee's get raised to pay for a bankrupt system.

Getting back to Euclid. Have all the residents in Euclid just given up and want communism so they don't have to vote or participate in the government? Or don't voters educate themselves before voting? How can issues like 26 and 27 pass? Now if you want to pull a petition to remove an official you will need 25% of the previous general election voters instead of 15%. And 27 you now need a "Declaration of Intent" to recall an elected official and only have 45 days to gather signatures. Before there was no declaration needed and no time limit.

Pure insanity. America is voting herself right into full blown socialism.

Lastly Gwen wrote and said she missed my travel stories of the people I meet and fondly remembers the story I wrote of the cat in Texas. Well Gwen dear, I also sadly miss writing about fun times. I miss being out on the road meeting people. I miss my travel lifestyle. Plain and simple I can no longer afford it. It makes me very upset, depressed. And yet when a path is opened to change things back to better times we keep voting for what got us in this mess.

Disturbing!

A word from Tony Hocevar - The debt and other issues

Currently, the U.S. Debt is estimated at: $12,278,635,997,966

Your share of today's public debt is: $39,934.67

The State of Ohio no longer provides the good government we all expect. It has become a pension plan provider, health administrator and insurance agent for government employees (Folks, this includes teachers). Its education system is in decline. It is a babysitter for the unmotivated student and money trough for entitlement seekers. Government is in the protection racket. It has become a bank, with no vault, that doesn't understand basic accounting principals. Where are the leaders for sensible governance in Ohio? Our community keeps voting the same way for people with the same philosophies, but we expect different results - look where that has gotten us today. Let the old Democratic Party ideas die off as the Democrat leaders (that's a misnomer) exit stage left.

Euclid is at it again

All, especially Euclid Ohio residents:
 *In 2007 Euclid city council went to staggered terms.

 *In 2009 they extended their terms to 4 years, before it was have 2 year terms. The
word did not get out about the issue because of the absence of a local newspaper and the fact that voters did not know exactly what this meant.

 Now this election issues 26 and 27 are and the ballot with confusing wording to some
who don't know any better.

*Issue 26 would require that if one wishes to pull a petition to remove a official they would have to get 25% of the previous general election voters. Currently it is only 15% needed.

*Issue 27 would require that if a petition is pulled to remove a official a "Declaration of Intent" for the removal will need to be filed and one would only have 45 days to gather signatures. Currently there is no time limit for the gathering of signatures.

The Charter Review Commission is in charge of the wording of the ballot!!! The Mayor personally hand picks the City Charter and it was proposed by them. A petition was NOT pulled by a resident to have issues 26 and 27 placed on the ballot. This does nothing but
protect the council members and does nothing for the city's residents. Those
who vote for this will just be throwing their voting rights away.

Euclid is being over run by socialists and it is becoming a Oligarchy. The residents are trapped in the city. They can not sell their homes due to building regulations and a competing $1 a home HUD program in which the city can snatch up homes for $1.00, fix, sell, and undercut residents trying to sell.

AND DON'T BE FOOLISH AND THINK THIS IS ONLY EUCLID!  THIS THINKING IS GOING ON ALL OVER THE PLACE, ONCE ONE CITY DOES THIS OTHERS WILL BE SOON TO FOLLOW!!!

In Euclid VOTE NO! on issues 26 and 27!

 PLEASE pass this on!!!!

Islam religion of peace??

Islam religion of peace?? I chat on the computer with a friend in the Philippines and another in Indonesia. They both tell me the problems they have with the Muslims. I have been warned not to go to Zamboanga City in the Philippines because of the Muslim threat.
Thats why I keep telling people even if you are not religious you better protect Christianity because anytime something is removed it creates a vacuum and it will be replaced by something else. In this case either communism or the conquest by radical Muslims will fill the void when Christianity is silenced.
Make sure you look at the second link. Can you imagine in WWII if we weren't allowed to talk bad about Nazism? We are at war because of Islam and Franklin Graham is going to be silenced because of what he said?
Crazy!!
CKM

We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in the Philippines because of the high threat of terrorist attack and the high level of serious crime.
Pay close attention to your personal security at all times and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
Terrorist attacks could occur at any time, anywhere in the Philippines, including in Manila.
Is this what we want in the US?

NATIONAL TEA PARTY Berea Ohio

Tea Parties are so unlike what the liberal media portray. YES the crowds are angry and want to take back the country but its not the kind of anger or hatred that one needs to be fearful of.
I encouraged my friend to bring his children with him to the National Tea Party in Berea last Sunday so they could witness history but his wife was concerned if their kids would be safe. For the same reason I couldn't even begin to sway a few other friends. They think Tea Parties are attended by nothing but dangerous right wing wacko's. They base all their opinions on listening to the media or a photo of a sign rather than attend one of these meetings to find out for themselves how safe, patriotic and friendly they are. These same people vote without taking the time to see the other side, how can they make an informative decision?

Tea Party One - National Tea Party in Berea.
The set up:

It was an event that I wish my family and more of my friends would of attended. The weather threatened with rain early on but then cleared and was near perfect. I drove the GoGo Bus. The parking staff gave me carte blanche treatment and had me park it right in front of the entrance.
Our enthusiasm and excitement was high not knowing what to expect and how big of a crowd would gather. We arrived early while booths were still setting up and then the fairgrounds started to fill. It was a decent sized crowd but smaller than I expected.
The atmosphere was almost fair like. People walking around, greeting each other, going from booth to booth or stand to stand. Most people had some sort of sign. Some signs were hokey and almost like something you would see at a sporting event. I understand how humor can be used to stress a point but some signs made you feel that these people didn't truly understand the seriousness of the event.
They had a smaller stage set up instead of using the grandstands.

Lasting Impression:
Two speakers really stuck out and made the biggest impact. Senator Tim Grendell and Coach Dave Daubenmire running for congress.
Senator Grendell was his usual self. Some speakers make you feel good but you walk away feeling yeah right he's just saying that to get elected but not with Senator Tim Grendell. He has a track record to back up his words. He has taken on many fights and won. Grendell personifies the Tea Party movement.

Coach Dave was so fired up and vocal it gave me goosebumps. I could just imagine Coach Dave being in charge of a large battalion. He spoke of the time he was arrested for giving water to a dieing person in Florida, that person was Terry Schiavo. He talked about when he was sued by the ACLU for praying with his football team in London, Ohio. His righteous anger and energy is sorely needed in Washington.
The rest of the speakers were good but their names or words didn't stick with me as did Grendell and Daubenmire.

Candidates and Causes:
The booths and stands set up were for candidates and causes with just a few selling things. Mike Guiterez and Pastor Cohen were passing out literature to fight human trafficking in Ohio, SB.235. Another stand had petitions to get on the ballot the repeal of the death tax. I didn't pay to much attention to other issues as I was more interested in speaking with the candidates.

Of the candidates, besides Coach Dave, two impressed me. They were W. Benjamin Franklin and Scott Rupert.
W. Franklin is an author of children's books one of which has a political theme. He is running against Corrigan in the Republican primary and the winner takes on Kucinich in November. Corrigan has the backing of the Republican Party. Ben Franklin is going at it alone, all alone. He has a couple of friends but for the most part he is running his own campaign and doing what he can. Ben impressed me. All he had was a table and a couple of jugs of fruit drink he was passing out in small cups. This is about as grass roots as you can get. I liked him.

Another candidate that impressed me was Scott Rupert. Scott has never ran for office, never held any political position. He is a truck driver. I asked him why does he qualify? He said I read the constitution and I can't possibly do worse than those elected now. Scott has a point. If you are looking for an independent candidate, one who knows what its like to be a common working man, Scotts your choice. I feel he has enough common sense and street smarts to make a difference.

The Arrival - The tea party bus:
I've attended other Tea Parties but never the National so I wasn't sure what all the noise was about concerning the arrival of the Bus. It ran late but they kept giving updates that it was getting close. The Tea Party Bus had the entertainers/national speakers of the movement. Comedians Victoria Jackson (Saturday Night Live) and Jim Labriola (Home Improvement) were some of the bigger known names.
I am not sure what to make of the tour bus. IF this was the original intent of the Tea Party movement to have known acts and entertainers to spread the word then they are doing their job. IF these Conservative entertainers are the counterpart to the Hollywood Left then I can go along with it. But IF they were just added to make money and to commercialize the event then its wrong and will kill the movement.
They had their faces on the back of the bus, one of which is of Sarah Palin. Seeing her face didn't excite me at all. Campaigning for McCain has damaged her with the Conservative cause.

Summary:
I have mixed thoughts. I thought the location was wrong. Unless you knew the event was going on outsiders could never hear the message. Its these people we want to reach.
A lot of the people in attendance are already actively involved. Almost like preaching to the choir. BUT on the other hand an event like this helps candidates, activists and people who sincerely want to get involved network, promote ideas, get out information, and strategize. Its an excellent opportunity for that.

I thought the first half of the event was much better with local candidates speaking. It was more sincere and they had no strings attached, they spoke from the heart, real grass roots. The National Tea Party entertainers/speakers were entertaining and got out a good message, it might not appease the real political junkies but it could attract the general public, lets hope they are sincere.

In all, I though it was fun, very informative, safe and made me feel proud to be an American.

10% of Cleveland Schools' Teachers laid off

AND THE BEAT GOES ON....
Just remember this come November what the Dems did to Cuyahoga County. Dave Macko, State Rep hopeful, may be right when he says he wants to abolish property tax. Most of it goes to the schools. If people keep their tax dollar they can educate their children by other means rather than a broken public school system.

words to atheists and democrats

I had a conversation today with a friend about the Euclid Tea Party.

He said a few people thought there were to many preachers and not enough politicians.
I said I disagree you can not separate politics from religion, its impossible and if you do,
you get communism.
My friend said well Euclid has a Buddhist church do we invite them to speak also?
I said absolutely not. This country was founded on Christian principles. The founding churches in America were Purritans, Quakers, Catholic, Lutherans to name a few. Other religions can coexist peacefully in America but our doctrines and policies should never be changed to accept their view. PERIOD!

mini-funk

Hey Gang,
I am in a creative and expressive mini-funk. I have so many articles and thoughts rambling in my brain but just can't get motivated. Some of you may be asking yourself what, you just sent a few? But with me I can usually write at least one lengthy article a day so to me its a writing funk.
I know I shouldn't feel like this as things with Euclid are in check, business has improved somewhat over last year, and the excitement of being at the Tea Party on Sunday with another coming up is still fresh. And yet just can't get started.
Maybe its overload with so much going on with our country, the high price of gas that will again hinder me from traveling this year and maybe also the arguing with my Democratic friends who refuse to educate themselves on what is happening here in America. It saddens me when I can't make inroads into their thinking. Hello people, I am going to keep saying it and saying it, over and over again, a warrant was put out and I got arrested for having a nephew stay in my empty rental in Euclid. If this isn't a warning sign to everyone then what is?
When I get like this I never know how long the blockage will last. Hopefully this short outburst will help me get over the hurdle. So until then read these fairly recent chats I had. I think you will find them informative.

This is a chat I had with a long time friend who is a VP for a small community bank. She is concerned about Obama's proposed financial reform. She wrote previously her thoughts of the bank bailout which is posted on my blog.

XXXX(2010-04-04 5:11:23:PM): it is difficult for me to judge as i sometimes feel like i live in a bubble, i am a divorcing mother of three with a really good job with really good health benefits. I personally have not been adversly affected by this administration thus far, however
Carey Masci (2010-04-04 5:11:34:PM): ok
XXXX (2010-04-04 5:11:55:PM): if the financial reform obama is pushing for is passed as it is written community banks will once again pay for the sins of the non-bank financial institutions who crippled this economy

I have computer friends over seas that I have been chatting with for years. Before this mess I was quite proud of America, I would send them things and encourage them to try and visit. But the last few years I have been quiet, I try to steer away from political talk and about the US for many reasons, the unemployment, everything made in China, the demise of the American car, the homo agenda, what happened to me in Euclid just to name a few. Here are a few lines from a chat with my Filipina friend. What led to this was her talking about the value of the US dollar.
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:20:17:AM): our president is a very evil person
xxxx (2010-03-21 6:20:42:AM): now they know who they voted
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:20:49:AM): i didnt i can not vote for an unGodly man
xxxx (2010-03-21 6:20:57:AM): i knew
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:21:04:AM): really you followed the election
xxxx(2010-03-21 6:21:23:AM): not really
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:21:24:AM): how did you know
xxxx(2010-03-21 6:21:44:AM): some said
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:21:50:AM): like who your preacher
xxxx (2010-03-21 6:22:11:AM): some school board member church elder
Carey Masci (2010-03-21 6:22:25:AM): i am embarrassed of my leader
xxxx (2010-03-21 6:22:35:AM): well sometimes people need to learn from their mistakes next time they should be careful whom to vote for

I hope she is right that people have learned from their mistakes.

judge tells residents to arm themselves

Its getting interesting folks! Quite a few cities are cutting back on law enforcement. It does have its good points but we don't live in Utopia.
Carey K. Masci
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ashtabula County Common Pleas Judge Alfred Mackey was asked what residents should do to protect themselves and their families with the severe cutback in law enforcement.
“Arm themselves,” the judge said. ”Be very careful, be vigilant, get in touch with your neighbors, because we’re going to have to look after each other.”
An email to my democratic friend
Friends,
An email I sent to a friend, only the name was changed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jane Doe,
I am waving the white flag. All this back and forth is totally non-productive for both of us.
I quit sending you emails for awhile but then when Euclid started up on me and I was on the radio I resumed. I thought for sure you would want to know what was going on. Also, that was my biggest defense BLASTING OUT EMAIL AFTER EMAIL TO LET EVERYONE KNOW in hopes that one of them would land on the right desk.

I am sure you would agree that high gas prices are killing us, I am sure you would agree something needs to be done with job loss, I am sure you would agree and are against Ohio state parks charging entrance fee's, I am sure you would agree with the illegal alien mess and every time you call anywhere it says press one for English, I am sure you would agree its wrong to use your money to help someone pay for an abortion, and I am sure you would agree with this gay agenda being forced on us.
Those are just a few of the major issues facing this country. I am sure you would agree something needs to be done.

I have been at this just about my whole life reading and studying politics. I see what is happening to our country. Try to buy something made in America, almost impossible. Cities are completely run down. THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of houses in foreclosure. RULES AND MORE RULES AND MORE LAWS passed just about daily. Your friend here, Carey, sat in jail because he had a nephew living in his house. Is this the America you want?

As for our different religious beliefs where you believe in the phrase separation of church and state, that doesn't exist. BUT in your defense and in the defense of religion, the America of years ago, both ideologies coexisted peacefully. I don't know of any true believer that will force their beliefs on you as well as you shouldn't force us to take down crosses or other such practices that violate freedom of faith.
Christianity's basis is one of tolerance, preach the gospel and if people don't accept it move on. Most true Christians I know fight things with their vote, informing others and legal protests. ALL very American principles. You get rid of the tolerance and loving nature of the Gospel and America turns into a very evil place where none of those attributes exist. Ask someone who lives in a Muslim or a Communist country if they enjoy the freedoms we do.

So just remember I send you emails and inform you of what is happening to OUR country not to win an argument or to prove that I am right but to save this nation from further ruin.

Its up to you if you want to continue if not I wave the white flag. Nothing is accomplished by arguing.

Sincerely Your Friend,
Carey

Ohio's Auditor of State one of the campaigns I will be helping

Carey,
Thank you!!!

I have been very good/best friends with Seth Morgan and his wife Debra for over 10 years. During that time we have attended the same church and I can attest to both his and Debra’s true faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. ( as well as my own )

Prayer has been an very important part of every campaign he has run.
We pray before meetings, before events, before walking door to door.
One of my most memorable times is the night before the Nov ’06 election when Seth was running for County Auditor when our campaign team gathered at Seth and Debra’s house for pizza and prayer. And although we lost the race the peace in our hearts was overwhelming and we knew it was of course the Lord’s will.

I say all this to tell you…he is the real thing. I have witnessed his struggles as the Lord uses him to stand for what is right in this lost world and in the corrupt government. He is truly a missionary to the people he works with every day. We need more men like Seth Morgan!

Thank you for your prayers and for spreading the word. I look forward to working with you side by side both in this campaign and in The Kingdom!

Whats in the healthcare bill is just now starting to be revealed. A government take over of student loans came to light and now a Ready Reserve Corps!
Whenever I have questions on anything military-wise I turn to Wayne and Vince. Good friends who served during the Nam era. They are frequently on Capitol Hill stumping for vet rights. I asked Vince and Wayne to help decipher the below provision.
PLEASE READ IT.
Get ready folks something awful scary is going on. Could these troops be used to squelch the Tea Party movement????

When Vince and Wayne report back in will let you know asap their finding.

Birther news you missed & CIA Columbia Obama Treason Trial

Friends,
On March 18th in the Cleveland Plain Dealer there was a small article that I am sure you missed. Again an article of importance is pushed to the middle pages, The title: 'Birther' proponent's sanctions upheld. I am going to paraphrase again. The article says that a California lawyer, Orly Taitz, must pay $20,000 in sanctions US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled. In the two page decision the appeals court states that after considering Taitz arguments we find them unpersuasive and therefore affirm the district courts sanctions. Taitz's appeal stems from Capt. Connie Rhodes who argued that Obama's presidency is not legitimate and that she shouldn't be deployed.

OK, do you see the red flag? The word is unpersuasive. The court found Taitz's arguments unpersuasive. Not lacking evidence, not because of faulty information, unpersuasive. This to me is worrisome. Could it be the court was biased? Why won't a court let this go to full trial???

Play this clip for the latest attempt to bring Obama's illegitimate presidency to trial.

Seth Morgan

Praying friends,
I had the pleasure of meeting Seth Morgan last night at a candidates forum held at the Lake County GOP headquarters in Painesville, Ohio.
Seth Morgan is running for state auditor for Ohio. I heard from others that Seth is very solid in his Christian beliefs. I spoke with Seth very briefly and told him if I could be of any help please let me know.
Well this evening I received an email to sign up to volunteer for his campaign. There was a list of about 15 duties, to name a few, placing yard signs, making phone calls and whats that? Prayer team? Prayer team for a state auditors race. I was impressed.
It is this kind of principled person we need to get elected in all offices if we hope to turn this country around.
So I am asking my praying friends to do just that, pray for Seth Morgan's campaign that he will be successful and a beacon of light to the state of Ohio which needs it badly.

Carey says Democrats will win in November

The picture is getting clearer to me and I see the Democrats winning in November. No someone didn't slip a mickey in my coffee.
This is like a chess match and the Dems moved pieces into play right under our nose that almost puts us in checkmate. In the wee hours of Sunday morning I sent out an email titled Healthcare from Hell - America is at war inside the US. Hate to blow my own horn but little did I know how perfect the timing and right on I was.
In that email I lined up the facts of far greater importance than healthcare was the issue of illegal aliens and the war on the Texas boarder. Well some of you may not even be aware because most of us were consumed with the healthcare bill and almost all news stations were covering it but there was a quick blip about another rally going on in Washington DC Sunday. A rally of thousands of illegal immigrants demanding rights and amnesty. And then it came together. The reason so many Dems voted for the healthcare bill is because they have nothing to fear, they have troops in reserve. Illegal aliens!!!
Brilliant timing for who ever organized the rally for amnesty. Do you see where I am going with this? Obama's next huge undertaking that will be pushed through is - amnesty. And once the illegals are given citizenship, they will register as Democrats and those votes will keep Obama and the rest of the Socialists in power. Brilliant strategy. Right out of the Clinton playbook.
For those who may not remember Slick Willy and Gore tampered with the naturalization process and was lax with many of the INS rules. This was to help President Clinton in the November election. That administration as well as the current one will do anything for self gain and to push this country into full blown socialism. And as it happened in '96 where criminals and others who should never been allowed to stay were granted citizenship it will happen again. History does repeat itself and I am sad to say sooner then I thought.
Look out for this next battle, amnesty. If we don't stop it, Obama will go unchecked for two full terms with Dems in control and then its lights out America.

Healthcare from Hell, America is at War

Hope I'm not sued by AC/DC

Healthcare from Hell
No stop signs, speed limits
No Repub's gonna slow me down
If you're older you will die
The unborn they can't hide
Hey Satan hear my plea
I am pushing health care and it aint gonna be free
Cause I'm pushing health care from hell
Health care from hell

Most of our elected officials are DELUSIONAL. I have to add so is the public who refuse to inform themselves before voting. Now we are faced with a full frontal assault on our very foundation of liberty and people are freaking and for good reason. Mandatory healthcare = SOCIALISM and it doesn't have to be.
Before trying to solve any problem you need to DEFINE THE PROBLEM. With healthcare/insurance you need to look at the numbers very carefully of how many are uninsured. From there you break it down further. There are three basic groups who don't have health insurance, people who choose not to carry it, those who can't afford it and illegal aliens. Two out of three of these groups should NOT be in the equation.
So the first step you start with is an illegal immigration bill to remove illegals from this country. That would stop a lot of the drain on our health care in more ways than one. Again, until that first step or problem is solved you do not move on.

To lend more credence to the above was a small article in the middle pages of the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Thursday March 18 of a far greater issue facing America then health care reform.
The title: TEXAS SENATORS WANT BOARDER ACTION.
Paraphrasing. Texas senators urged President Obama to visit the Mexican boarder and assess the threat that drug-cartel violence could spill into the US. Our boarder patrol agents and local law enforcement are regularly engaged with gunmen. They want the President to craft a concrete plan to address the increasing violence and provide senators a classified intelligence briefing on whether the wave of cartel killings poses a threat to the safety of other Americans and to our overall national security.

THIS IS WHERE OBAMA SHOULD BE, NOT BRIBING POLITICIANS TO TAKE OVER OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM.

Think of Israel and how they handle things. Do you think they would allow their safety forces to be shot upon? WAKE UP AMERICA! A foreign nation is shooting at us. This is an act of war!!!! And yet our beloved congress has had all their time consumed with healthcare.

If all that ain't enough to convince you that Obama's madness needs to stop then how about this very simple reason, America is BROKE. By pushing for more government spending it could bring us to the brink of complete financial collapse. If our nation goes under how are you going to have any form of healthcare?

odds and ends from Carey

Washington DC has allowed same sex marriage. In recognition of this they are changing the name. It will now be known as Washington AC-DC.
For those of you who don't know, AC-DC is slang for people who go both ways, capeesh?

A recent headline from Yahoo news
Unemployment rises in 30 states in January.

Is this the We're the people meeting? Yes. Well we're the people.

Harry Reid is pushing hard for more highway funds to stimulate jobs growth. This is old thinking in a new era. Back in the depression roads and highways were part of the American dream. Dreams of two cars in every garage, dreams of traveling, roadside diners, motels, hotels, America was a nation on the move. Now, who can afford the gas to drive? The Dems won't let us drill for oil, gas is going up but our roads will be nice. Maybe the Chinese need them when they come over with their tanks to take land for the debt we owe.

Since August '09, Sen. Ted Kennedy dies from brain cancer - Rep. Murtha dies from complications of gall bladder surgery - Harry Reid's wife and daughter in a serious car crash. All liberal Democrats involved in scandals, unGodly policies or both. God's judgment?

Cindy R's. words of wisdom
Carey: The truth shall set you free. Cindy: Well not all the time. If you commit murder and admit to it, it won't set you free, you will be put to death.

News from Millard
Because of Kentucky budget deficit they are talking about only having school 3 days a week. It would save $30 million a year.

Taken from the We the People (Akron group) email
Lent is when we begin a 40 day period of prayer, fasting and penance in commemoration of the sacrifice of Christ; that sacrifice being his passion and death, for our redemption.
May you use this time wisely for your own edification, for it is the perfect opportunity for use to reform at least one of our vices or bad habits. Is it a coincidence that Psychologist's now tell use that it takes four to six weeks of abstinence
to throw off a bad habit, and at the same time, preferably, to replace it with a good one? And when we make this sacrifice for God, not just for our-self, it takes on a whole new dimension and significance. Because we do it not just to take control over our-self but to become better, more like him.

Submit to authority but what about our government?
The real question is, what do we do to make the government follow Romans 13 by submitting to the Constitution?

UFO's Over Euclid

Aww yes, if video camera's in pencil sharpeners in city hall, arresting people for having a family member stay in their vacant house, street light fee's, 1,000 empty houses, scandals with housing inspectors, a woman killing a doe with a shovel weren't enough Euclid now has UFO's hovering off shore. What next a plague of frogs??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enrvQ_78glA

Mayor Cervenik has been exonerated. He said I told you people weren't leaving because of our bad and inept laws, the empty houses are caused by alien abductions.

Euclid council is busy trying to figure out what to do if the UFO lands. They're debating if they should call the military or just send out their housing inspectors.

Euclid's new ordinance. All alien space crafts that land in the city of Euclid may be no greater than 30 foot in circumference, have no more than 15 revolving lights, must have proof of insurance, can not park on any side street, may not carry any lazar guns within 500 yards of a school zone, must apply for an over night visa, must...............

UFO's appear over Euclid. Carey's cry for help finally heard.

What were my thoughts about being on Breakdown Radio WELW

Quite a few have been asking well what did you think, do you think it went OK (being on Breakdown radio WELW 1330 am)? Some of you I have answered already but for the rest here's my take. Mike didn't have a long lead in, it was BAM right into my situation. I started of with a few stumbles but think I steadied myself enough. I listened to it a few times since then and think I did a better job of bridging thoughts.
The hosts, Mike & Josh, were challenging and were not completely one sided with me. They were balanced and honest. I am pretty harsh with criticism of myself and always think I could have done better but for the most part I believe it went quite well. I told my folks really though it's not how I think it went but how the audience perceived it. And judging from the positive feedback it was successful.
Mike as well Dov and I have been going back and forth on the trouble I find myself in with Euclid. They agree the laws Euclid has set forth are wrong and anti business but ultimately they think it's my fault for not researching or going along with the rules since they have been on the books. After thinking this over YES I concede they are right. As the saying goes buyer beware and I believe it can apply here. BUT you have to give me this, the first house I bought was in '93, you cannot even begin to compare then to now. There was NO need to really look into ordinances. In fact I paid to have the house inspected not really knowing back then what to look for. Euclid was no where to be found and so I bought my second house thinking things were the same.
The most important thing that I hope we don't lose sight of is this, America is in deep trouble friends. DEEP TROUBLE! Whether the rules were on the books and I didn't research them this is just wrong that any level of government can take that much control over someone's property. And two years of fighting this and trying to rally support from elected officials and the populace has really got me no where. Euclid keeps on coming and coming and coming with no let up. As I said on the show, a very simple explanation from Bill O'Reilly of what Socialism is - Socialism is when the government takes control over property and commerce. Thats what we need to keep in mind. Thats why we are attending the Tea Parties. Thats why people are protesting. Thats why you are seeing a resurgence of people looking at the Constitution. This problem I have with Euclid really involves all of us, whether you see it that way or not. IF they can come after me and demand entry or jail time some other city or our federal government can come after you.
And as Mike said this does give me a testimony not only when we reach conclusion which ever way it may go but also for warning people to look into the laws and don't take anything for granted.
This is not the America we use to know - no one is safe.

Are the tea parties biblical? WELW 1330 am THE BREAKDOWN WITH MIKE AND JOSH

Friends,
I was involved in an challenging debate following last Saturdays airing of Break Down Radio. A listener of the show said he didn't want to upset me but felt I was doing wrong by fighting Euclid because the Bible says to submit to authority.
This led to a back and forth that had no end in sight. The other questions raised in our discussion were:
What is our role as Christians in government?
What does it mean to submit to authority?
Do we just go along or fight back as I am doing?
If the state is forcing us to disobey God's commandments and/or principals then should we submit to government?
And - Are the tea parties biblical?

This Saturday March 13th at 2 pm EST tune in to WELW 1330 am when Mike & Josh Breakdown these questions with Pastor Cohen and Carey.

For those out of the listening area log on the computer and chat with us or send a question or comment.

bailouts for the corrupt. more woes for euclid

Friends,
Please check out these links. PLEASE!
The first is about Cuyahoga County that has led the nation in foreclosures. Even though I am against ANY money to bail out this corrupt area, its no surprise that Nevada, home of Vegas that Obama slammed is amongst the 5 states to receive Federal funds. The reason, Obama wants to help Harry Reid get reelected.
As for the bottom link its about Euclid. Shut the whole city down! Mayor Cervenik callously told me to run my business better when I came to him for help. Now he is crying we don't have money. OH WELL! Mayor run "YOUR" business better.
Read my opinions on both links. And please do the right thing, many of you said you wanted to help, well call and call and write to city halls, elected officials and tell them NO to bail out money, quit wasting our tax dollars for corrupt cities and also intrusive housing laws that violate rights. And remind them what Euclid is doing to your friend Carey.

News-Herald Article:

This is so crazy. Just about daily I get some sort of update about Euclid. I get a call from a friend at work, quick turn on 1100 they are talking about Euclid - another call at work HEY DID YOU HEAR EUCLID WANTS TO LAY OFF 10 POLICE OFFICERS - I find a news paper on my windshield while my van was parked in my drive, Carey read this, about Euclid. On and On it goes.

Keep it up friends, something has to change, March 12 is my summons.

Here there and a word from NY

Currently Nissan also has a big recall. Nissans could lose their brakes and they have a faulty fuel gauge that shows you have gas when in fact it's close to empty. Though unlike Toyotas that kept on running, with Nissan when you loose your brakes just remember don't panic, more than likely you're about to run out of gas.

So you want socialized medicine? In Great Britain they have refused to cover the expense of 700 people with a rare blood cancer citing that it would be way to expensive. Wonderful huh?

Bill O'Reilly's short definition of what socialism is. Socialism is when the government takes control over property and commerce. Tell me if that sounds like Euclid's government.

eBay to politics.
I sold a Ziggy trash can to a lady in NY. I apologized to her for being late with the shipping. I explained that my time has been consumed with this situation with Euclid.
She responded back with this: Hi Carey, how's it going ? i just got done reading the article you sent me to read, and it sounds just like our governor here in new york state. Same crap, i also own a a couple of homes, and one in buffalo, where the garbage, and water fee are 180.00 every 3 months, and they want to tax everything out here. They should put a tax on toilet paper, and we can all take a s__t for them. This is why i am doing all sorts of odd jobs right now... to keep up. Hope all is well, and let me know how its going
with ziggy. Thanks a bunch, Laura

Two more days until my summons with Euclid. As the pastor prayed on for me on Break Down radio I believe some how this will all work out. The bible says when you've done all stand. Well I still have at least four more hands to play. I am not conceding or standing until I have done exactly what the Bible says - ALL.

carey's humorous and serious thoughts

I've received that email that's been circulating of President Obama with his feet up on the desk. That made me think of President Reagan who had so much respect that he would never take off his suit jacket while in the Oval Office. At least you can say this about President Obama, he didn't remove his pants like Slick Willy.

Another disheartening fact. 30% of our food will be imported by 2012. Now heres the irony. Our government is so concerned about our health and the environment that they have very stringent controls that its now cheaper to import our food where there is much less to no regulations in foreign countries. So we go from one extreme to another.

Tourism is down in the US but up in many other countries. We are even losing our tourist industry.

The Chilean quake was so strong that the earth shifted on its axis and shortened the day. The length of the day lost about 1.26 microseconds. Well that explains why I wasn't able to accomplish everything today.

Apple Computers have been repeatedly criticised for using factories that use child labor and abuse workers. Their motto at the factories - An Apple a day keeps the whips away.

A couple of thoughts about the Olympics. It may seem like they sort of contradict each other and maybe they do.
The first thought is about America's medal count. We won the most medals - 37 total. BUT we did not win the most gold. Canada set a record with 14, Germany had 10 and we tied Norway with 9. This made me think of this Socialist move in America where everyone is equal. More moderation instead of excelling. We best regain our personal freedoms that encourage greatness as the rest of the world is starting to pass us by.
The other thought.
I watched the closing ceremonies. Players of the different countries paraded around proudly representing their homeland. And then they showed America and the different races and nationalities that made up our teem. It just hit me that even though we have serious problems in this country, this is what makes our country so great. As different as we all our when we come together we can accomplish great things.

News about Euclid

Friends,
Ahh yes, finally Euclid is getting some airtime. I have been plugging away and waiting for this.
And guess who helped spread the news of what is going on in the city? Why it was none
other than Euclid and the Mayor himself with his latest proposals of trash pick up and
street light fees! Yes, you read it correctly, STREET LIGHT FEES! How much
more can the people put up with this nonsense.
Rich called from work and said hurry put on 1100 am the Mike Trivisono Show they are talking about Euclid. What advertising! Sadly I missed the first part but this is what I
heard.
Chuck Galletti, who was sitting in for Triv, made this statement to Mayor Cervenek. -
What people are against is once a fee or tax is put in place its never removed. The Mayor
responded Thats not necessarily true, they can always be reduced. Excuse me, reduced
is not the same as being removed.
He also went on to say remember when you went for a walk during the summer and
how nice it was, think about the service and recreation. Chuck said recreation, Euclid already
got rid of their fireworks.
The Mayor also said he will not get rid of inspections. You just had to hear it. It was terrible PR and did nothing to change the image of Euclid.
Euclid is also exploring the use of street light cameras. The fight is on. Groups are already
aligning themselves to fight this.
Maryanne Petranek, who ran for city council in Cleveland, called before the mayor went on
and tried to make a point of cities are taking enough in from property tax. I understood
what she said, the poor host Chuck didn't get it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Maryanne emailed me with this....
On Saturday, we are letting Cuyahoga County know that we are taking back our
government and they will either represent us or be thrown out of office.
We need to take care of local issues and get these deadbeats out of office.
When I heard Mayor Bill Cervenik say Euclid would charge people for streetlights,
I couldn’t believe my ears.
And also this......
I just wanted to let everyone know that the Cuyahoga County for Liberty event, The Power of Coalitions, is this coming Saturday, February 6, 2010 from noon-4:00PM.
The event made it to the front page of the Plain Dealer today
http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/02/more_communities_considering_t.html
and it will be covered by Channel 19 at 4:30PM this afternoon, Wednesday, February 3, 2010. I was interviewed at my home this afternoon regarding Jason Gloyd, from COAST in Cincinnati . Jason has caused quite a stir in Ohio with his organization’s ability to identify an issue and win at the polls. In particular, Jason and I will be sitting down this Saturday to discuss putting red light cameras on the ballot for the people to decide whether they want them or not. They kept them out of Cincinnati and many other communities across Ohio .
Cuyahoga County for Liberty ’s phone has been ringing all morning with individuals offering their support for a petition drive.
The Plain Dealer and Channel 19 are both scheduled to be at the event on Saturday.
I hope many of you can come to this free event on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you there.
Look for us on facebook---The Power of Coalitions!
Cleveland and Cuyahoga receive yet another award
Ahhh yess you have to love this, the awards for Cleveland keep on rolling in. And in and in. Thank goodness for these worst lists as Cleveland gets to be honored for something. And yet has things changed or are they changing? NOPE! Most of Cuyahoga is still doing the same ole same ole.
Look at Euclid. No matter how much you point out these statistics they won't bend the rules and become resident or landlord friendly. And so the beat goes on and on and on as more and more are driven out and away or locked up and put away.
Maybe they want a ghost town? Then again not even ghost's like taxes and regulations and fee's and jail time.
In fact I heard even with all the empty houses in Euclid none are haunted! You need to file to have a haunting permit. Not many ghosts are willing to pay that.
http://realestate.yahoo.com/promo/americas-most-miserable-cities-2010
News you may of missed
The first day of the trip was all politics. Obama campaigned Thursday for Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado in Denver, then held a $1 million fundraiser for Democrats in Las Vegas. Reid is one of Obama's allies, despite a flap over the president's tendency to refer to Las Vegas as a symbol of imprudent spending, which has the city's mayor fuming at the president.
OK this story just kills me. Ummm didn't Obama blast Vegas and now he is campaigning for someone over there? BUT wait did you catch the best line in the story?? Let me drag it over here from up top. president's tendency to refer to Las Vegas as a symbol of imprudent spending That is hilarious. Maybe if Ron Paul would of said it it would make sense. This guy is a ship wreck.
First Lady Michelle Obama was on the Huckabee show talking about childhood obesity and how we can correct it by special diets. I think she should start with her husbands spending and put that on a diet.
Really to me its a waste of time her initiative. The way Obama is running this country we won't need diets. We won't have enough money for food.
Eighty-six percent of people questioned say that the system of government is broken. Where did they get this figure? I know if you ask people in Euclid that number would be way to low.
In the world of sports
Baseball announced it will ban deadly weapons from the clubhouse. My question is... Does this include baseball bats?
EGore has been preaching again that if we don't do something about global warming the Winter Olympics will not be around in a thousand years.
2 more weeks until my court summons with Euclid. Its almost my anniversary with them. May 2008 is when their harassment started. My does time fly and Euclid still hasn't found better things to do like find buyers for all those empty houses. There an old saying, If it works don't fix it. I think someone should tell Euclid because they think its, If its broken don't fix it.
And thats a wrap.
Carey's Official Announcement
Hey Gang,
Some of you know this already but this is the official announcement, I am now on the radio, another oportunity I am relishing in.
The show is BREAKDOWN RADIO with Mike (Gutierrez) and Josh (Guzik), and every other week Mike Pelsozy comes on with local news and political updates. It airs every Saturday from 2 to 3 pm on WELW 1330 am.
I have been asked before to come on radio shows, the first time by Bishop Davis way back, but each time turned it down from fright. Not wanting to let another opportunity pass I pushed myself into going.
The first visit I was so nervous. Mike asked did I want to speak and I quickly said OH NO, let me sit and watch. The second time I showed up I was thinking to myself I can do this, no one can see me, what's to worry. And then Mike makes the announcement "And for those of you with a computer you can watch us online." I was just gathering my confidence and then I had to hear that. The first three shows all I said were a few sentences and thats it.
For those of you who have never done something like this its very intimidating and not as easy as it looks. It takes timing and quick thinking. Watching from the sidelines and doing it are completely different. Mike and Josh have very good chemistry and they keep the current flowing. Mike kept telling me you want to say something just jump in. When I did have a thought and tried to get it out they had already moved on.
The show is Christian/Conservative talk and has four things going for it, random topics, its lively, informative, and slightly controversial. Someone called and said we were an embarrassment to the Republican party. It was either a Democratic plant or a Republican who was stunned by the forthright honesty. We don't favor anyone.
Mike Gutierez, besides having a terrific radio voice, is extremely gifted and quite natural behind the mic as he is also in person giving speeches. He has the knack of continuing to speak while thinking of the next topic or thought. He never pauses or says ummm or ahhh as so many do. Mike can be talking about politics and then slide right into talking about God without you even realizing the transition. Josh Guzic is equally as quick witted with his added comments and thoughts. As for Mike Pelsozy he is in your face and animated. He gives you your medicine whether you like it or not.
As for myself, I don't know how long this stint will be but even if I just sit in and give an occasional absolutely or amen I am enjoying it.
I know I am still very green but kind of embarrassed that I haven't shaken the nerves completely and still stumble. Mike has pitched a few softballs to me and I don't feel I capitalized enough. February 6 Mike did a review of my take on the state of the union address and tried to plug my writings. When asked where they can be read I couldn't remember my own blog and I didn't even think of plugging the GoGo Bus site.
And last week I had a super opportunity to really expose Euclid when Mike got to talking about Cleveland being the most miserable city. I cut in with what Euclid is doing to me. I got to wound up, to nervous and don't think I bridged the topics enough. I did mange to get some thoughts out and the person manning the sound board cut in and said he knows all to well what Euclid is doing.
Give the show a listen. I may not say to much as I am still learning but most importantly its another wonderful experience that I can say HEY I DID IT!
This posting really jumps around
This posting really jumps around.
H1N1?
What happened to the scare and hype concerning the H1N1? What did I tell you? When all the fear was circulating I kept saying it coincidences with the hype surrounding the health care bill. It was preparing peoples minds to think of health issues and what if I get sick? It seems to be a rather mild year for the flu. No schools have shut down as in previous years. But lets hope the Obama healthcare shuts down.
A sneeze or was she calling someone
I was at the Asian food store Park and Shop in Cleveland Tuesday. It is so amazing their language. Its hard to describe, it almost makes you crazy when you are in a room with all of them talking at once. This one lady I thought was calling her son but I saw her blow her nose. So it must of been achoo I heard not ah choo.
Going out on a limb here
I know we are three years away before the next presidential election so file this one away for future reference. The way the Dems are bailing out could this doom Obama from being a 2 term president? I am not meaning by being defeated by a Republican candidate, which is also very possible, but by someone inside the ranks of the Democratic Party. I don't think I can ever remember a presidency as this. If it gets much worse, heres my going out on a limb, I predict that Hillary will ride to the rescue to unify the party and challenge him. Pat Buchanan did it against President Bush Sr. which weakened his presidency and invigorated the Conservatives, Hillary can do the same for the Democrats and liberals. She has a big enough ego and the party and Dems still like her. BUT Obama has an even bigger ego and would fight it tooth and nail. But its my prediction so Republicans be prepared.
I know some of you won't agree with this but I got to thinking of how Teddy Kennedy died of brain cancer and Murtha died pfrom gall bladder surgery. This verse came to mind: Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. Face it, the Liberal policies are far from Godly. Jesus came to set the captives free and they want to put us back into bondage.
Value Time
I recently bought a jar of tomato sauce and corn bread muffins made by Value Time. When in a hurry I buy any cheap jar sauce and doctor it. You know, brown meat, Italian seasonings, wine etc.... But this jar from Value Time was the pits. I wasted a good pork chop on it. No matter how much seasonings I added it still tasted like bad ketchup. The cornbread muffins were OK but the package only made 5. 5? I never heard of anything coming in 5 other than the Jackson's. Maybe thats why it was so cheap they left out one.
Cleveland is the Polka capital
I was invited to the Polka Hall of Fame in Euclid by Cecilia Dolgan this evening. They were opening a new exhibit in honor of Johnny Vadnal. I did work for Cecelia which came as a referral through her sister in law which came through Angelos Beauty salon that I maintain. The last time I was at Cecilia's we were talking about Cleveland and Polka groups of the past. She was modest and didn't speak much of herself. I went home and did some research on her and realized she is very prominent in the Cleveland Polka scene and has cut 10 records, one of which is in my record collection, its titled Cecilia sings in Polka Town U.S.A. made back in the 60's. Do a search for it online. Maybe no big deal to you but I like connections like that.
Euclid
Mayor Cervenek of Euclid wants to charge for trash removal, street light fee's and instal red light and speed cameras to balance the budget. When I asked him how can I pay for Euclid's demands he said run my business better. I got it!!!! I will charge my tenants a porch light fee, instal a camera in the house and every time they run down the hall charge them. By the way Euclid has issued a new summons. Stay tuned I will be needing ALL of you again real soon to get the word out if I go back to jail.
Hope you enjoyed this and found it informative.
Euclid in the news again, pencil sharpeners this time
Cleveland topped another list for worst cities. This one for weather. The good news though is that Cleveland is still considered a city.
Euclid wants to instal red lights camera's. As a pilot program they have installed them in pencil sharpeners. Hmmmm, maybe the real point of the story is the city needs to be led. Think about that for a second, its puny.
http://www.woio.com/Global/story.asp?S=11958476
Seriously though, how many more scandals and bad policies can a city endure. Its almost weekly that Euclid is in the paper, radio or tv. I am telling you, white flight and foreclosures are only part of the problem.
Carey's political humor for February 2010
What does Toyota and Obama have in common?
There's no stopping a Toyota and theres no stopping Obama from spending.
Due to extreme cold and snow, EGore announced his calculations were off.
Global warming doesn't start until next year.
Washington DC has received so much snow that the government shutdown.
Finally Congress can experience what they have given us for years... a snow job.
Sarah Palin got caught with a cheat sheet written on her hand.
But nobody bothered to check Senator John Edward's hand for girls phone numbers.
Really though whats the big deal? Sarah had a few words scribbled on her hand and Obama
uses a TelePrompTer. Tell me whats the difference?
The city of Euclid announced it will charge residents a street light fee. I say shut them off.
Lets light candles and hold a vigil.
Euclid also wants to charge residents a trash fee. I am against that also.
We need the trash to burn for heat since we can't afford utilities because of taxes and fees.
Euclid could become known as the city of drive-bys. They want to instal traffic cameras
to raise revenue. If they do instead of driving through Euclid people will just... drive by.
A Closer Look at the State of the Union 2010
Its been a week since the State of the Union Address but it is still very important to take a closer look at it. What I am worried about is that President Obama will tone down his positions and sound more of a moderate until after the elections, and the Tea Party and populist anger will subside or possibly abandon their cause and will be willing to give him and the Democratic party another chance. We can not let this happen, America can not afford a two term presidency from this man. We must unite and fight back against socialism on all levels.
I also wanted to be fair in my review and as unbiased as possible about the State of the Union Address so I did not read or view any commentaries. I was not able to watch the speech but did read it twice, line by line and slowly. The first time I did it seemed it was OK but there were a few red flags. The second time I read it the faults and inaccuracies really jumped out. I encourage you to read it.
So instead of giving yet another review of how good or bad it was I am going to hi-light paragraphs that showcase how much of a socialist, globalist and liar President Obama is. There is possibly other paragraphs or phrases you could pick out but these are the ones that bothered me the most.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taken from the State of the Union 2010
But to create more of these clean energy jobs, we need more production, more efficiency, more incentives. And that means building a new generation of safe, clean nuclear power plants in this country. It means making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development.
Red flag number 1! Don't believe him. CNN Sun August 3, 2008. "When I'm president, I intend to keep in place the moratorium here in Florida and around the country that prevents oil companies from drilling off Florida's coasts," Obama told reporters in Jacksonville in late June.
Obama campaigned against McCain with the opposite stance of opening up areas for oil exploration. Oil prices have been steadily rising once again. He has had a whole year to reverse the ban and hasn't done it. Now we are suppose to believe him?

Red Flag number 2 It means continued investment in advanced biofuels and clean coal technologies. And, yes, it means passing a comprehensive energy and climate bill with incentives that will finally make clean energy the profitable kind of energy in America

If this alludes to the Cap & Trade legislation be worried, very worried. A quote from Senator Voinovich ....if this would pass there would be pocket-numbing decreases in household incomes

Red Flag number 3.
Third, we need to export more of our goods. Because the more products we make and sell to other countries, the more jobs we support right here in America. So tonight, we set a new goal: We will double our exports over the next five years, an increase that will support 2 million jobs in America. To help meet this goal, we're launching a national export initiative that will help farmers and small businesses increase their exports, and reform export controls consistent with national security.

The first problem we have is what does America make that we can export? The other point is why are we so worried about exporting? Why not build it here and buy our own products? Why don't we rescind some of these trade deals that dump cheap and dangerous imports on our shores? You want to help farmers, stop food from entering made in China. This is nothing more than globalism!

And that's why we'll continue to shape a Doha trade agreement that opens global markets, and why we will strengthen our trade relations in Asia and with key partners like South Korea and Panama and Colombia.
Key partners like Panama and Colombia? Obama was against trade with Panama because of being known as a tax haven for corporations. In fact Obama cosponsored a bill with Sen. Carl Levin and Sen. Norm Coleman titled The Stop Tax Haven Abuse Act which has Panama listed.
And.... From the CFR website: In a March 2008 speech, Obama has also criticized the U.S.-South Korea FTA, which he said is "bad for American workers." The deal "would give Korean exports essentially unfettered access to the U.S. markets.
Now he wants to trade with S. Korea. Which Obama do we believe?

Part 2 next posting.

some current event thoughts - some past event thoughts

Toyota has been known for cars that run and run and run. Lately they have really proven that by building cars that do indeed keep on running and running and running, the gas pedal gets stuck. They first blamed car mats and then driver error. DRIVER ERROR? How do you blame people for sticking gas pedals? You got to have extremely fat feet for that to happen. 2.3 million cars will be recalled and 8 car lines will be shut down until a remedy is found. I have a remedy! Buy American.

President Obama has called for a spending freeze for two years. Isn't that like an alcoholic saying he is going to quit drinking for two years?

I really don't know what made me think of this because I really hate the singing of Bruce Springsteen. But I got to thinking of the irony of his concerts he put on for President Obama. The man who sold millions of copies of "Born in the USA" sang for a president that we really don't know if he was born in the USA.

As the title of this email says these are random thoughts. What I find so extremely crazy about the attempted bombing on Christmas day in Detroit is that Detroit has one of the largest Arab/Muslim settlements. So why would these radical Muslims want to bomb an area that they have settled in? Home sweet home.

The recent Supreme Court ruling has struck down some of the provisions of the McCain-Feingold law in the name of free speech. Now corporations and other groups can spend more money prior to an election.
I still don't understand how spending more money equals free speech.

So you are badly in debt. What you bring in is not nearly enough. You probably won't pay off what you owe. You go to the bank and ask to raise your credit limit? What do you think they will say?
Congress is asking to raise the US debt ceiling beyond 12 trillion dollars. Do understand where I am going with this?

Take a bow but don't relax

Well Brown has won the senate seat as I thought he would. Now lets dice it and slice it a bit.
First I want everyone who has been involved in any tea party event, protest, letter writing campaign to take a bow.. It is this sort of action that is starting to ignite and inform America of what is going on. Without this kind of effort Obama and the Liberal Commies would already have us in lockdown. Thank you. BUT lets not get complacent and think the fight is over. OH NO. This war is ongoing and I feel won't go away. We are in a fight not only for our individual freedom but also for our country. Evil never sleeps.
As much as this was a very important victory we need to keep things in perspective. Please keep in mind the newly elected Senator Brown is more of a moderate. But I guess in a liberal state like Massachusetts and taking over a seat once held by one of the most liberal senators ever it is a step in the right direction. We now need to keep an eye on Brown and make sure he adheres to his campaign promises.
What I am worried about is what happened back in the 90's when the Republicans were gaining in numbers could happen again. Most on the right side thought it was great the suden surge and growth. But it was because of Slick Willy and all his misdeeds that caused politicians to move to the right or join the Republicans back then. They were riding the wave of the populist angst and the disgust of the Conservative right as we are now. And what happened? The Conservative movement that Reagan spawned gave way to moderates. And what did moderates give us? Arlene Specter, John McCain to name just two. So we need to reorganize and as we gain in numbers lets be careful who we allow in. More moderation or pseudo Republicans will doom the momentum the Conservatives are now showing and allow the Left to stay in power or grow even stronger.
So enjoy this victory but lets get back to work!

Thoughts about Haiti - written 1-15-10

Funny that Evangelist Pat Robertson said what he did as I was going to write something very similar. For those who missed it Pat said (paraphrased) "Haiti's problems stem from the pact they made with the devil." I myself can believe such a thing could happen.
I would like to see the figures of the worst disasters, manmade or natural, and see how many occured in pagan or unGodly cities and/or nations. We know about the many earth quakes in San Francisco, Katrina in New Orleans, Indonesia and the tsumani, NY and 911 and now Haiti. Makes one wonder. And I keep saying the next inline for something major is Vegas.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Haiti has a population of 9 million.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though Haiti is heavily Catholic, she still holds onto her pagan beliefs. A large percentage still believe in or practice Voodoo right alongside their Christian faith.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pres. Obama has pledged 100 million dollars towards the relief effort of Haiti, a figure that will be sure to grow over the year.
What should the US do? Do we send them money? Do we just let them be? The country for so many years has been corrupt. What is the right thing to do?
I am not sure but this I do know. President Obama bailed out the auto and bank industry and is demanding payback or heavy taxes and fines. Now the US is about to help another country. I wasn't all for these bailouts but since we did we should be placing the same payback demands on countries that get aid from us.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please understand I am all for donating and if you feel like doing it thats great. But this should be an individuals choice, not the role of the government. Especially when we are TRILLIONS in debt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If I heard correctly this is a figure thats hard to believe. The US has already generated $500 million for Haiti, China $1 million.
The Massachusetts Senate Election
Massachusetts.
Unless you have turned off all media you should be aware of the Senate race in Massachusetts for the seat left vacant by Sen. Ted Kennedy. Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Martha Coakley are in a tight race. BUT did you know that there is a third candidate running? Joe Kennedy, no relationship to the liberal Kennedy clan, The Tea Party Candidate as his website calls him.
Its quite sad that most haven't even heard of him. I watched the debate on C Span and didn't realize Joe was even involved because most of the questions asked were directed at Scott and Martha. When Joe was asked a question it was "Of the two candidates which one do you agree with the most?" What an insult.
Until we can treat a third party candidate with respect and give equal time we are going to get more of the same. I understand you can't give equal time to everyone running, as in California's governors race where you had a prostitute and a naked man amongst others campaigning, BUT in a three person race it can and should be done.
Either way, this does show an anti-Obama and anti-Washington race as its two against one. Republican Scott Brown and Independent Joe Kennedy both oppose the health care and the direction America is heading versus Democrat Martha Coakley who is for health care and the Democratic agenda.
This is a bellwether not only for the upcoming elections in the fall but also Obama's presidency. If Martha wins its all hands on deck and lets push through healthcare and whatever else tax or program President Obama wants. There's no stopping them. If Scott Brown or Joe Kennedy win look out its going to be a stampede from Democrats to distance themselves from Obama so they can stand a chance of being reelected.
In my opinion I believe Scott Brown will win and even though he is more of a moderate Republican, if he does this could be such a strong shot across the bow by taking a seat held for some many years by an extremely liberal Democrat that Republicans could sweep the upcoming elections and make a Obama a one term lame duck president.
IRS to Regulate Tax Prep in 2011
I copied this from my Auctiva account. More ways big daddy government will watch and tax you. I put in bold print a few sentences of importance and in italics are my comments.
IRS to Regulate Tax Prep in 2011
The move dovetails with a new requirement to report online income.
by Auctiva.com staff writer - Jan 06, 2010
After conducting several studies to determine whether tax preparers were doing people's taxes properly, the IRS announced Monday it will begin regulating tax preparation next year to ensure taxpayers get adequate service—and don't lose money in fines or overpayments.
Changes will begin in the 2011 tax year. Those who want to prepare taxes for others come tax season will have to pay the IRS a registration fee, pass a competency test and spend at least 15 hours a year learning the latest on tax law. Currently, few states monitor tax preparation and there are no federal requirements to be a tax preparer.
Officials called out the tendency of some preparers to exclude "other income" from their clients' tax returns. That issue will be partially addressed starting this year. Electronic-payment processors such as PayPal and credit card companies will have to report merchant sales if they surpass $20,000 a year, or if a seller receives more than 200 payments in a year. (don't be fooled, its $20,000 now, once they get their hands on it they will lower it each year until even a dollar made will be taxed)
The lack of regulation may be costing taxpayers money every year, as recent studies show. In 2006, Government Accountability Office employees visited 19 tax-prep businesses to get their taxes done. All 19 businesses made mistakes on income-tax returns, and only two "arrived at the correct bottom line," according to reports. In a 2008 test, 17 out of 28 of those tested made mistakes. Officials also said many of the complaints the IRS received in 2008 concerned fines taxpayers were responsible for because of mistakes by tax preparers. So instead of going to a flat tax, a fair tax, or lowering and simplifying they will come up with more rules and regulations and complicate the system even more.
"In most states you need a license to cut someone's hair," IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman says. "Most tax-returns preparers don't have to meet any standards when they sit down and prepare federal tax return for an American taxpayer."
Major tax-prep chains H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt say they support the new regulations, and that their companies' requirements surpass what the federal government will impose. Of course they support it, more money for them. Taxing is big business at the expense of the average person.
