car talk n more

Car Talk
I went to the Cleveland Auto show and once again was disappointed by the American showing. Fewer and fewer models while the foreign cars are having bigger displays and more options of cars. Ford did have the best and seemed to offer the most of the domestic autos.
America now has one minivan, the Dodge. That's it. What is the small business suppose to do, a full size van is to large for a lot of companies. So we may be forced to buy a foreign vehicle.
Interesting tidbit. The Volkswagen van the Routan is actually the Dodge Caravan with WW badges and trim.
I was also saddened to see an iconic image of pop culture America, Superman, applied to a model of Kia. The special edition Kia was all laid out with decals and was drawing a large crowd of young people around it.
What is Cadillac thinking? Thay are clueless with their design. Cadillac now has a sportwagon? What a joke. They have totally ruined their image.
Buick is another company to me that has lost their way and doesn't have much to offer.
As I was sitting waiting for someone a gentleman came up and sat next to me. We struck up a conversation about the auto show. He said the best American cars were coming from Ford even though he hates to admit this because he works at the Chevy plant but his personal favorite is Toyota. Confusing to say the least.
I wrote this before I went to the auto show.
America gets the cutesy Ford Transport from its European division which was delayed a few years while they cleaned up the emissions to meet US air standards. But what did the Japanese send here? The HUGE Nissan NV.
America is shrinking the size of its cars and the amount of different vehicles while the foreign cars are growing larger and quickly filling the gaps left behind of niche vehicles America no longer produces. I first saw the NV in the Philippines and said if this ever comes to the US lookout. It will hasten the demise of the American auto manufacturer.
Onto other topics
I was watching CCTV the Chinese network and two Chinese analysts were going back and forth about China's economy. One analyst was saying China shouldn't worry America needs its cheap labor and will continue to buy from China. The other analyst kept insisting China should worry as America is re-industrializing. Finally the moderator stepped in and said we will have to leave it there.
Go Home
An Israeli was asked his thoughts about Obamas visit to Israel. He said If he thinks he is going to come here and dictate to us security and make peace with the Palestinians – STAY HOME.
Raise here and there and everywhere Check your land line bill if you still have one. Mine was raised $1.25 per month. My auto insurance jumped $75 for bare bones coverage and I have excellent credit and driving record. It may not seem like a lot but that is another 8 bucks per month gone and couple that with all the other nickle and dime increases it amounts to substantial increase in expenditures per month that you can't do without. I will some how argue and fight the insurance increase.

That's all,

dronDrones, one more look at Cruz, RINO Portman and more

Amazing.
Obama is considering arming the Syrian rebels while he wants to disarm us. How many countries have we armed that turned on us?

Korean War part II? American troops are on stand by as North Korea makes threats.

Confusion as in the time of Babel
In the story of the tower of Babel the people were unified in building a tower to the heavens. The people were placing themselves above God thinking they could do anything. God confused their language and the people gave up and scattered. Are we in that same frame of mind today with man thinking we can do anything? Look at the computer of what it can accomplish. Then look around you at all the confusion and friction amongst each other and within the different countries and nations of the world. In spite of all this increase in knowledge everyone is running around trying to figure out what to do while things get worse. No one is in agreement and many are just plain confused.

Drones
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution

This oath has little merit with the capabilities of the drone. Look out! Or should I say LOOK UP!

Governor Perry at CPAC take a bow, someone speaks the truth
"The popular media narrative is that this country has shifted away from conservative ideas, as evidence by the last two presidential elections. That’s what they think, that’s what they say, that might be true if Republicans had actually nominated conservative candidates in 2008 and 2012."

AMEN Perry!!!

One more look at what Sen. Ted Cruz said:
"You want to know what happened last election cycle? We didn't win the argument for the American people. The Democrats' story is the Republicans are the party of the rich, the Democrats are the party of everybody else. And if that's the narrative people believe, we'll never win another national election."

Now read what I wrote on March 5th 2012 almost a year before Cruz made that statement:

The thing that is troubling to me is this.... It took YEARS to change the image of the Republican Party from one of being strictly a rich white mans party. Little by little it was being chipped away and then Reagan became president. It was because of him the Conservative Right was born or at least had a major revival. If Mitt grabs the nomination he will undo all the changes that have been made to the GOP and once again it will be known as the party of rich white men and the Conservative Right well.... we will be homeless.

If you care to read the whole article I wrote just let me know and I can zip it out to you.

Portman true colors come out
Senator Rob Portman came out in favor of same sex marriage citing the reason for his change of position is his son is a homosexual. RINO Rob changes his moral convictions, his political beliefs because of his sons behavior? Houston we have a problem. It is one thing to stand by your son or daughter but it is another thing to condone or accept immoral and unnatural behavior. If Portman was any man of conviction he would stand by his conservative principles and tell the public this is a family matter, I don't condone my sons behavior and it will not affect my thinking. RINO ROB NEEDS TO BE VOTED OUT!!!!

Voted YES on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage. (Sep 2004)
Voted YES on banning gay adoptions in DC. (Jul 1999)
Supports Amendment to prevent same sex marriage. (Aug 2010)

And now his son is queer and he changes his position.

I just can't help myself, I just have to include this... one more comparison between Mitt and the Oh-bama.

They looked at each other and they decided, 'We know that, in the world as it has been, it might not be possible for us to get together and have a child, but something is stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Alabama, because some folks are willing to march across the bridge. And so they got together, and Barack Obama Jr. was born.
"So don't tell me I don't have a claim on Selma, Alabama," Obama said.

What Obama was talking about here was because of the march across the bridge in Selma, Alabama his parents, a black father and white mother were allowed to get together and conceive a child. Only problem with that statement is Obama was born in '61 and the march happened in '65.

And then there was this march
"My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit." Mitt Romney in a 1978 interview.
The problem is this... Mitt nor his father marched with MLK.
Two reasons I brought this up. I was just made aware of the absurd statement by Obama and it goes along with another reason the GOP lost. Obama and Mitt were eerily similar. Voters had no choice between the two main party's. Lets put this to rest.

They're still trying to figure it out.

MONTHS have passed since the 2012 election and people are still trying to explain why Republicans lost. In fact top Republican leaders are meeting to - DUH - figure out why they lost. Do they really need to figure this out?
What did U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz say about this while at the Cuyahoga Lincoln Day Dinner...
"You want to know what happened last election cycle? We didn't win the argument for the American people. The Democrats' story is the Republicans are the party of the rich, the Democrats are the party of everybody else. And if that's the narrative people believe, we'll never win another national election."
Is Cruz for real? If he is he won't get to far with that analysis. The GOP for years had the label the party of the rich. Reagan changed it by bringing on board Reagan Democrats and the Christian Conservative Right. What changed it back to the party of the rich? Romney. Republicans have been labeled the rich man's party once again because voters look at the nominee or president elect of where the party is headed whether this is right or wrong. If Cruz thinks we could of won the argument with Mitt as our nominee he just doesn't get it. Mitt was the stock market big government establishment picked nominee. While people are looking for work and trying to get by Romney's business past hi-lighted mergers, shut downs, buy outs, and speculation. To the average person he was partly to blame for hardships we are experiencing. Mitt never ran a store or ran a typical business - period.
Locally here in NE Ohio what is the thinking on why the Republicans lost? A couple of Tea Party's are in agreement with another reason why the GOP failed. They believe the reason the Republican's lost the presidential election was due to the fact that they are not attracting the conservative Hispanic and Afro-American voting bloc.
I believe Republicans do not need to attract Afro-Americans or Hispanics or minorities. Going after smaller groups such as minorities, unions, homosexuals to name just a few is the Democratic Party's philosophy. The Democrats need to woo these smaller groups because their message as a whole is anti-American and anti-Constitution. These individual groups that make up the Democratic voting bloc do not care as long as they get what they want.
The GOP's base on the other hand is much wider. Their base is the Christian/Conservative right which encompasses ALL nationalities, ALL races and ALL people of faith. If the Republicans would stay true to their platform it would also spread out to voters who are very conscience of the Constitution and people of wealth because of its limited government stance.
This may be an extreme example and maybe I am wrong for writing it but Lincoln did not go after the African or slave vote they followed him because he did what was right. With Reagan he had a strong message and even though he was a Conservative even Democrats came out to vote for him. The Republicans simply lost because they drifted from their platform and alienated their base.
Furthermore Republicans were beyond hypocritical in their pushing of Romney. The GOP blasted Obama for mandated healthcare, same sex marriage, fees, gun control but where did some of this start? In Massachusetts while Romney was governor. What made them abandon their principles in favor of Romney? They drooled all over themselves when they saw Mitt's wallet and his fund raising capabilities. What did Republicans do with all this money? They used it to convince you that Mitt was a Conservative and the only one who could beat Obama. They could of saved all that money and gathered around Ron Paul who already had ground troops or Santorum who had a strong message. Instead they gave us Obama.
In conclusion IF Republicans expect to win again they need to quit pushing RINOS and act like Republicans if not get out of the way and let a third party in. We do not need two Democratic Party’s, which is what's happening now.
