America a Nation of Slobs.

 Carey's Rant for Today:

America has become a nation of slobs.

Most of the time I go out to eat, I question my decision.

Many servers are sloppily dressed and look dirty, wearing t-shirts or even street clothes that you don't know if they slept in, worked in the yard, or what.

In the Philippines, a supposed third-world country, in most restaurants, the workers dress nicely and cleanly, wear uniforms, and are happy to have a job.

I looked through this 1979 catalog I have, and yes, America did dress like this. I'm not saying we need to go back to this hokey look but come on, at least take a shower and dress properly before serving my food.

Thoughts on choosing Pope Leo

I forgot to post this on my blog. Immediately after the Conclave chose Pope Leo this came to me which I posted on FaceBook,

Time will tell as it always does.

So now we will see how this new American pope works out.

If he is a social justice warrior leaning left, he may have been chosen to combat and undermine Trump's right turn.

A way to get Catholics back to a Democratic mind set.
