911 and my thoughts

Friends maybe I shouldn't be sending something controversial on the day of 9/11 but here it is anyways.

Up until my trip to NY city in 2007 with my friend Dov I thought two planes flew into the towers end of story. I remember also a month before NY I was in Boston on another trip with Dov and was quite vocal and upset about the protest that was going on about uncovering the truth about 9/11. I thought these people were unAmerican and crazy. And then that trip to NY occurred that made me take a second look and question things.

I am still not 100% convinced either way, was it just the two planes or was it more than meets the eye? Having met and having personal talks with three people who were at the towers on that fateful day I am still not sure what to believe. Could it be all three are correct from what they experienced?

Those three individuals were George Sleigh who was the last man out of the north tower and believes it was nothing more than planes that took the towers down, Willy Rodriguez who was in the basement where explosions took place before the planes hit and led firefighters up the stairways letting people out, and Harry History real name not known but he showed me photos of building seven before it went down hours later.

Conspiracy? I don't know but this I do know, America has not been the same, our way of life has changed from run away inflation to our freedoms being in jeopardy and radical Islam who was suppose to be behind this is making great gains worldwide.

Makes you really wonder what is going on and why instead of being united as we were right after 9/11 we are more divided than ever. Lets remember this otherwise all those who died - died in vain.

Hey Gang,
From the Connie Dictionary:
Careyism"; definition: strange and unique things that only happen to Carey that are so unique they have to be true.
I probably don't have to put a disclaimer any more on my writings but thought I should for the few new ones that have just joined in.

During our trip to NY I was hoping to tour Ground Zero but Dov saw it already and wanted to see the Financial District instead. We got off the subway and were walking towards it when we noticed the Trade Center site was close by so I got lucky and was able to.

While snapping photos I heard this guy jabber jawing to a young girl and her Father. So I eavesdropped not knowing if this guy was legit or just a scamming panhandler. They walked away and he barked loudly, I'M HARRY HISTORY, KNOW YOUR HISTORY DON'T LET IT BE A MYSTERY.

Still not knowing if this guy was a nut I said kind of coldly "Hey can I see your pictures?" This guy Harry History had photo albums, maps, and other papers of the layout of the World Trade Center. He was very friendly and obliged and just started talking away. Do you know how many building there was? I replied 6 or 7. He said then you know, most people think there was only two that fell.

He said he worked for I believe Automark and having credentials to get back into the buildings was able to take pictures. I only talked to him about 15 minutes if that and he was telling me so much and talked so fast it was hard to keep up so I am trying my best to recall everything as accurately as possible.

Harry had photos of the below ground entrance to building seven after the two main towers had been hit and were already falling apart. In the midst of the rubble you can clearly see that a tenant of building sevens door were still in tact and not damaged. I am assuming all the buildings were connected underground like a mall. Harry History went on to say now why did building seven fall three and a half hours later, you can see this picture - and did you know all the files from Enron and other valuable documents were in it?

Harry History went on to say that he managed to get on top of one of the other buildings. Again he touted his credentials of being an aerial photographer that's why he was allowed up there. As he was taking pictures an FBI agent was next to him telling him you can take pictures but only in a certain area. Harry directed his camera towards building seven. The FBI agent warned him, took his photo card from his digital camera and chased him away. He managed to hide another filled card in his shirt pocket.

He told me about the Silverstein building that was built where building seven was, it only took 22 months to have it erected. Harry quoted a bible verse and said the last shall be first and the first shall be last.

I asked him how he survived. He showed a picture of his young daughter on the steps of school, it was her first day so he drove her and went to work late. I wish I could remember all he told me but my mind was racing in a million different directions. IF all this wasn't true where did he get the photos, the maps, and all his knowledge, it was uncanny!

I asked him so is this a cover up, our government, Arabs, who did this? He became uneasy and said sternly, that's what I tell people, do the research, find out for yourself. I pressed another time the same question again he became uneasy and repeated That's what I'm telling you, do the research!

It was time to go so I shook his hand, gave him a donation. As I walked away, I heard him shouting loudly I'M HARRY HISTORY, KNOW YOUR HISTORY, DON'T LET IT BE A MYSTERY!

Later in the day at the hotel I talked to Allen on the phone. He said this Wednesday there is a Ron Paul meet-up group and 911 meeting. I said make sure you get details I want to go.

Wednesday arrives and Allen, Chris, Uncle Akky and I head to the Ron Paul meeting, at least that's what I thought it was. It turned out to be nothing associated with Ron Paul but his Meet Up group passed the info on and some attended. The speaker was Willy Rodriguez whom I never heard of before. As we entered this run down old church building off Detroit Ave. in Cleveland there was a buzz of the nights topic, 911. The crowd was small but an interestingly mixed crowd. The speaker was pointed out to me before the event took place. Again I never heard of Willy Rodriguez but thought before his speech I should get a photo of him and ask a few questions.

Willy was more than happy having his picture taken. I still had the photo of Harry History on my digital camera so I asked Willy do you know this man? Willy replied Of course, he is out there everyday telling people what he saw. Willy didn't know Harry real well but enough to know he is out there every day, he worked at the site, and his mind was affected by the events. That gave Harry History some merit.

After I took the picture with Willy, Mike L. who heads the Cleveland area Coast to Coast Group, remarked, you just had your photo taken with one of the premier 911 guys!

Willy Rodriguez took the stage. At first I wasn't sure where he was going with his talk. Then he got into the heart of his speech. There is no way I can remotely write all that he said but I can touch on some of it.

Willy was the janitor who maintained the stairways of one of the World Trade Center Towers. His story is another miracle. He was going to call off work since it was such a beautiful day but his boss talked him into working because there would be no one to clean. As Willy put it, who else would be willing to go up 110 stories and clean every step. So he agreed to come in late. Thank God he did. If Willy would of arrived at his normal time he would of went up to Windows of the World to eat breakfast as he normally did and would of been on one of the top floors when the plane hit. Instead he showed up late and skipped breakfast.

The Towers had six floors underground. The janitorial service Willy worked for was on 3 B. When he arrived for work he went directly there. Shortly after there was such a big explosion it lifted him and his coworkers off their feet. It set off the sprinklers. There was smoke and something in the air that was harsh and burning their lungs. They heard screaming, a guy in the next room was yelling EXPLOSION! They ran to him and thought he had red gloves hanging from his hands. It was hard to see but as they got closer they realized it was the guys skin hanging off. Just then another explosion rocked the building. That was the plane flying into the tower.

I could write more but I would only be writing what already has, do a search on line for Willy Rodriguez read his story and tell me what you think. The premise of his speech was not so much as who did this but what has happened to our liberties and freedom since and the cover up concerning the victims who were in the Towers during 911. Everyone should educate themselves on the Home Land Security Bill and the Patriot Act.

After his speech I approached him and asked, I heard everything you said but I need something confirmed, there was an explosion and then the airplane? YES - first the explosion in the sub floors and then from above he replied!!

Now I am not saying I believe everything I hear but what I am marveling at is how all this came together for me. 911 has never been to much a concern of mine, planes flew into the Towers end of story. But now I am looking at this event much closer and starting to ask why and if? All this started from a quickly planned road trip to NY with only a week in advance notice. Then we weren't planning on seeing the WTC site and we do. Follow that up with Willy Rodriguez coming to Cleveland to speak and him knowing Harry History. Then to top it off at the Coast to Coast Group this past Saturday the last speaker was a fellow named Mel who spoke on 911. You just can't plan things like this.

Makes one think, don't it?
Carey

*The events in this email took place from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6, 2007

**I like to stress that I just repeated what I was told and heard, not knowing Harry or Willy personally I can't say for certain what they said was the truth. And I myself am not ready to believe fully in the conspiracy theories but it has me really wondering. As Harry History told me DO THE RESEARCH! I challenge you, report back in and tell me what you think.

Don't drink the tea? - Republican presidental hopefuls square off in Tampa Monday (Tea Party Debate)

This is pure BUNK shame on America and thee media for manipulating our election.

This is a Tea Party debate??? Oh really? CNN and the Tea Party Express? The Tea Party Express should now be viewed as hostile to our movement, do not support it, stick to your home groups. Shame on you and the rest for believing this is actually a Tea Party debate.

A tea party debate should be for true tea party candidates.

Mitt Romney is an immoral liar, and Huntsman is is a Rhino plus he is way behind in the polls and yet they allow him in the photo but exclude Santorum who has character and morals.

Any Tea Party group knows that Romney is a globalist and being built up as the candidate only so when the presidential election comes he will easily get defeated by Obama. Wake up and quit drinking the tea. Toss is back into the harbor.

Protect your mind from such nonsense, watch the debate with guarded eyes. Do not believe all you see and or hear. Its a sham!

Tampa, FL -- The eyes of the political world will once again be on Tampa Monday when the eight leading Republican candidates for president square off in a national debate from the Florida State Fairgrounds.

Scheduled to participate in the "Tea Party Debate" sponsored by CNN and the Tea Party Express are Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann, businessman Herman Cain, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman, Texas Representative Ron Paul, Texas Governor Rick Perry, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum.

The event will be moderated by CNN's lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer, who says the toughest part of his job is to make sure the candidates all get equal time.

"When you have eight candidates up on a stage you try and be fair, you want to make sure all of them get as much time as the others," Blitzer said.

But unlike other debates, the moderator will not be the only one asking questions on Monday. Audience members will also be allowed to quiz the candidates. Plus, questions will be taken from Tea Party members at debate watch parties in Arizona, Ohio and Virginia.

In addition, Blitzer says people at home will be able to submit questions online through Facebook, Twitter or www.CNNPolitics.com.

"When I interviewed President Obama in Iowa a few weeks ago, I got a lot of good questions from my Twitter followers. When I interviewed D*** Cheney in Los Angeles, I got a lot of good questions from Facebook or Twitter, so this interaction with people out there is really great."

Subjects expected to be discussed on Monday include the size of government, social security, taxes and, of course, the economy.

Blitzer adds his hope is that voters come away informed.

"My hope is that people will emerge from the debate a little bit smarter and have a better educated vote than they would before.

Monday's 2-hour debate begins at 8 p.m. and can be seen on CNN. Share Twitter Facebook

America News and Views news letter - FURTHERMORE August 25Th

Host Bob Murphy along with Carey Masci and special guest Rusty Bliss running for US Senate were in the studio on August 25TH. Dale Fellows just returning from his trip to Canada arrived after the show.
Bob had to leave early during the last half and left Carey and Rusty to close out the remaining minutes.

Furthermore....

Bob Murphy started things off with humorous headlines about last Tuesdays earthquake. One of the greatest gifts we have from our creator is the ability to laugh even through trying times. It cleanses the soul. Humor is very important in many ways and when done right can highlight shortcomings or wrongs to make a point, especially when it concerns politics.

From there they moved on to one of Carey's biggest concerns, mandatory house inspections.

I received an email after the show that said
Carey instead of harping about mandatory inside house inspections why don't you talk about other important topics.

I replied with this statement:
I take offense to the term harping it makes me wonder if you truly understand what is at stake. I will continue this fight until it is repealed. A mans house is his castle, whether he rents or owns. This is in clear violation of the Constitution. There are not many things in life a person can call his own, two of them are where a person resides and the right to privacy. Please concentrate on this... IF the government on any level can demand entry into ones residence then they can demand anything.

Repeating over and over again about house inspections is no different than Bob constantly bringing up about Obama's ineligibility to be president. Has either one of these issues been resolved? Nope. Then we should continue on talking about them until they are as well as any other serious issue that puts America and our freedom in jeopardy.

Furthermore... Whether I am partially responsible for this I don't know but Euclid is now allowing family members to stay in your house without government interference. One of the problems I had with the city was the warrant they issued to me for having my nephew in my rental. This was back in 2009 and at that time the city said I don't care if its your dad staying in your rental, you did not register it with us. So it appears we are making inroads.

The last ten minutes or so was getting to know Rusty Bliss who is running for US Senate. Rusty said that he is very concerned about his childrens future and America, I had to get involved.

Rusty Bliss writes: It’s always great to visit with Bob on the air because we have a wonderful forum that isn’t held to political correctness and you can tell it like it is. I feel that as a public servant I need to first LISTEN to their constituency, take those concerns and temper them with my own experience and ideas to forge viable legislation that works FOR “The People” and not as a one-way mandate.

I have been a part of the Ohio workforce my entire working life. We need a common sense approach in D.C. that we don't see right now. Wasted spending and loss of principle beliefs.

My approach to revitalizing Ohio industry starts with America’s greatest export, aerospace. The aerospace industry accounts for $51.2 billion to our trade balance, the largest of any manufacturing sector. Last year the industry exported $77.5 billion, providing an important boost to our economy. This industry has deep roots in Ohio.

The future holds incredible promise as I have had several high level meetings with key figures in this industry. We just need leadership and innovative thinking on behalf of Ohio in Washington to help as the catalyst. The aerospace industry is truly one from which the state and country can draw inspiration. It creates jobs, bolsters our competitiveness and improves our balance of trade. Aerospace and defense research and development secures our nation’s future and strengthens the industrial base.

Good news indeed and makes Ohio's future look much brighter.

In closing...
Doing a thirty minute show is very challenging trying to cover everything and it was made even more difficult because I had to leave early. I need to thank Carey for not saying anything that the FCC could of used to banish us off the air. Just kiddin' Carey, you did a fine job. And as for Rusty Bliss, I respect him as a person and even more so as a father. Here is a person running for office for the correct reason, not because he needs a job but because of his concern for his children's future. That’s very admirable. And really, isn't that how our elected officials should be, from our community representing us and because of their concern for America and not because they need a job? Think about it.

Signing off but will be signing on again Thursday, hope you will be joining us.
Your Friend,
Bob Murphy

America News and Views news letter - FURTHERMORE

Host Bob Murphy and Carey Masci were manning the mics on August 18Th as co-host Dale Fellows was up north in Canada and prominent lake county attorney Geoff Weaver could not make it.
While Dale was fishing Bob wasted little time before wading into the murky waters of whats going on locally and nationally, so many issues, so many problems, so much to talk about.

Furthermore....

Bob asked Carey what is going on with Euclid you have a problem with them. Carey said Bill O Reily gave a short description of socialism, its when government takes over commerce and property. This is in parallel with the horrible housing policies of Euclid. Socialist policies that make it extremely difficult to sell houses in Euclid. Realtors have been asking Euclid to please ease up.

A new proposal being looked at is even worse then the current rules in place. It has landlords taking classes with the Euclid Police and housing department and EPD maintains contact info. This is not only big government which we are fighting against, this is HUGE government.

Euclid is trying to change results without changing the cause that made the result. Bob understands and says it stems from inept leaders, NO vision. What needs to be done is repealing of the mandatory house inspections which are unconstitutional and put in place a system that is based on laws being violated. If a house is deemed unsafe from the outside or repeated calls to the police or housing dept from neighbors, then you have probable cause to enter.

Bob also made comments on how they have destroyed the real estate market by micromanaging. Its all grinding down, the government has a strangle hold on free enterprise which ties in with Obama.

How did Obama get elected? By anti-American sentiment. People no longer want to work, they want their entitlements, they want the government to take care of them. All anti-American thinking. Bob feels that at least 35% of people living in America are anti American. What this country needs is a strong pro-American leader, someone who makes you feel proud and patriotic.

Carey explained what the straw poll in Iowa showed. The results showed that its not the economy stupid its the morals. Three of the top four spots were won by moral Christian Conservative Candidates and the one that doesn't waiver the most in his message is Rick Santorum. If you want this country to turn around you need a strong moral person as president.

It was an informative 30 minutes that challenged the voting public to get involved. It's up to us to change things.

I don't bash just to bash, I do it to make a point, I do it to inform and educate, I do it because I love this country. I still believe America is the beacon of light to the world. Its up to us to make sure it continually shines.
Your Friend,

Bob Murphy.

what the canadian said and england

At the vintage RV gathering I attended over the weekend, a couple from Canada were in attendance.

Over dinner the lady from Canada spoke up and said I have news for you, YOU DO NOT NEED A PASSPORT TO ENTER CANADA - I REPEAT YOU DO NOT NEED A PASSPORT but you do need one to reenter the US.

I then spoke up and said you do not need a passport to enter the US if you are Mexican, you just walk over.

The ladies husband chimed in with This has nothing to do with security, this has to do with a oppressive government controlling the people, what is wrong with Americans, why don't they rise up and take their country back.

Friends our Northern Neighbors are watching.
__________________________________
taken from a Yahoo news story about the riots in England:
The riots appeared to have little unifying cause — though some involved claimed to oppose sharp government spending cuts, which will slash welfare payments and cut tens of thousands of public sector jobs through 2015.

Pay close attention to what is happening in Wisconsin. Could the US be next with revolt over government spending cuts like Greece has and England is now experiencing? The Dems have created class warfare and it could get real ugly to the point of a civil war.

I watched the communist Ed Shultz tonight on TV coming live from Wisconsin stirring up the crowd for tomorrows election. It was sickening the signs and the people screaming. Governor Scott Walker is doing all he can to balance the Wisconsin budget and this is what happens? This is scary where this could lead. Freedom of speech is one thing, but when it stirs up the masses to the point of unrest , then the plug should be pulled on Ed Shultz.

United we stand - divided we fall, how close are we to seeing those words come true?

The TOP 10 REASONS for the falling stock market

Well well well, stocks are falling faster than Obama's approval rating but hey who is really to blame for this?

I have heard many different reasons for the tail spin, including fear, sluggish economy, no jobs and even the Tea Party is to blame - Wow I feel important!

So I want to clear up the confusion and present to you:

The TOP 10 REASONS for the falling stock market according to the Obama administration:

10. It's Bush's fault.

9. It's Bush's fault.

8. It's Bush's fault.

7. It's Bush's fault.

6. It's Bush's fault.

5. It's Bush's fault.

4. It's Bush's fault.

3. It's Bush's fault.

2. It's Bush's fault.

And THE NUMBER ONE REASON for the falling stock market according to the Obama administration is:

                                                        It's Bush's fault!

another moderate step ups and another is off the list

Well Jon Huntsman announced his candidacy and I say NEXT!

He is off my list.

Huntsman had this to say about same sex marriage:
"I don't know that that bans it specifically," Huntsman said. "I think that ultimately could be a court case and that might be adjudicated in court over time if it ever gets to that level. But that wasn't clear." The Republican governor says that while he supports traditional marriage, he also supports same-sex civil unions.

"To my mind, and to the mind of a lot of Utahns, equate to equal rights to all people, and I stand by that and I will continue to stand by that," Huntsman said in his monthly news conference Thursday.

aken from http://www.ksl.com/?sid=6251467&nid=148

Another moderate - another talking out of both sides of their mouth and another small step towards social engineering. Gee marriage should be traditional but lets allow civil unions! Excuse me - but what the heck is a civil union? In my book its almost identical to marriage.

Plus he was appointed by Obama to be ambassador to China. Do you remember the last person we elected who was an ambassador to China? One clue - read my lips, no new taxes.

Enough said.
By By Romney and Huntsman the Mormon Debacle Choir has just left the building.

welcome Fiat

Friends I went back to my archives for this. The reason is because John in Maine just sent me an email about Fiat talking over Chrysler at a billion or more loss to us the taxpayers.

Also please note near the end where I wrote ...Obama puts tighter restrictions on collector cars...

This was before the cash for clunkers which started up in July 2009. Where do tomorrow's classic and collectors cars come from. Usually a clunker someone restores.

Please read this.
CKM

written May 20, 2009
I had a hard time titling this article. My choices were "Big government got even bigger", "Hitlers and Obama's vision of a peoples car", "Obama grabs more power".   All three fit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An article from Yahoo news.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/bloomberg/20090430/pl_bloomberg/aoybbwn4b6le

Excerpts from it.
The president’s staff is aiming for Chrysler to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection as early as today to pave the way for Fiat to take a 20 percent stake in the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based automaker. If Chrysler has to go through bankruptcy, it won’t take long, Obama said. Is this the role of a president? Why is an American President, have to add the word American because maybe he isn't?, trying to forge an alliance with a foreign company? What happened to the stout little 2.2 Chrysler had, why can't they revive that? Why isn't Obama encouraging ANY American company to step up and supply a small engine, even a company like Harley Davidson? Honda started out as a motor cycle manufacturer.

Chrysler’s best assets would be sold to a new entity that would have an ownership structure similar to that envisioned in an out-of-court deal between the U.S. automaker and Turin, Italy-based Fiat, said the people, who declined to be named because discussions are private. Once again America is getting fleeced. The further weakening of America to bring on the one world government.

Marchionne restored profit at Fiat in 2005 after introducing new models and sharing more components among cars and through cooperative projects with competitors. Fiat has several partnerships including ventures or joint projects with PSA Peugeot SA, Ford Motor Co. and Tata Motors Ltd. Fiat, Ford, Chrysler are are intertwined. Honda engines were put in Saturns. The Chevy HHR is made in Mexico. I could go on and on.

One issue remaining is the U.S. government’s effort to combine Chrysler Financial and GMAC LLC, the lending units affiliated with Chrysler and General Motors Corp. Now the government is attempting to combine GMC with Chrysler after Obama encouraged the merger of Chrysler with Fiat! Can you see where this heading? Will any American company be safe? And still most of you don't believe in the one world government theory.

If thats not enough read these excerpts from the most recent Yahoo news.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090519/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_obama_autos

President Barack Obama is asking consumers to put their money — up to $1,300 per new vehicle by 2016 — behind his plan for higher efficiency standards for cars and trucks and tougher rules on their greenhouse gas emissions. In return, Obama said Tuesday in unveiling the plan, drivers would make up the higher cost of more fuel-efficient, cleaner vehicles by buying less gas at the pump.

A new peoples car, similar to what Hitler had in mind with the Volkswagen. BUT at least Hitlers vision was for cheap affordable cars.

Carpenters will still haul materials around in pickup trucks, but they will cost more. And so will the services we get from landscapers, plumbers etc... and everything else we buy.

That means cars and trucks on American roads will have to become smaller, lighter and more efficient.

Eric Fedewa, vice president of global powertrain forecasting for the auto consulting firm CSM Worldwide in Northville, Mich., said the changes will make pickup trucks so much more expensive that they will be used almost exclusively for work.

Goodby rv's! Which also means the big pickup trucks that people use to haul or tow everything from boats, atv's, horse trailors, to mention a few, will not exist. What are we suppose to use??

Of course, developing the technology will cost money — billions of dollars — and automakers will pass that on to their customers. Whats in your wallet?

This sentence is very very important, read this carefully!!!
Automakers have said they need stable, relatively high gasoline prices to create a market for electric vehicles. General Motors fears rolling out its rechargeable Chevrolet Volt next year with gas at $2 per gallon. THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY GAS IS SOARING AGAIN!!! The government needs to create a need.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe with all the new rules and government interference it won't be long before Obama puts tighter restrictions on collector cars which could spell the end of the hobby. Enjoy it while you can.

This is whats wrong with the GOP - they do not police the party

Republican presidential candidate Gary Johnson thinks the pledge that an Iowa Christian conservative group is circulating is offensive because it condemn gays, single parents, divorcees, Muslims, women who choose to have abortions “and everyone else who doesn’t fit in a Norman Rockwell painting.”
The Family Leader, a conservative advocacy group led by Sioux City’s Bob Vander Plaats, last week introduced a pledge that calls for fidelity to one’s spouse, vigorous opposition to anything but monogamous one-man/one-woman marriage, a cooling off period for those seeking a fast divorce, earnest legal defense of the Defense of Marriage Act, rejection of Sharia Islam and all other anti-woman forms of totalitarian control, recognition of the benefits of robust childbearing and reproduction, action against any illegal pornography, and protection for women from forced prostitution and forced abortion

taken from
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20110710/NEWS09/110710001/-1/

People who have strong moral principles and stand up for what this country was founded on understand the above pledge.  As for Gary Johnson, he should be censored from the Republican Party.

Even here locally with the Lake GOP we have by laws and principles to follow. If we don't make sure they are being followed why have them? Just lets become the party of anything goes.

Carey Masci

Important side notes: Mitt Romney also refused to sign it. Rick Santorum was the first to sign the above pledge as well as Michelle Bachman. And a note to my friends who are now leaning more towards the Libertarian thinking Repubs, is this the kind of person you want as president someone who won't stand up for whats right?

The Obesity Epidemic. Be informed

Hey Gang,

A friend told me tonight that maybe there really is global warming. And I said Nahhh we just went through one of the coldest winters on record. Its just the age of extremes. Like the obesity epidemic going on while people are starving to death. Its either feast or famine. Which leads me right into my topic.

The Obesity Epidemic.

Well now we have another war, the war on fat. The new battle of the bulge.

Rep. Stephen King of Iowa said the gov now wants to tell people what to eat. The energy bar has about 150 calories. People eat it for the quick energy. The gov wants to cut it down to 90 calories. King went on to say kids won't be satisfied with 90 calories so they will buy two. And instead of 150 calories you now will have 180. Even with chips and Doritos the gov wants them to cut down on calories. How will they do it? By putting a few less chips in a bag. Rep. King, I hear ya loud and clear.

Is this what we want our gov to do? They can't reduce spending but they want to reduce our weight. UGHHHH!

And government always fights itself. Here is a good example. Michelle Obama is trying to do something about obesity and there is Ron Paul trying to legalize pot. Everyone knows you smoke pot, you get the munchies and you get lazy. Maybe he should try to legalize crack, the real diet pill.

Here are some interesting statistics. They say people are the fattest in our Southern states. Well no kidding. Do you feel like exercising when its 98 degrees? And people weigh less in Colorado. Well of course, its higher elevation, the scales work differently.

If only our fearless leader Obama would relax and the let the economy breath maybe jobs would return, people would work again and people would lose weight instead of sitting collecting welfare and eating snacks.

So I bring to you my top ten ways to make people lose weight.

10. Makes forks and spoons smaller.

9. Pass a law that all you can eat buffets serve nothing but salad and granola bars.

8. Continue Obama's energy policy which will make people walk everywhere.

7. Put scales at the check outs of restaurants and grocery stores, it you weigh more than you should you pay a fat tax of 25%

6. Arrest Burger King, Ronald McDonald, Jack in the Box and Wendy and put them in Gitmo.

5. Deport all illegal Mexicans and make lazy Americans cut their own grass.

4. Convince people the less you weigh the more MPG's you will get in your car.

3. Revive the Twiggy craze.

2. Take the Food Network off the air.

And the Number One Way to Make People Lose Weight Is.....

Make sure Obama is a two termer because after 8 years no one will be able to afford to eat.

Finally some good news and correcting the liberals once again

Finally some good news. Way to go Santorum and Bachman.
Wouldn't that be a sweet ticket - Santorum and Bachman.

NOW READ THIS.
The leftist liberal spin monster socialists jumped all over Santorum and Bachman for signing this vow because of language in it that pertained to slavery. They said what is wrong with these two for signing such a bill with a reference to slavery, shame on them. (paraphrased)

This is the paragraph of the marriage vow the screwed up left complained about:

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA's first African-American President," the vow read.(taken from the NY Post)

Well this is what my research has dug up:

During the days of slavery a black child was more likely to grow up living with both parents than he or she is today.
Andrew J. Cherlin, Marriage, Divorce, Remarriage, rev. and enl. ed., (Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Press, 1992), 110 . See also Herbert G. Gutman, The Black Family in Slavery and Freedom, 1750-1925 (New York: Pantheon, 1976). For a review of this and similar studies see Stanley L. Engerman, "Black Fertility and Family Structure in the U.S. 1880-1940," Journal of Family History 2 (Summer 1977): 177ff.   Cited in The Abolition of Marriage, by Maggie Gallagher  page 117

(taken from http://www.divorcereform.org/black.html)

Then I dug this up about Dr. Blackman, who is she? Just look at her photo http://www.keepingfamilyfirst.org/blackman2007.html,

Then I went to this link http://www.keepingfamilyfirst.org/blackmaninterview.htmland read her interview.

These are a few lines from it:
Q........ You mentioned slavery--- we've heard individuals talk about the lingering effects of the institution of slavery being one of the causes for family problems in the black community. In his book published by the Harvard University Press, Andrew Cherlin states that, During the days of slavery a black child was more likely to grow up living with both parents than he or she is today..
A. (Dr. Blackman) Absolutely and the data is solid.

So the leftist liberals don't even research what they rant about? Anything a white conservative says or does is automatically wrong! Especially shame on the black liberal I saw foaming at the mouth on CNN complaining about Santorum and Bachman. They are doing nothing but trying to stand up for whats right. Why don't these leftist unGodly people just leave this country instead of spewing their divisive hate? And why doesn't the Christian Conservatives fight back instead of caving in?

In the mean time, lets get behind Santorum and Bachman.

health care petition news from lake county

Hello Dear Circulators,

Tuesday, accompanied by Connie and three Ashtabula compatriots I went to Columbus to witness the petitions being turned in to the Secretary of State's office. We then joined all participants at a picnic. It was certainly worth attending, but it knocked me off my feet as witnessed by my sleeping the most of the next day (yesterday).

There is so much I could share but I want to be as brief as possible, which actually takes more work than just gabbing on. So I put off this letter until today. Since then much more info has appeared in my Inbox. So I'm getting this out now. Just ask if you have any questions.

Final tally: 546,250 The validity rate of 85% was extremely high as pronounced by someone who checks petition validity for a living.The last I heard Lake County's was 89%. Usual validity rate is 65%. I didn't write the statement he made but it was along the lines of never having seen that high a rate before. I add that it's particularly good because some potential invalids are beyond our control (people move, die, made a mistake, weren't honest, etc.) and we have been doing this for15 months.

I like a quote from Maurice Thompson, our legal eagle. "He credited hard-working volunteers who believe in their freedoms for the high validity rate. 'We’re not paying them in cigarettes or crack-cocaine,' Thompson said."

Now about the paid volunteers. The Ohio Project leadership decided to not take chances and in May hired a professional company to a) check the validity rate and b) commit to 100,000 sigs, They came up with105,000. These were collected in the counties that were doing poorly in numbers (Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark etc.)

While I frowned upon hearing this a few weeks ago, in the end I am glad they made that decision. However all of over 441,000 + sigs, which not only made the needed goal but also gave us a nice cushion, were by volunteers.

That same professional validity checker mentioned above said something (at the picnic I just wasn't in note taking mode) about us being in the top five, in the whole country, to gather that many sigs by an all volunteer force.

However the Ohio Democratic Party has jumped on the paid circulator piece in an attempt to discredit us. Instead of telling you what I think, I'll share parts of some of the emails I've received. (ignore mildly different figures in first one) Pay particular attention to the last one.
------------------------------------------------------------------

"Recently, we’ve blogged about YAL chapters in Ohio helping out with The Ohio Project, which is a grassroots ballot initiative to nullify the federal healthcare mandate in Ohio. 385,000 signatures had to be gathered for the initiative to appear on the ballot this fall. On Thursday, about 550,000 signatures were turned in to the secretary of state (440,000 by the Ohio Project, and another 110,000 by a paid effort, Ohioans for Healthcare Freedom).

Now, this might seem like the end of the story. However, following this event, theOhio Democrat Party sent out a press release addressing the initiative. Usually, I ignore messages sent out by the two parties, but this one was so hideous that I felt it had to be addressed.

The message from Seth Bringman, the ODP’s communication director, is below.

'After over a year of paying petition circulators and collecting a modest amount of signatures, the Tea Party is patting itself on the back today. What the Tea Party won't tell you is that they are fighting against something that was a Republican invention championed by that Party's presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney. Their initiative is a waste of time and taxpayer money, and it doesn't come close to passing constitutional muster.

'We are proud to have been a partner with We Are Ohio, which collected nearly 1.3 million signatures to protect worker rights and worker safety.

'It remains to be seen how many of the Tea Party's signatures are valid, given that they were collected over such a long period of time and so many of the signatures were collected by paid circulators rather than volunteers.'

Let’s go through this message line by line.

After over a year of paying petition circulators and collecting a modest amount of signatures, the Tea Party is patting itself on the back today.

First, no signatures gathered by the Ohio Project were paid for. Second, Ohioans for Healthcare Freedom, which did pay for signatures, was formed in May, not “over a year” ago. As the numbers above showed, the vast majority of signatures were from non-paid circulators.

What the Tea Party won't tell you is that they are fighting against something that was a Republican invention championed by that Party's presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney.

This line makes two mistakes. First, it assumes the Ohio tea party groups and the Republican Party are the same thing, which they are definitely not. Second, it assumes that tea partiers like Mitt Romney. I can honestly say I have never met a Romney supporting tea partier.

Their initiative is a waste of time and taxpayer money, and it doesn't come close to passing constitutional muster.

This statement is so ridiculous it almost makes your head hurt. It asserts that the initiative “doesn’t come close to passing constitutional muster”, but somehow a federal law which mandates citizens to buy a private product does? Where was this concern for constitutionality before? Also, letting Ohioans get the chance to actually vote on this law is “a waste of time”.

"We are proud to have been a partner with We Are Ohio, which collected nearly 1.3 million signatures to protect worker rights and worker safety.

The ODP is part of another ballot initiative this fall to repeal SB5, a law restricting the powers of public unions. However, they leave out that “We Are Ohio” also paid petitioners, and has not disclosed how many of their signatures were from actual volunteers.

"It remains to be seen how many of the Tea Party's signatures are valid, given that they were collected over such a long period of time and so many of the signatures were collected by paid circulators rather than volunteers."

Once again, this line just reiterates their nonsense. Internal audits have shown the Ohio Project signatures to be 80-90% valid, which is well above any estimated validity rate of their own SB5 initiative.

While I shouldn’t be surprised at the near flat-out lies from this statement, I thought it had to be addressed. The more these types of distortions are called out and publicized, the better."

______________________________________________________________________

"Not a big deal. It doesn't hurt us, its hurting them. There are a lot of people working this project that are democrats. They see these outright lies from their party leaders and start questioning everything the Party is saying. Keep talking Seth!"
_________________________________________________________________________________
"The campaign arm for us, Ohioans for Healthcare Freedom, raised funds to pay for 105,000 signatures in order to help cover invalid signatures. We aren't out of the woods on the signatures yet until the Sec. of State says we are on the ballot (expected by July 26th). We need to keep getting signatures in July while we wait for the signatures to be counted. If we are short on signatures, we have an additional 10 days after the SoS reports back our numbers to collect more signatures to make up for a deficiency."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"One thing I want everyone to keep in mind is that, yes, the volunteer signatures were consistently validating at percentages in the high 80s. But also understand and keep in mind that the paid signatures have a lower validity rate - around 70%. Our validity will also very likely decrease some once the Boards of Elections (BoEs) validate. Unlike the BoEs, we are unable to check the actual signature in our process, and the BoEs frankly won't do as good of a job as we do when we validate.

Do not expect an overall validity of the high 80s with the combined signatures and BoE validity checking factored in.

While we are all feeling very good about what we've turned in, let's not get too confident until the fat lady sings and we have the final certification from the Sec. of State (SoS). Keep getting signatures. It would be really nice to collect an additional 30,000 signatures across the state this month to help us get a head start, should we somehow be short on signatures when the SoS reports the results. We've come this far ... let's not take our eye off the ball now."

commentary, some new and some a month late

Awww yes isn't it good to live in a country as ours? Emails still keep rolling in about the fake we have in the White House. But that's not the only thing that makes us proud, what about the city in Oregon that decided to cease using the Pledge of Allegiance because it is to divisive and saying we are citizens of the world not just America or how about our wonderful Secretary of State Hitlary petitioning Lady KaKa to perform for a Gay Pride event in Italy or how about Ron Paul joining forces with lovable ever so smart Barney Franks to legalize pot.

With all this going on did you expect America to elect a normal person as pres? Obama was in the right place at the right time. Hillary said it takes a village and I say it takes an asylum as in insane asylum where all of these people should be locked up. But of course that wouldn't be politically correct so lets make them czars.

Now last months humor. I got busy and never sent this out. But what the heck, its still worth a chuckle even if its stale.

In the NO KIDDING Department

Economic analyst's site the high gas prices as a major reason for the high unemployment numbers and low sales figures. And they went to school to figure this out?

Missing in action.
Has anyone seen Joe Biden? Just wondering.

Tweet tweet
Rep. Weiner's new screen name is Tweety Bird

He now admits it

Rep. Weiner now says yes he sent those photos. But what the heck, whats a little Weiner amongst friends.

They tried this
Cleveland congregations will unite people from churches, synagogues and mosques. Hasn't Israel tried this already? Has it worked there?

Back to school
President Obama's longtime adviser Austan Goolsbee will resign as the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers to return to teaching at the University of Chicago School of Business. Forget about teaching, he needs to enroll as a student. And if his grades are as high as current inflation, he will do just fine.

Hidden and Exposed

Edwards spent close to a million to hide his lover while Weiner just let it hang out.

Some help
Weiner went to Bill Clinton for advice. Slick said What I told Monica was next time just keep your mouth shut.

Weiner a Muslim?

Someone sent me an email stating the Weiner converted to Islam. My question is what way was he facing when he exposed himself?

A few current ones

An Indiana Amish man was convicted of sexting a 13 year old girl. Whats this world coming to? Since when do Amish use phones?

Someone please explain this very important question to me - OK?
Let me see if I understand. Obama will agree to make cuts only if the debt ceiling is raised. Well if cuts are made why does the debt ceiling need to be raised?

And lastly... Always remember you can lead a liberal to a bank but you can't make him save money.

Will try better to keep current but a late laugh is better than no laugh. Or something like that.

Friends,
Please make sure you tune in tomorrow July 7Th at 5 pm to 1330 WELW - America News & Views.

Host Dale Fellows and myself Carey Masci ask Representative Ron Young the ins and outs about Senate Bill 5 concerning the public workers unions and collective bargaining.

The three questions I asked were about the police forces, public workers being allowed to strike and since Ohio's population is down can't we reduce the amount of government workers?

Inform yourself as this is a huge battle concerning the unions right now not only in Ohio but all across this nation.

Off air Rep. Ron Young told me Ohio is broke and to reduce the size of government appropriately you would be left with a skeleton crew. SB5 is needed.

My thoughts on the second Republican presidential TV debate on CNN

My thoughts on the second Republican presidential TV debate on CNN.

First I like to bring up the moderator was extremely annoying with his grunts trying to hurry up the candidates he wanted to rush. Secondly, those lame little questions - deep dish or thin crust pizza. Who cares. The dumbest question by John King was when he said that Cain wanted to ask certain questions to Muslims but not to Christians or Jews. Why was that so hard for John to understand? Who are we at war with? Newt finally spoke up on this issue explained why and put the question to rest. And lastly the last few minutes of the debate was stupid and a waste of time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One candidate that gets no review other than my thoughts on him, is Mitt Romney. Everything from Mitt's placement in center, the longer time given to answer questions and it even seemed he got more questions than the others is set up for him to take the prize.
Mitt has changed his stance and opinion on a quite a few issues. Mitt at one time said he would do more for the gay agenda than Teddy Kennedy but now he is for a Constitutional Amendment that defines marriage as between a man and woman only. He seems too packaged, too prepared and will say anything to get elected. Enough on him. Don't trust him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The candidate I was surprised to see finally given recognition was Ron Paul. Usually they have him placed on the flank and he is hardly ever shown. He has worked his way into the lime light or maybe I should say his supporters got him there. Either way its good to see. He hasn't wavered in his views or opinions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was glad that the issue of an amendment defining marriage was raised. Santorum, Bachman, Pawlenty, Romney and Newt were for it and gave excellent reasons why. Paul blurted out his answer but I couldn't understand it, still don't know if he would support the amendment or not.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pawlenty had some good moments but at times sounded to much like a politician with little substance. His recognition of the vet who had asked a question had no merit, Mitt had just thanked the same person. To politician like, just not needed, seemed to canned.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gingrich's intelligence and grasp of issues was superb, as was Paul's knowledge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So who was the winner? I thought four came out on top. These four looked presidential and gave solid answers. In no particular order they were Gingrich, Bachman, Santorum and Paul. Cain was also very close in the running.

Looking at this crop of candidates I don't find much weakness. I like this field of candidates way better than the ones who ran in '08. And compared to what the Dems are offering this is a far more moral and qualified group. Pick one and we should be OK.

Santorum gave the key sentence in the debate when he said ..you need to look at the authenticity of a candidate and looking at their record over time of what they fought for.
And that's where we come in. If we expect this country to turn around we best research each candidate to insure we get the right person elected as its up to us to educate and inform people of who is the correct choice because if we leave it up to the media they will give us another Obama or an unstable moderate that America may never recover from.

carey defends his thoughts on drugs and same sex marriage

This is my reply to someone on a meet up board about my thoughts on Ron Paul's stance on drugs and same sex marriage
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please you really need to rehash what I wrote over and over until it makes sense, because it does.
I have never questioned Ron Paul's faith as I am well aware of his Lutheran background and the many babies he has delivered but he is not thinking sensible about the issue of marriage and or drugs.
Please explain this. One state allows same sex marriage, this couple because they are married are allowed to adopt, then this couple decides to move to a state that doesn't recognize same sex marriages. Now what? This is an area that needs a uniform law. This is not like healthcare, education, roads etc....
Furthermore the Constitution needs to expand with the times. When it was written the perversion of same sex partners was unheard of. If you were caught in a homosexual act it was a harsh penalty, sometimes the death sentence. Just like with the advent of the computer, 20 years ago crimes committed using it were unheard of because the Internet was just coming of age. So laws had to be made. Follow me?
About drugs. Making the comparison with alcohol is not the best argument. Would we be better off without alcohol? Only a fool would say we wouldn't be. Think of how many lives would of been saved, think of how the quality of life would be improved, whether its production in the workforce or family life. OK so we tried the experiment with prohibition and it failed, but you will never convince me America is a better place because we made it legal.
Besides, alcohol does have some merit, whether its in cooking, or as a beverage. Can you make that claim with drugs?
Continuing on about drugs...
Explain what freedom is there for a person that is hooked on drugs? What about crack babies? What about communities that are in shambles with people afraid to leave their houses because of the drug violence? And if you are concerned about financial matters, what about welfare and the cost for drug treatment? ALL of America is paying for this. IS there freedom in any of this? Making drugs legal would that make families stay together? Make a more productive worker? Make crime go down? Should I go on?
I have an older friend who is Iranian. He came to America in the late 50's to raise a family. He still has other family members in Iran. This friend went on to say how bad it is in Iran. One of the things the Iranian government does is pass out drugs freely to dope young people from starting a rebellion. Is there freedom in this? Study history and the downfall or decline of many civilizations and nations, its usually debauchery at the root.
And yes I stand by what I wrote: "In a free society you have to restrict certain freedoms to ensure that freedom continues"
There is no freedom with drugs. There is no freedom with allowing the communist party on ballots. Should I continue with examples of freedoms that should be restricted?
Lastly, the war on drugs hasn't failed, its our liberal judicial system and corruption in this country that has. If I know where the drug dealers are then why aren't the cops going to these street corners arresting them? Because most of the drug violence and crime is in the inner city black neighborhoods so who cares. It only becomes a problem when it reaches the white suburbs.
I must add this. One law that I would like to see and I have been telling people this. Any person caught dealing drugs or buying should be tried as helping terrorism. We are being doped out of our freedom to make way for a dictator. There is NO freedom in drugs.
Philippines Travel Warning
My dear friend Ruth recently went to Labason to visit her mother. She always gets concerned traveling there because the bus has to pass through Tungawan an ambush area from Muslim extremest. The Philippines army and guard do all they can to thwart their effort but the extremists move to another location.
Now think of how Israel must feel living with this fear and think of how in America we have let are guard down. They are in this country. Lets hope it never reaches the point as in the Philippines or other areas around the globe.
Today I received this travel warning from the US Gov.
CKM
June 14, 2011
The Department of State warns U.S. citizens of the risks of terrorist activity in the Philippines, particularly in the Sulu Archipelago and on the island of Mindanao. Terrorist attacks could be indiscriminate and could occur in other areas, to include Manila. Targeted sites may be public gathering places including, but not limited to, airports, shopping malls, conference centers, and other public venues. This Travel Warning replaces the Travel Warning dated November 2, 2010, and updates specific regions of concern and reflects continuing threats due to terrorist and insurgent activities.
Travelers should exercise extreme caution if traveling to Mindanao or the Sulu Archipelago. Regional terrorist groups have carried out bombings resulting in injuries and death. Sporadic clashes have occurred between lawless groups and the Philippine Armed Forces throughout Mindanao, particularly in rural areas. U.S. Government employees must seek special permission to travel to Mindanao or the Sulu Archipelago.
The Philippine government declared a state of emergency on November 24, 2009, for the Maguindanao and Sultan Kudarat provinces, as well as Cotabato City in Mindanao, as a result of election-related violence. Although the elections have passed, this state of emergency is still in effect. Travelers should be aware of heightened police activity and significant military presence in these areas. They should carefully research restrictions imposed on travel and follow the instructions of government officials.
Kidnap-for-ransom gangs are active throughout the Philippines and have targeted foreigners. U.S. citizens traveling, living, and working throughout the Philippines are urged to exercise heightened caution in public gathering places. U.S. citizens should exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of demonstrations since they can turn confrontational and possibly escalate to violence.
The Department of State remains concerned about the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against U.S. citizens and interests throughout the world. The Worldwide Caution reminds U.S. citizens that terrorism can occur anywhere.
We encourage all U.S. citizens in the Philippines to enroll with the Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program or at the U.S. Embassy in Manila. By enrolling, you can receive the Embassy’s most recent security and safety updates during your trip. Enrolling also ensures that we can reach you, or your designated emergency points of contact, during an emergency. The U.S. Embassy is located at: 1201 Roxas Boulevard, Manila, Philippines, tel. 63-2-301-2000. The American Citizens Services (ACS) section's fax number is 63-2-301-2017, and you may reach the ACS Section by email at ACSinfoManila@state.gov. The ACS Section’s website includes consular information and the most recent messages to the U.S. citizen community in the Philippines.
For more detailed information on general crime and security issues in the Philippines, please see the State Department’s Country Specific Information for the Philippines.
You may also obtain information on security by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll-free in the United States and Canada or, for callers outside the United States and Canada, a regular toll line at 1-202-501-4444.
